Parental and peer communication patterns play a crucial role in shaping early childhood social development. This study aims to analyze the forms of communication patterns between parents and peers and their influence on the social development of early childhood at TK Rinjani UNRAM. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with parents and teachers, and documentation. The data analysis technique used an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that democratic and open communication patterns between parents and children foster positive social behaviors such as cooperation, empathy, and self-confidence. Meanwhile, peer communication patterns that emphasize interaction, collaboration, and mutual respect significantly support children's social development. Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of learning motivation and parental involvement in improving the learning outcomes of third-grade students at SDN 2 Teruwai. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The research subjects consisted of 12 third-grade students selected using total sampling technique. Data on learning motivation and parental involvement were collected through questionnaires, while data on learning outcomes were obtained from student evaluation scores. Data analysis techniques included descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests consisting of normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and autocorrelation tests, as well as Pearson's correlation and multiple correlation tests using the SPSS program. The results of descriptive statistical analysis showed that student learning motivation, parental involvement, and learning outcomes were in the good category. The results of the normality test showed that all data were normally distributed, while the results of the multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and autocorrelation tests showed that the analysis model had met the classical assumptions. The results of the Pearson correlation test showed a strong and positive relationship between learning motivation and student learning outcomes as well as between parental involvement and student learning outcomes. Furthermore, the results of the multiple correlation test showed that learning motivation and parental involvement together had a very strong relationship with student learning outcomes, so it can be concluded that motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of students’ literacy skills on their learning outcomes in Indonesian language subjects among fifth- and sixth-grade students at SDN 9 Buwun Mas. Literacy is recognized as a fundamental 21st-century competence that encompasses not only reading and writing but also listening, speaking, analyzing, and critically interpreting information. National and international assessments such as PIRLS, INAP, and PISA consistently show that Indonesian students’ reading literacy remains below global expectations, indicating the need for strengthened literacy practices in schools. SDN 9 Buwun Mas has implemented daily 15-minute reading activities and weekly literacy programs; however, several challenges persist, including students’ boredom, limited book collections, and a lack of public awareness regarding the importance of literacy. These issues are reflected in students’ learning outcomes, which hover only slightly above the minimum competency standards. Using a quantitative correlational design, this study involved 26 students from grades V and VI as research participants. Data were collected through student questionnaires, worksheets, and interviews with classroom teachers. The findings are expected to identify students’ current literacy skills and analyze their influence on Indonesian language learning outcomes. Based on preliminary observations and supporting previous research, it is hypothesized that literacy skills have a positive and significant effect on learning outcomes. The results of this study are expected to provide insights for schools, teachers, and policymakers to improve literacy practices and enhance students’ academic achievement in Indonesian language learning.
