Abstract

Salah satu upaya peningkatan bawang merah (Allium ascalonicum L.) dengan melakukan pemotongan. fungsi dari pemotongan adalah mempercepat pertumbuhan tunas dan tergantung kondisi lingkungan disekitar dan fungsi dari perendaman ZPT ekstrak tauge adalah mempercepat pembelahan sel karena mengandung auksin. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh pemotongan umbi bibit dan perendaman ZPT ekstrak tauge terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang merah varietas biru lancor. Penelitian dilaksanakan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK), dua pelakuan yang disusun secara faktorial dengan tiga ulangan. Perlakuan pertama adalah pemotongan umbi bibit pelakuan kedua perendaman ZPT ekstrak tauge. Dilaksanakan di dusun berrek, deasa mojolegi, kec. gading, kab. Probolinggo. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan pemotongan umbi bibit berpengaruh nyata pada parameter tinggi tanaman umur 28 dan 49 hst, berat kering pertanaman dan berpengaruh sangat nyata pada parameter tinggi tanaman umur 14, 21, 35 dan 42 hst. Perlakuan perendaman ZPT ekstrak tauge berpengaruh nyata pada parameter tinggi tanaman umur 35 dan 42 hst, jumlah daun umur 49 hst dan berpengaruh sangat nyata pada parameter tinggi tanaman umur 21 hst, panjang akar, berat basah pertanaman, berat basah perplot, berat kering pertanaman. Perlakuan interaksi berpengaruh nyata pada parameter jumlah daun umur 49 hst, berat kering pertanaman dan berpengaruh sangat nyata pada parameter tinggi tanaman umur 21, 35, 42 dan 49 hst, panjang akar. Temuan ini menunjukan bahwa perendaman ZPT ektrak tauge dapat menjadi alternatif ramah lingkungan untuk meningkatkan hasil tanaman bawang merah.

Abstract

This study aims to conduct a systematic and comprehensive literature review on the applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning in vertical farming, focusing on technology optimization, economic aspects, and environmental sustainability. The method used is a systematic literature review (SLR) of open-access academic publications from reputable international databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar, with a publication timeframe spanning the last five years (2018-2023). The review results indicate that the most widely applied soilless cultivation technologies are hydroponics, aeroponics, and aquaponics, with aeroponics demonstrating the highest water use efficiency. The integration of IoT, smart sensors, and AI can increase crop productivity; however, the carbon footprint of these systems is highly dependent on the energy source used. The main barriers to adoption are high initial investment and operational energy costs. This article contributes to updating and expanding the understanding of the applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning in vertical farming, as well as identifying research gaps and proposing directions for technology and policy development oriented towards sustainability and profitability

Abstract

Plastic recycling industries generate wastewater with complex characteristics requiring effective treatment systems to meet environmental quality standards. This study aimed to evaluate the performance of Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) at plastic recycling facilities (PRF) through analysis of wastewater physicochemical parameters. Sampling was conducted at four sampling points: pump it (PI), floating clarifier 1 (FC1), floating clarifier 2 (FC2), and floating clarifier 3 (FC3) under two different operational conditions. The physicochemical parameters measured included COD, TSS, temperature, turbidity, TOC, and pH. The investigated WWTP consisted of three main units: tube flocculator, electrocoagulation (EC), and moving bed biofilm reactor (MBBR). Results showed that tube flocculator had the best performance with removal efficiency of TSS 94.7%, turbidity 97.3%, and COD 82.4%, while successfully neutralizing pH from 11.84 to 7.24. EC unit showed variable performance between operational and non-operational conditions, with BOD removal efficiency of 42.9% and turbidity 40.9% under operational conditions. MBBR with HRT 14.5 hours showed BOD removal efficiency of 41.7% and COD 13.8%. However, the final effluent quality did not meet the standards set in Minister of Environment Regulation No.5 of 2014, particularly for BOD and COD parameters which still exceeded the permitted limits. This study provides comprehensive evaluation of WWTP performance in plastic recycling facilities and identifies the need for further optimization to improve wastewater treatment effectiveness.
