Abstract

The study was conducted to examine the influence of organizational culture and entrepreneurial leadership toward employees’ motivation and its impact on the improvement of organizational performance. The research was held at PT Industri Kereta Api (INKA) Jl. Yos Sudarso No. 71 Madiun. The sample was determined by census. The population is 81 persons. The primary data were obtained through questionnaires, while the secondary data were taken from the official documents of the organization and some relevant literature that supports the primary data.  This  study  made  use  of  survey.  To get the  sample,  the  main  data collection  tool, questionnaire, was applied. Due to its analysis, the study is classified as an explanatory research. The method of analysis applied includes path analysis, t-test, test coefficient of determination accompanied by classical assumption testing. The result of the data analysis showed that (1) organizational culture had positive and significant impact on entrepreneurial leadership, (2) organizational culture had positive and significant impact on employees’ motivation, (3) entrepreneurial leadership had a direct positive and significant impact on employees’ motivation, (4) organizational culture had a direct positive and significant effect on organizational performance, (5) entrepreneurial leadership had a direct positive and significant effect on organizational performance, and (6) employees’ motivation had a direct positive and significant impact on organizational performance.

Abstract

The objective of the research was to figure out the impact of interpersonal communication relationship on the student acievement motivation with the self-concept as the mediating variable. This research examined the direct effect of self-concept on the student achievement motivation, the direct effect of interpersonal communication on the student achievement motivation, and the indirect effect of interpersonal communication on the student achievement motivation. The object of the research was the 3rd semester students of Business Administration study program, State Polytechnic of Madiun in 2015. The data of the research were based on the number of population. The data used were primary and secondary data. The data were analized using multiple regression with SPSS. This research indicated that the interpersonal communication had direct effect on the self-concept. This self-concept directly affected the student achievement motivation. The result of this research also indicated that the interpersonal communication only indirectly affected the student achievement motivation through the self-concept.

Abstract

Tenders can mean auction or a system of buying and selling conducted by a party by inviting vendors (sellers or providers) to present the prices and quality needed. The best price and quality will be the winners. Auctions or tender systems are very popular, especially by companies, given the nominal amount and duration of contracts in an auction is very large and varied. This study aims to determine the tender procedures for procurement of railroad by PT KAI (Persero) from PT INKA (Persero), especially for post-qualification public tenders, as well as the documents required in the process. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods that are sourced from primary data, namely by conducting interviews, observations, and documentation of research objects and secondary data by conducting a study of relevant library materials. With the Triangulation Method the results of the research show that PT INKA (Persero) has carried out the tender procedure for the post-qualification of railroad procurement in accordance with applicable regulations and SOPs, even though the clarification stage is conducted simultaneously with the aanwinzjing stage; the stage of submitting, opening and evaluating documents is carried out at one time; and the refutation stage is not carried out if it has been determined as the winner of the tender.

Abstract

As one of the clearest markers of many outward appearance markers, clothing is a distinctive individual and group identity. Therefore, even though being worn in a single organization, the symbol of uniform can have its own identity and tradition. Fashion and clothing are ways that individuals use to determine themselves as individuals and express some of their uniqueness. As a form of individualistic expression, there are values in fashion that are promoted or communicated through what is displayed. Relating this concept to dress policies for students of the Madiun State Polytechnic Business Administration Study Program on certain days. In terms of context, the evaluation results using the CIPP evaluation model (context, input, process, product) shows that, the implementation of this policy supports a character that is more disciplined, obedient and orderly in regulations, creates authority through habituation and can reduce economic inequality and establish a sense of belonging towards the Study Program institutions and a sense of unity, as an identity or differentiation with other Study Program students. With regard to input, although there are various reactions to the implementation of the policy, there is no direct rejection. From the prospective of process, the means used are announcements posted on the Announcement Board of the Department and policy writing in the Guidebook. Whereas in terms of product, the changes that occur after students wear uniforms are to be more orderly, more disciplined, more controlled in acting, as well as feeling more authoritative, and can be emulated

Abstract

Business administration simulation course where students do role playing in groups consisting of 3-4 students who have different roles. The roles range from manager, secretary, finance and marketing. At the beginning of this course, students make a selection to compete for the position of company secretary and manager position. After selecting one company secretary who will later lead the simulation, 7 managers were also selected. of these seven managers must create a company that is mutually integrated both in the field of services and trade. Based on these data, it can be concluded that the problems faced by the class are related to teamwork, therefore, an appropriate method is needed to handle them so that the simulation process can run well and get the expected results. without teamwork and good relations within the group it is impossible to achieve this goal because all the work and assignments in this course require the roles of group members. The method offered in this study is the outbound learning method. Outbound is an open nature-based learning method in creative and attractive ways, so that learning becomes a comfortable and very enjoyable activity. The purpose of this outbound is to practice recognition and build confidence in learning, communicating with other individuals and teamwork. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant increase in each indicator of student teamwork between before and after outbound learning is applied.

