Abstract

Control Objective for Information Related Technology (COBIT 4.0 and 4.1) is one of Indonesia's most popular information technology audit frameworks. This article compares the maturity level of implementing information systems in Indonesia, especially government agencies, educational institutions, health institutions, and companies. The method used is a literature study of the research results from 2015-to 2020 related to COBIT 4.0 and COBIT 4.1. This study's results indicate that the conceptual framework of COBIT 4.1 is more dominant than COBIT 4.0. The Plan and Organize (PO) domain and the Delivery and Support (DS) domain are mainly used to focus studies on government agencies and companies. Meanwhile, the maturity level is dominated by the repeatable but intuitive (level 2) and defined process (level 3), which can be repeated and defined. Thus, studies on information system audit using the COBIT 4.0 and 4.1 conceptual frameworks need to be improved in education and health agencies or other agencies that integrate business processes with information technology.

Abstract

This study analyzes digital narratives surrounding Wamena's cultural heritage using the Digital Content Reviews and Analysis Framework, focusing on sentiment, toxicity, and thematic content. The research explores the complex interplay between community perspectives, cultural preservation, modernization, and external influences such as tourism. Toxicity analysis revealed that while most online discourse is supportive, there are instances of harmful language that could disrupt social cohesion, with toxicity scores peaking at 0.50790. These findings highlight the need for continuous moderation to foster a positive digital environment. Sentiment analysis provided a deeper understanding of emotional tones, showing a predominance of positive sentiments and highlighting frustration and dissent related to cultural erosion. The study employed machine learning algorithms for sentiment and toxicity classification, with the Support Vector Machine (SVM) enhanced by Synthetic Minority Over-sampling Technique (SMOTE) demonstrating superior accuracy at 87.29%. Content analysis identified vital themes such as community dynamics, cultural resilience, and the dual impact of tourism as both an economic catalyst and a potential threat to cultural integrity. The findings underscore the importance of maintaining an inclusive digital environment that promotes constructive dialogue and cultural preservation. This framework provides valuable insights for policymakers and community leaders, emphasizing the need for culturally sensitive strategies to manage digital content and support sustainable cultural tourism. Future research should expand this framework to other contexts to enhance the understanding of digital communication dynamics in diverse cultural settings.

Abstract

This research explores the development of a prototype for the Sangiran Information System, utilizing the Rapid Application Development (RAD) framework to meet the specific needs of researchers, destination managers, and tourists. The study emphasizes the importance of user-centric design, facilitated by iterative refinement, which ensures the system effectively supports data management and access related to the Sangiran heritage site. The coding results from content analysis were instrumental in shaping the system, particularly in digital technology integration, educational roles, museum management, and tourism impact. Despite these advancements, the research identifies a critical limitation: the lack of integration with the museum's internal systems and databases. This gap highlights the necessity for further development to achieve a more cohesive and comprehensive information system. The findings underscore the significant progress made in enhancing the educational and management functions of the Sangiran site while also pointing to the need for ongoing improvements to fully support heritage preservation and tourism objectives.

Abstract

The research in this journal aims to identify various factors that influence the lack of teacher discipline at SMP Negeri Walelagama. Based on a qualitative approach with a case study strategy. The results show that there are two vital factors affecting teacher discipline: internal and external factors. Internal factors include a lack of awareness of professional responsibilities and low teacher motivation. External factors include limited infrastructure, such as inadequate teacher housing, unfavorable security conditions, and minimal access to health services. Lack of assertiveness in rule enforcement also contributes to low teacher discipline. These findings suggest that improving discipline requires a holistic approach, including the provision of basic facilities and training programs that can increase teacher motivation. Thus, improving teacher discipline can lead to a more optimal learning environment.
