Abstract

Instilling discipline in schools is a strategic effort to reduce juvenile delinquency. Discipline as a character value needs to be instilled through various aspects, including punctuality, adherence to rules, accuracy in submitting assignments, and the use of good written language. However, in practice, students are still found to lack discipline, indicating that the school's role is not yet fully optimized. This study aims to describe the school's role in instilling discipline in students and identify the inhibiting factors faced at SMA Negeri 2 Bayung Lencir. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a purposive sampling technique. Informants consisted of the Vice Principal for Curriculum and the Pancasila Education teacher as the main informants, as well as several students selected according to the research needs. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the school's role in instilling discipline to reduce juvenile delinquency at SMA Negeri 2 Bayung Lencir has been implemented, but not optimally. The school has made various efforts through socialization of discipline, teacher supervision, sanctions, and integration of discipline values ​​in learning.  In conclusion, the role of schools in instilling discipline is not yet fully optimal, as the values ​​instilled through regulations, teacher role models, and supervision are not fully reflected in student behavior. Therefore, discipline still needs to be strengthened to foster an orderly school culture and contribute to reducing juvenile delinquency.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keputusan Presiden dalam pemberian amnesti Hasto Kristiyanto tentang apakah mahasiswa PPKn 2023 FKIP Universitas Jambi melek akan kejadian hukum yang terjadi di tanah air. Penelitian ini bertujuan ingin mengetahui perspektif  mahasiswa mengenai supremasi hukum di Indonesia: studi kasus amnesti Hasto Kristiyanto. Tempat dilakukannya penelitian oleh penulis yaitu di Program Studi Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan Universitas Jambi. Adapun yang menjadi informan dalam penelitian ini yaitu dosen Prodi PPKn, BPH Imadipwakra bidang riset dan teknologi  dan mahasiswa aktif Prodi PPKn angkatan 2023. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu pengumpulan data, penyajian data, reduksi data dan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini didapatkan sebagian besar informan dari mahasiswa PPKn  2023 melek akan kejadian hukum yang terjadi dan tidak setuju dengan keputusan tersebut. Kemudian ada beberapa dari mahasiswa PPKn yang mempunyai persepsi bahwa keputusan presiden dalam pemberian amnesti Hasto Kristiyanto tersebut seperti ada unsur politiknya. Faktor yang membuat mereka tidak setuju adalah karena dianggap keputusan tersebut seperti dipaksakan dengan komunikasi atau unsur politik. Penulis berharap kepada kepala negara adan lembaga legislatif (DPR) agar benar-benar menanamkan nilai-nilai bijaksana didalam setiap individunya dan semoga yang menjadi kepala negara adan lembaga legislatif (DPR) berikutnya memang benar-benar bersih dari hubungan lingkaran kekuasaan sehingga menjadi lembaga eksekutif lembaga yudikatif yang bersih dari intervensi.

Abstract

The curriculum change from the 2013 Curriculum to the Independent Curriculum is one of the government's efforts to improve the quality of education in Indonesia. This study aims to assess these changes in the learning practices of Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) at SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi. This curriculum change impacts the role of teachers, learning strategies, and student engagement in the learning process. This study used a qualitative approach with the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of PPKn teachers, the vice principal for curriculum, and students. Data analysis was conducted descriptively qualitatively through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that, from a contextual perspective, the implementation of the Independent Curriculum is in line with the needs of 21st-century learning. From an input perspective, teacher readiness and facilities still need to be improved. In terms of process, learning has become more flexible and student-focused, although there are still problems in developing open modules. Meanwhile, in terms of product, there has been an increase in student participation and critical thinking skills. Thus, the curriculum changes have a positive impact on PPKn learning, but there is still a need for improvement in its implementation.
