Abstract

Padang restaurants are synonymous with providing halal food. Padang Restaurant's rejection of selling pork rendang is a strong background for this research. Padang customs are based on ABS-SBK (Basandi Syara-Syara Basandi Kitabullah Adat). This study aims to describe and analyze the response of the Minang community to a Padang restaurant that sells pork rendang. This research uses mixed methods. Quantitative techniques to collect primary data through questionnaires, and qualitative-descriptive techniques to collect secondary data and its analysis. Secondary data comes from news stories, journals, and scientific research results. Respondents' answers about the identity and opinions of Padang Restaurants that sell non-halal products are arranged in the form of a Likert scale. Respondents were Minang people totaling 75 people. Respondents strongly disagreed that a Padang Restaurant sells pork rendang, even though the Padang Restaurant includes information on the non-halal product. The reason for refusing the sale of rendang using pork, aside from being identical to Minang, which has the ABS-SBK principle, is also due to the use of Minang attributes. The Minang people still hold tightly to their customs which make Islamic teachings part of their values, including in terms of food. The researcher suggests conducting research related to the need for regulation on the inclusion of the Padang Restaurant label which is synonymous with halal food products.

Abstract

Abstract

This study explores the phenomenon of repeated Hajj through the perspective of maqāṣid al-sharīʻah (the objectives of Islamic law), focusing on its social, economic, and spiritual implications. Employing a juridical approach enriched with maqāṣid analysis, the research examines Islamic legal texts, government regulations, and empirical data concerning the implementation of Hajj in Indonesia. The findings categorize repeated Hajj as makruh litanzih (discouraged) due to its adverse effects, such as extended waiting times, economic inefficiencies, and heightened health risks for elderly pilgrims. Notably, over 60% of Indonesian Hajj pilgrims are above 60 years old, with waiting periods spanning 20 to 40 years in some regions. This study advocates redirecting financial resources toward supporting others' Hajj, a practice more aligned with maqāṣid principles by prioritizing public welfare (maslahah). It underscores the need for stricter regulations, greater public awareness of contextual Hajj laws, and the application of taisīr fiqh (facilitative jurisprudence) to encourage balanced worship practices. Practical recommendations include prioritizing first-time pilgrims, implementing health screenings, and fostering a collective understanding of maqāṣid-based priorities. By integrating maqāṣid principles, this research contributes to contemporary Islamic legal discourse, offering a framework for reforming Hajj policies in Indonesia. The proposed approach aims to create a more equitable, sustainable, and socially responsible pilgrimage system, aligned with the higher objectives of Islamic law.

Abstract

This service is based on the urgent need to address the decline in the number of young farmers in Indonesia, which if left unchecked could threaten national food security. This study aims to explore more deeply the potential of Islamic boarding schools in forming agropreneur generations. By using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method which includes five cycles: knowing, understanding, planning, acting, and changing, this study successfully mapped the potential of Islamic boarding schools. After understanding the potential, an agropreneur education and training program for vegetable and fruit cultivation was implemented. The researchers collaborated with the Wonogiri Agriculture Service as a partner in this study. The subjects of the study included stakeholders of Muhammadiyah Green School Wonogiri, including leaders, religious teachers (Asatiz), and students (Santri). The results of the study showed that the school has the potential for human resources in the form of motivated Santri and Asatiz, as well as natural resources in the form of unused agricultural land. The Agropreneur Training Program succeeded in fostering motivation among the Santri to be involved in the entire agricultural process, from planting to harvesting, as evidenced by their active participation. Cognitively, both Santri and Asatiz understand the process of planting, plant care, harvesting, and processing the results. The benefit for Islamic boarding schools is that some of their food needs can be met through the empowerment of these agropreneur students.

