Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play an important role in supporting regional economic development, including in the hospitality service sector. However, in practice, hospitality MSMEs still face various challenges in operational and financial management. This paper presents the results of a community service activity based on Interprofessional Education (IPE), which aims to identify existing problems and provide mentoring support to Hotel Boegenville Syariah Lamongan in order to enhance its business competitiveness. The identified problems include the use of a manual financial recording system, the absence of written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and unstructured employee workload and work scheduling. The implementation methods consisted of observation, interviews, training, and direct mentoring for the partner. The results indicate improvements in the organization of financial records through the adoption of a spreadsheet-based system, the development of SOPs as operational guidelines, and increased partner understanding in managing task distribution and employee working hours. This community service activity is expected to contribute to the sustainable improvement of operational and financial governance in hospitality MSMEs.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze human resource management (HRM) strategies, based on a SWOT analysis, to improve employee performance at CV Cendana, an LPG distribution company. A qualitative approach, using interviews and direct observation, was employed to explore the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats that affect the effectiveness of HR strategies. The results showed that employee loyalty, harmonious work culture, and flexible organizational structure are the company's main strengths. However, there are still weaknesses such as the absence of a structured training system and undocumented performance evaluations. External opportunities in the form of advances in digital training technology and government support can be utilized to improve training and HR development strategies. Abstract

Purpose: This study examines the impact of Human Resource Management (HRM) practices on operational performance at Ginta Cargo Lombok, identifying key HRM dimensions that contribute to operational effectiveness in a regional logistics firm. Research Methodology: A quantitative causal survey design was applied to 84 active employees. Data were collected using structured Likert-scale questionnaires and secondary operational records. Multiple linear regression was employed to test the effects of recruitment and selection, training and development, reward systems, and internal communication on operational performance. Results: The results show that HRM practices significantly influence operational performance, explaining 58% of the variance. Training and development had the strongest positive effect, followed by reward systems. Recruitment and selection, and internal communication, although significant, had moderate effects on performance. Conclusions: Integrated HRM practices aligned with performance goals are essential for improving efficiency, accuracy, and service speed in regional logistics firms. Effective HRM practices enable employees to contribute to the company’s operational success. Limitations: This study is limited to a single branch and relies on self-reported data, which may introduce bias. The sample size is relatively small, and the findings may not fully generalize to other locations or logistics firms. Contributions: This study provides empirical evidence on the significance of integrated HRM practices in enhancing operational performance within the logistics industry. It highlights how HRM practices, when strategically aligned, play a crucial role in boosting the performance of regional logistics firms.
