Abstract

Pada pembelajaran matematika di SD guru dapat mengetahui letak kesulitan belajar siswa dengan menggunakan tes diagnostik kesulitan belajar. Berdasarkan tes diagnostik guru dapat mengetahui materi-materi matematika yang belum dipahami siswa dan kemudian melakukan pengajaran remedial pada materi-materi matematika tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan agar guru dapat membuat tes diagnostik kesulitan belajar yang sesuai standar dan untuk memperoleh data kesulitan belajar siswa pada matematika dengan menggunakan tes diagnostik kesulitan belajar serta untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa sebelum mendapatkan pengajaran remedial dengan siswa sesudah mendapatkan pengajaran remedial. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif eksperimen yang dilakukan pada siswa kelas 4 sebanyak 40 orang. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembuatan tes diagnostik kesulitan belajar dimulai dengan membuat kisi-kisi soal pada pecahan yang mewakili topik penjumlahan dan pengurangan berpenyebut tidak sama, kemudian tes diagnostik diuji validitas dan reabilitasnya. Berdasarkan hasil tes diagnostik ternyata siswa masih kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita penjumlahan berpenyebut tidak sama sebesar 75 % dan menyelesaikan soal cerita pengurangan berpenyebut tidak sama sebesar 84 %. Rata-rata hasil belajar siswa sebelum mendapatkan pengajaran remedial : 42,33 dan sesudah mendapatkan pengajaran remedial : 82,08. Setelah dilakukan perhitungan dengan uji t, diperoleh t hitung t tabel, berarti ada perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa sebelum mendapatkan pengajaran remedial dengan siswa sesudah mendapatkan pengajaran remedial.Kata kunci : Tes diagnostik, kesulitan belajar, pengajaran remedial hasil belajar matematika.

Abstract

In general, the learning activity that occurs is more emphasis on the process of learning to learn to answer questions rather than learn how to present the question. Students do not learn how to bring mathematical problems (problem posing) are of interest to them, from a mathematical situation faced. This results in the problem of finding the weak ability of students, so the ability of the idea of finding and problem solving students also weak. Idea finding, problem finding and problem solving is an aspect of the ability of Creative Problem Solving (CPS) mathematically. Therefore, the ability of CPS becomes very necessary to be developed in the learning of mathematics. For this purpose, the necessary mathematics learning more digging ability in presenting the problem and resolve the concerns raised by the students themselves, using the Situation-Based Learning (SBL). This study used a quasi-experimental. The results of the study concluded that an increase in the ability to obtain mathematical CPS students getting SBL better learning than students who received conventional learning significantly. CPS strongest mathematical ability of the students are in fact finding aspects, while CPS mathematical abilities of the students in the weakest aspect of finding acceptance. Abstract

This study focused on the characteristics of the development of teaching materials, teachers and students in mathematics learning  based on Banten's culture. The Methods which is used in this research are  didactical  Design Research and experimental study, the subject of the study is a second grade of primary school student in the city of Serang  where this research  was taking place in academic year 2015/2016. The study stated that: Characteristics of teachers in mathematics learning  based on Banten’s culture, the teachers have the ability  of meta pedagogical skill in preparing the learning process  which is divided into three stages: before, during and after learning. Meanwhile, before learning the subject, The  Students  have to learn more about Banten’s culture, Also They discussed and solved the problems using it. On the last stage,  the students reflected  their knowledge and  shared their impressions after learning.Keywords: mathematical instruction, Banten Culture, Didactical Design Research.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to improve learning outcomes IPA class IV SDN 009 Kerampal Kecamatan Batang Gansal by implementing cooperative learning model NHT. Subjects in this study is a fifth grade students enrolled in the second semester of the 2015/2016 TP totaled 17 students consisting of 11 boys and 7 girls. This type of research is a classroom action research (Classroom Actions Research) which comprises two cycles (4 meetings). Based on the research and analysis of the data found that the average value before implementation of cooperative learning model NHT is 60.58. In the first cycle UH 1 daily value increased to 68.74 students who have increased as much as 13.46%, with the number of students who completed 11 students (64.71%). In the second cycle increased learning outcomes as much as 18,82% to 81.68. All students completed the implementation of the UH 2 as many as 17 people (100%). Activities teachers in the first cycle and the second cycle of successes 70.83% with good criterion. At the 2nd meeting becoming a 79.17% with good criterion. In the second cycle to meeting all first gained 83.33% success criteria very well. At the 2nd meeting be 95.83% with qualifications were excellent. Activities of students in the first cycle-one meetings to acquire 66.67% with good success. At the meeting of 2 to 75% with good criterion. In the second cycle to meeting all first gained success 83.33% with good criterion. At the 2nd meeting increased to 87.5% with qualifications also good. Abstract