Abstract

Standard contracts in sharia insurance products must be adjusted to the fatwa of the Sharia Council of the Indonesian Ulema Council (DSN-MUI). The fatwa becomes a reference for determining the condition of insurance institutions in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the insurance contract on the Mitra Iqra Plus product at AJB Bumiputera 1912, the Surakarta Sharia Branch office against the conformity of sharia principles based on the DSN-MUI Fatwa. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach and juridical-normative analysis. The findings of interview, observation, and documentation data show that the standard contract applied in the policy is in accordance with sharia principles. Explanation of the flow and process of the contract is conveyed in a sales aid designed to maintain the principle of transparency. The policy analysis shows that there are articles related to the understanding between the parties regarding the three contracts. First, the tabarru 'contract is used to pay members' claims. Second, the mudharabah contract is used for managing investment funds. Third, the wakalah bil ujrah-muqayyadah contract is used for the power of management of the entire fund by the insurance company. The principle of taradhin (willingness) is carried out by giving a tempo to understand the policy before signing it. In conclusion, it is necessary to specifically mention the terms of the mudharabah musytarakah contract in the policy. The basis for the provisions is fatwa Number 51 / DSN-MUI / III / 2006 which regulates the management of investment funds, as a form of clarity that the investment capital that is managed comes from funds owned by the company and owned by members.

Abstract

Community-based tourism has emerged as a key strategy for enhancing the economic welfare of local communities, particularly in Komodo Village, which is evolving into a prominent tourist destination. This study aims to analyze the optimization of tourism management in Komodo Village and its role in increasing the income of local MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) by evaluating the integration of Islamic business ethics into local economic practices. A qualitative approach was employed, including in-depth interviews with MSME actors, tourism managers, and tourists, along with direct observations of the economic dynamics in Komodo Village. Tourism in Komodo Village has significantly contributed to the growth of MSMEs and diversification of local livelihoods. However, challenges such as limited infrastructure, fluctuations in tourist numbers, and business practices not fully adhering to Islamic principles of justice were identified. Despite these issues, there is a growing awareness among the community about the importance of integrating Islamic values into business practices. The findings suggest that halal tourism and the Islamic economy offer a more inclusive and sustainable model for tourism development. There is a need for more integrated policies in halal tourism management and strategies aimed at strengthening MSMEs to enhance the economic competitiveness of the local community.

The method used is qualitative with primary data from interviews with tourism managers and site observations. Secondary data uses documentation of releases on internet media. As a result, the manager of Sariater responds to the dynamism of fiqh owned by tourists by making policies that lead to the concept of halal tourism. There are three actions that researchers get; first, maintaining cleanliness and preserving trees around tourist attractions, reflecting hifzu al-bi’ah; second, providing special facilities for women (Women Only), demonstrating hifzu al-din; third, monitoring water temperature and mineral content to ensure compliance with hifzu al-nafs. The author recommends that additional facilities be provided in the future, such as halal-certified food and beverages, as well as sharia-compliant massage services, to enhance the overall halal tourism experience and attract more Muslim and non-Muslim tourists

Abstract

MUI Fatwa Number 24 of 2017 contains The Laws and Guidelines for Doing Muamalah Through Social Media. The MUI Fatwa can be applied to social networking ethics (netiquette). The millennial generation has excellent power in countering hoax narratives. The research purpose was to determine netiquette of the millennial generation in doing muamalah and warding off hoax in social media based on MUI Fatwa. The design of this study is qualitative research using an online qualitative survey. Netiquette as a guideline based on the MUI Fatwa focuses on discussing guidelines for doing muamalah on social media and creating and disseminating related content/information in countering hoaxes by the millennial generation from the four existing guidelines. Millennial's netiquette in doing muamalah on social media should be done properly and correctly, not violating the Shari'a and regulations (MUI Fatwa and others), and responding well to each other's content. The content shared is positive and not a hoax. Millennials sort out contents that will be disseminated on social media by studying, understanding, confirming, then following. The netiquette for millennials in warding off hoaxes is to ensure that the content is appropriately verified, helpful, not provocative and does not contain hoaxes, slander, backbiting, bullying, gossip, and other forbidden things. Millennials avoid spreading hoax content on social media by limiting accounts, avoiding and discontinuing, seeking truth from trusted sources, following the Indonesia Anti Hoax page, reporting harmful content through content complaints websites, or directly using the block and report features on social media. If this is not possible, they choose to remain silent, skip, and not share that hoax content.Â
