Abstract

This study aims to analyze the optimal design of whistleblowing programs, focusing on the effects of incentives and the dynamics of whistleblower engagement. Through a qualitative literature review, the research explores the impact of financial incentives on the effectiveness of whistleblowing programs and how factors such as organizational culture and management support influence whistleblowers' decisions. The findings show that while financial incentives are effective in encouraging reporting, excessive incentives can reduce the quality of the information provided. On the other hand, factors such as anonymity and protections for whistleblowers significantly increase their engagement. This study highlights the importance of a holistic approach that combines financial and non-financial incentives with strong protections for whistleblowers to ensure program effectiveness. Furthermore, policy implications suggest the need for continuous evaluation of whistleblowing programs to ensure they remain relevant and effective in detecting violations across different sectors. Although this study provides valuable insights, several limitations, including its focus on literature sourced from the United States and the absence of empirical data, affect the generalization of the findings. Therefore, further research is necessary to test these findings in various organizational contexts and environments.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of internal governance structures in enhancing intellectual capital efficiency in Islamic banking using the stakeholder theory approach. The method employed is a qualitative literature review by analyzing eight previous studies related to internal governance and intellectual capital. The results indicate that an effective internal governance structure, including the role of the Sharia Supervisory Board, accountability, transparency, and inclusive management, significantly enhances human capital, structural capital, and relational capital. Strong governance enables Islamic banking to improve competitiveness, operational efficiency, and sustainability. Additionally, investments in employee training, technology-driven Sharia innovations, and stakeholder relationship management are critical factors in optimizing intellectual capital. However, the limitations of this study include reliance on secondary data, a focus on specific regions, and a lack of quantitative analysis. This study contributes theoretically by emphasizing the importance of stakeholder-based governance in driving intellectual capital efficiency in Islamic banking.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Sharia law in natural resource management through a qualitative literature review, focusing on Sharia principles such as hifz al-nafs, hifz al-maal, and maslahah. The findings reveal that Sharia law provides a strong ethical framework for environmental management, emphasizing sustainability, ecosystem balance, and human religious responsibility toward nature. However, challenges in its implementation include a lack of public awareness and limited resources. The study recommends strengthening institutional capacity, community education, and stakeholder collaboration to support more sustainable natural resource management. With a comprehensive approach, Sharia law has the potential to serve as a model for environmental management that not only prioritizes worldly benefits but also spiritual harmony.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of bilateral political volatility on the investment decisions of multinational corporations (MNCs) through a qualitative literature review approach. The analysis reveals that instability in bilateral political relations significantly influences investment decisions, particularly through regulatory uncertainty, geopolitical risks, and disruptions in stakeholder relationships. Companies with strong political connections are better equipped to manage these risks compared to those without similar networks. Mitigation strategies such as geographical diversification and strategic partnerships are identified as key solutions for addressing geopolitical instability. While providing valuable strategic insights, this study is limited to specific geographical and sectoral contexts. These findings highlight the need for further research with broader geographical and sectoral scopes to support strategic decision-making by multinational corporations in increasingly dynamic geopolitical environments.

Abstract

This study examines the adoption of cloud computing in Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) with a focus on analyzing trends, theories, and factors influencing adoption during the period from 2011 to 2020. Using a systematic literature review approach, this research analyzes 76 articles published during this period, aiming to provide a deeper understanding of data analysis techniques, cloud computing services commonly studied, and key factors driving or hindering adoption. The findings reveal that the most frequently used analysis techniques are Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) and interpretative analysis. The most analyzed cloud computing service is Software as a Service (SaaS), while the primary factor driving adoption is cost savings. This study also identifies that the majority of studies are not based on clear theoretical frameworks, and research has been predominantly focused in the Asian region. The findings offer insights for future research on developing cloud computing implementation in SMEs, as well as factors to consider in accelerating the adoption of this technology among SMEs globally.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of self-leadership in improving students' independence and academic achievement in the campus environment. The method used is a literature study by analyzing various literature related to the concept of self-leadership, its development strategies, and its impact on academic and non-academic aspects. The results of the study indicate that self-leadership contributes positively to students' ability to manage time, set goals, increase motivation, and develop independent learning habits through techniques such as goal setting, self-reward, and positive self-talk. In addition, the development of self-leadership skills has been shown to be an important foundation in forming students' attitudes of responsibility, self-confidence, and resilience in dealing with academic pressure. These skills also have an impact on improving students' achievement and readiness to face future challenges. This study provides recommendations for educational institutions to systematically integrate self-leadership training into the curriculum to support the development of students' character, independence, and career readiness in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

This qualitative literature review investigates the phenomenon of recruitment deception within the framework of global labor exploitation. It explores the disconnect between existing policies designed to protect workers and the actual practices in recruitment processes across various industries and geographical regions. By analyzing a range of scholarly articles, reports, and case studies, the review identifies prevalent deceptive practices that exploit vulnerable populations, including migrant workers and those in precarious employment situations. The findings reveal significant gaps in the enforcement of protective legislation and highlight the emotional and psychological impacts of deception on affected individuals. Furthermore, the review emphasizes the necessity for collaborative efforts among stakeholders—including governments, non-governmental organizations, and community groups—to create effective interventions that address these injustices. Ultimately, the study calls for a more inclusive policy-making process that incorporates the experiences of survivors, aiming to develop comprehensive strategies to combat recruitment deception and enhance labor market equity.

Abstract

This qualitative literature review titled "The Power of Sequence: A Qualitative Analysis of Consumer Targeting and Spillover Effects in Social Media Advertising" investigates the strategic interplay between consumer targeting, the sequencing of advertisements, and the resultant spillover effects within social media marketing. As social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter continue to evolve as vital advertising channels, understanding how to optimize consumer engagement through targeted strategies is essential for brands aiming to maximize their advertising returns. This review synthesizes existing literature on consumer behavior, advertisement sequencing, and information diffusion to establish a comprehensive framework for enhancing the effectiveness of social media campaigns. Findings indicate that strategic sequencing of advertisements can significantly enhance click-through rates and conversions by leveraging positive spillover effects. Moreover, the review identifies best practices for targeting specific demographic groups and suggests that an optimal sequence can lead to substantial budget savings in advertising expenditures. This study contributes valuable insights for marketers seeking to refine their social media advertising strategies and improve overall campaign performance, paving the way for future research in this rapidly evolving field.