Abstract

The strategy used by the Gandu Roast Chicken business actors in building consumer perception is done by forming positive quality perceptions through the attributes of roasted chicken products, especially in terms of quality, features, price, and service excellence. The excellence of the products and services presented has made consumers satisfied and finally shared their experiences with others. The occurrence of oral, written, and electronic communication through WOM (word of mouth) and E-WOM (electronic word-of-mouth) between communities encourages the formation of brand identity and gives rise to brand image, positive perceptions in the minds of consumers related to Chicken Roasted Gandu. Whether we realize it or not, consumers who are satisfied with the quality of products and services have promoted it, recommending it to others around them. Information about excellence that is spread through E-WOM obtained from others has a strong influence. Recommendations from other consumers are more reliable, because they are independent, non-commercial, honest, and have no relationship with business actors. Besides that, the range of its spread is also very wide, because it takes place on social networking sites of the internet and social media that have no geographical restrictions, time or social ties, so before deciding to buy a product, consumers can get many opportunities to exchange information easily and effectively. Utilization of E-WOM can increase sales significantly in a relatively fast time

Abstract

The concept of the family has been established in Indonesian economic theory ever since the republic's declaration. There is controversy over how the family principle should be employed as the foundation of the Indonesian economy, though the notion is still not comprehended. Thus, the aim of this research is to describe in what way the family principle in Indonesia’s Economy has been regarded and understood in order to avoid misconception or multi-interpretations to comprehend it. Qualitative approach which is based on literary studies is used in this research. This approach considers being appropriate for studies in the environment of economic theory since researchers attempt to comprehend the understanding and thoughts of significant figures in the Indonesia economy. The findings show that there are two critical and similarly important elements of the family principle to comprehensively understand the concept namely cooperation and competition. The research suggests that both concepts had been integrated into the family principle as competition, while all economic institutions recognized by the constitution concurrently compete and cooperate.

Abstract

This study examines and explains the relationship of variables that become income factors from the application of marketing concepts, namely experiential marketing, E-WOM, Brand Trus, which then form brand loyalty. The object of this research is a hotel in Malang. The data was obtained by distributing online questionnaires to 160 people. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using the Partial Leasr Square (PLS) analysis tool with SmartPLS software. The results of this study indicate that; first, experiential marketing has a significant positive effect on brand trust, the second experiential marketing has a significant positive effect on brand trust, the third experiential marketing has a significant positive effect on brand loyalty, the fourth E-WOM has a significant positive effect on brand loyalty and fifth, brand trust has a significant positive effect on brand loyalty

Abstract

Every bank tries to offer the best choices and facilities attracting customers due to the emergence of new competitors operating in the same field; with this, the bank is certainly trying to maintain its image well. The image of a bank is important for a company because it maintains its customers so that they remain loyal, and even non-customers can be attracted to the bank and not switch to existing competitors. This research aims to determine the role of the image of the Bank Muamalat Madiun Branch Office in forming customer loyalty. The research method used is a quantitative method using a questionnaire as a data collection instrument. The sample in this study used 30 respondents with purposive sampling data collection techniques. The primary data used is a questionnaire, and secondary data is obtained through documents such as books and articles. The research results show that there is a role or influence on the image of Bank Muamalat Madiun Branch Office in forming customer loyalty, as proven by the results of hypothesis test calculations (t-test). It can be seen that the significance value obtained is 0.000

Abstract

Archives are records of activities presented in various forms of media and used as information materials that have utility value for an organization or agency and are stored in such a way that if needed at any time they can be easily and quickly found again. Given the importance of records, every organization or agency needs to have a Records Division to manage them. One of the activities carried out in records management is disposition. Records disposition is the activity of separating active records from inactive records and removing useless records based on the records retention schedule. This study was conducted to find out the stages of implementing records disposition in Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Kota Madiun. The method used is descriptive qualitative. Based on the study results, it was concluded that records disposition has included three stages, namely transfer, destruction, and submission.