This research described the students' errors in solving story qustions in grade IV SDN Serang 8. Most students find it difficult to interpret the purpose of the calculation questions in the form of stories and often get less scores because of the errors students make when students answer calculation questions in story form. This study aimed to find out what are the causes and errors made by students, then find out how the solutions can be given and carried out by students or teachers. This research used a qualitative approach with the descriptive type of research. By using content analysis methods, namely research by examining the text of documents or books to draw conclusions based on the context of their use. The data collection procedure was carried out by giving several research instruments in the form of 4 mathematical story questions about measurement and conducting interviews to produce oral data from participants. The findings of this study indicate that there are several facts that cause this occurrence of students’ errors. They are students did not understand the concept, students made calculation errors, some students did not answer correctly, and students did not answer in a complete way until the final answer. Researcher produced data on the level of ability of grade IV SDN 8 students. There are 3 students who have high ability level, 10 students have medium ability level, and 7 students have low ability level. This research was expected to help to provide solutions so that students are able to solve story problems correctly and according to the procedure for solving them.

Abstract

The low numeracy ability of student in elementary schools is focus problem in this study, particularly on multiplication theory during online learning. In addition, the inadequate use of methods in online multiplication learning has resulted in low student. This study aimed to determine the distinctions in the multiplication learning result of grade 2nd elementary school student after using Jarimatika method in online learning. This study is a quantitative with the experimental method by control group design. The number of samples is 20 students of class 2 A as the experimental group and 20 students of class 2 B as the control group. Tests and observations are the data collections technique is used. Based on the result of the hypothesis test by the Man Whitney test with the SPSS version 25 application, Sig value is obtained. (2-tailed) 0.165 0.05. This value states that the result of null hypothesis (H0) proposed by the researcher are accepted and the alternative hypothesis (H1) is rejected. It means that is no distinction in multiplication learning result of grade 2nd elementary school students who use the Jarimatika method in online learning even though there is improvement in students’ scores.

Abstract

The background of this research was made after the arrival of the covid-19 virus outbreak which caused changes in the learning system. Interest has a great meaning in learning activities because interest has a very large role in supporting success. Someone will be successful when interested in something that is being studied and will automatically show their activeness in participating in learning. Therefore, it is important to find out around the categorization of students' interest in learning, especially in learning mathematics. This study uses a quantitative style with a quantitative descriptive method. The sample in this study was the fourth-grade elementary school students totaling 40 people. The descriptive method consists of describing students' interest in learning mathematics in the current online learning situation. The instrument used by researchers in collecting data is in the form of questionnaires and interviews. The study revealed that the online learning process was carried out using the WhatsApp application media. The use of WhatsApp is used to adjust the ability of teachers and school policy agreements. The learning process takes place quite effectively and is easy to reach by teachers, students, and parents. Then it is seen that the interest in learning mathematics in online learning is very diverse. There is very high interest in learning as many as 16 students (40%), quite high interest in learning as many as 18 (45%) students, high interest in learning as many as 5 (12.5%) and those who have a very low interest are 4 students (2,5%).

