Abstract

One effect caused by a calamity is the psychological impact on the community. In December 2019 covid-19 viral infected many countries including Indonesia which later changed his status to make cause serious problems because there is no vaccine to prevent transmission of the virus. This condition requires every society to comply with government regulations as quarantine, PSBB, WFH, social distancing. The psychological impact that is often found in society is afraid of panic and other stress. Psychology is closely related to conducting this study will discuss architectural behavior that plays a role in the relationship between people and space. This research as if would explain what occurred in behavior and how your family made the architect can solve this problem by emphasizing psychiatric problems through the application for building design, occupancy of a room. The theory of architecture as a guide in determining objects for the attention that the occupants need through analysis of the type of activity and used before and during the pandemic. Abstract

This research is about coconut fiber material which has the potential to wall cover and the relationship between temperature and time of coconut fiber material in reducing temperature. The wall, as one of the building envelopes, endures high sun radiation. It needs the wall material that can reduce temperature to ensure thermal comfort inside the building. Gaining building thermal comfort requires architecture, knowledge, and skills as well as innovation. Lowering temperature in the room can be done through wall modifications so that it can lessen the use of air-con. Thus, research on the use of natural materials such as coconut fiber for walls is needed. This study is using an experimental approach. The coconut fiber was tested to measure the temperature reduction and study its linear equations from the relation between temperature and time given. The analysis is comparing two materials: (1) the mix of cement and sand without coconut fiber; (2) The mix of cement and coconut fiber material. The tests’ procedures are applying heat temperature to the side of the material and measuring the resulting absorbed temperature on the other side of both materials. Both of the material were exposed to 35°C heat temperature for 150 minutes. The materials are set in a box. The tests use 3 thermal sensors are T1, T2 and T3 and one heater. This heater is connected to the power source and a device to control the temperature given called Ts controller. The test shows different results between the temperature of material with coconut fiber and material without coconut fiber. The coconut fiber material has a lower temperature than that of without coconut fiber. The linear equation of the coconut fiber material related to the time and temperature shows the longer time, the lower the temperature is. Thus, it indicates the potential of coconut fiber material used as cover for building walls.

Abstract

This paper delves into the application of green building aspects in historical and modern homes, driven by the imperative to address the environmental impacts of building construction. Against the backdrop of evolving human needs and architectural forms, the study aims to assess the extent of green building implementation in typical old and modern houses. Methodologically, the research conducts a comprehensive analysis of six key aspects of green building—Appropriate Site Development, Energy Efficiency and Conservation, Water Conservation, Material Resources and Cycle, Indoor Health and Comfort, and Building Environment Management—through random observations of representative buildings from different time periods. The results indicate a notable discrepancy in the adoption of green aspects between historical and modern homes, with historical houses exhibiting a higher degree of integration. Specifically, historical homes scored 41 points in green aspect implementation, while modern houses scored 22 points. These findings underscore the importance of prioritizing sustainable building practices to mitigate environmental impacts and promote holistic well-being in residential constructions.

Abstract

This article aims to design a concept model that can support learning to improve students' ability in learning tasks to deal with problems that exist in the real world. Based on KKNI (Indonesian National Qualification Framework), there are six tasks in learning, namely routine tasks, critical book reports, critical journal reports, idea engineering (scientific or creative writing), mini research, and projects. Therefore, the learning process must be able to increase student learning motivation. In addition, it must also develop their competencies and skills to think critically, have high creativity, be able to work together in teams, be disciplined, be responsible, and be able to create frameworks and solve problems in life and the environment. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a learning model that is in accordance with these objectives. In this case, it is a learning model designed to encourage students to learn and practice, so that they are skilled in responding to problems based on their experience in learning. The approach in this development research was carried out using the ADDIE model. The design concept of this development model is done by combining a project-based learning model with six tasks based on KKNI (Indonesian National Qualification Framework). The results of the design concept of this development model consist of seven syntax stages, namely: material explanation, material review and formulation of problem formulation, study and review of book and journal literature, idea engineering (scientific or creative writing), mini research, project design and implementation, and presentation and evaluation.