Abstract

The operation of multiplication counting is one of the difficult calculation operations, especially when students were working on calculating the operation of more than two or more numbers. In completing this issue, there were constraints in which because students have not memorized multiplication of 1 to 10. A technical error on working on the multiplication operation with conventional methods (stacking) students use that has been learned while sitting in grade of III. It can be done by providing new methods that can facilitate students in working with the math problem. There are many alternative methods to overcome students' difficulties. One of them is a Lattice method, a multiplication method that uses a grid to multiply two multi-digit numbers, and can reduce the level of difficulty and error. The purpose of this study was to provide an overview the influence from the use the Lattice method for calculating multiplication operations to reduce students' difficulties in solving problems. The study used a qualitative non-interactive research approach. The method used in this researcher was a literature study that collects several previous journals and researches to answer the influence of the use of the Lattice method of calculating multiplication operations against reducing students' difficulties in resolving the problems. In this study there were 14 literature studied from several journals and previous research. The results of the study there was an influence of the Lattice method of improving the learning results of mathematics, and can reduce the hardship of students in solving the trouble.

Abstract

The State Elementary School (SD) of 2 Lontar is the closest school to the UPI Marine Station, Serang Campus, which is located in Lontar, Tirtayasa District, Serang Regency. Based on interviews with classroom teachers there, most said that mathematics is the most difficult subject to teach, especially in the form of story questions. Many students are fooled and wrong in answering the question form. Especially during a pandemic like now which presents its challenges for teachers there, both in terms of material delivery, media selection, and assessment. On the other hand, mathematical literacy (numerical literacy) is a criterion that is used as an assessment in the Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM).  Referring to this, researchers will conduct community service with the target of SDN Lontar 2 teachers as an effort to improve the quality of learning, especially mathematics lessons with situational-based learning. The steps that the researcher will take are needs analysis and literature study followed by strategy formulation, implementation, direct practice, evaluation, and follow-up. The strategies compiled will be related to language skills which are a means of communication between teachers and students. The result of this empowerment is planting to identify problems and problem-solving strategies for elementary school children. The follow-up program invites teachers to continuously improve and implement situational-based learning. Teachers' understanding of the application of communicatively oriented mathematics learning methods has proven to increase after the training and the results of monitoring the implementation have also been observed

Abstract

Peran aktif orangtua dalam pendidikan anak memberikan dampak yang positif bagi anak, meliputi peningkatan prestasi anak, penurunan jumlah absen anak, perkembangan emosi dan komunikasi yang lebih baik, serta berkembangnya kemampuan beradaptasi anak menjadi lebih baik. Namun, di beberapa taman kanak-kanak Kota Serang, keterlibatan orangtua dalam pendidikan anak di sekolah masih sangat minim dikarenakan oleh berbagai faktor, salah satunya yakni miskomunikasi yang disebabkan oleh asumsi bahwa “guru adalah orangtua anak di sekolah”. Dikarenakan asumsi tersebut, banyak orangtua dan juga guru yang merasa bahwa pendidikan anak di sekolah adalah sepenuhnya tanggung jawab guru dan orangtua pun menjadi enggan ikut campur. Untuk meluruskan miskomunikasi tersebut guru perlu memiliki keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal yang baik agar dapat melakukan komunikasi secara efektif dengan orangtua, sehingga pesan terkait pentingnya kemampuan komunikasi dapat sampai pada dan dipahami oleh seluruh orangtua siswa. Luaran utama yang diharapkan dari program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah terlaksananya kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang berbasis kepakaran bidang ilmu pendidikan, selain itu kegiatan ini juga diharapkan dapat menghasilkan : (1) Rumusan program lokakarya peningkatan komunikasi Guru SD Labschool; (2) Panduan pelaksanaan program lokakarya peningkatan komunikasi Guru SD Labschool UPI Serang; serta (3) Publikasi tulisan ilmiah terkait, berupa artikel atau paper di proceeding konferensi pada tingkatan nasional.
