Abstract

In the rapidly evolving digital era, the demand for precious metals, especially gold, has significantly increased. Companies need to adopt modern technology to facilitate the ordering of precious metals effectively and efficiently. This study aims to design the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) of a precious metal ordering application using the Design Thinking method, which involves the stages of empathy, definition, ideation, prototyping, and testing. Starting with problem identification and interviews to understand user needs, this study produces user personas and user flows that assist in creating wireframes and mockups of the application. The prototype is tested through usability testing using the System Usability Scale (SUS) and Maze to measure user effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction. The results show that the designed application enhances user experience with an intuitive and easy-to-use interface, achieving a usability testing score of 85 on the SUS and a task success rate of 90% on Maze, indicating that the Design Thinking method is effective in designing the UI/UX of a precious metal ordering application.

Abstract

Along with the development of technology and all the conveniences offered, individual abilities, especially administrative capabilities, must be improved to increase competitiveness. Competitiveness here is competitiveness in the world of work that demands the ability to master administrative capabilities. Panti Asuhan Muhammadiyah Surabaya owns the problem. Lack of funds, facilities, and caregivers or volunteers who can help provide skills training. According to the Ministry of Social Affairs RI 2004, one of the functions of the Orphanage is as a center for skills development (which is a supporting function). Therefore, this educational activity is intended to provide insight for orphanage children in improving administrative capabilities. The purpose of this service program is to provide them with skills they will use in managerial activities in the world of work. This activity was attended by 16 participants offline. This activity aims to make foster children have skills in operating a number processing application (Microsoft Excel). This activity does not only focus on providing material but also on hands-on practice. From the results of the assessment, it was found that 14 children entered Microsoft Excel 2016 Intermediate Skills and 2 children entered Beginner Skills. This training is expected to improve the ability of foster children in administrative capabilities using Ms. Excel and can apply the knowledge they have gained in the world of work.

Abstract

Marketplace is one of the fastest growing digital innovations in the current technological era, which offers increased effectiveness and efficiency in product and service transactions. In the children's equipment and toy rental sector, it has the potential to help connect service providers and renters practically. However, the current rental process still faces several challenges, including manual procedures, lack of complete information, and low transaction efficiency, all of which hinder the rental experience and reduce user satisfaction. Therefore, it is important to design the UI/UX of a marketplace application that meets user needs and achieves a high level of usability. This study aims to design the UI/UX of the Kiddy Rent application, a marketplace specifically created for renting children's equipment and toys, using the User-Centered Design (UCD) approach to ensure that the final solution is tailored to user needs. The UCD stages applied include Understanding the Context of Use, Specifying User Requirements, Producing Design Solutions, and Evaluating Against Requirements. The resulting prototype was evaluated using two methods, namely Heuristic Evaluation and Usability Testing based on the ISO 9241-11 standard, by applying the System Usability Scale (SUS) to measure satisfaction. The evaluation results show that the application obtained a SUS score of 85.5, which is categorized as "Excellent", and entered the B grade with an acceptance level of "Acceptable". These findings indicate that the developed design not only meets user expectations but also has strong potential to provide an effective, efficient, and satisfying experience in the digital rental process.

Abstract

Seafood based culinary businesses face significant challenges in inventory management due to fluctuating and unpredictable customer demand. Inaccurate forecasting can lead to either excess stock, resulting in waste and increased storage costs, or stock shortages, which disrupt production and reduce customer satisfaction. Among the various raw materials used, crab is the most critical, accounting for 80.6% of total raw material demand, making it essential to forecast its demand accurately to maintain operational efficiency and avoid disruptions. This study addresses the inventory problem by applying two time series forecasting methods SARIMA and Prophet to predict weekly crab demand. The performance of both models was evaluated using RMSE and MAE to assess the accuracy and reliability of their predictions over time. The SARIMA model with parameters (2,1,10)(0,1,2)[12] achieved the best forecasting performance, with an RMSE of 1.32752 and MAE of 1.24207, clearly outperforming the Prophet model, which recorded an RMSE of 1.4623 and MAE of 1.3506. These results demonstrate that SARIMA is more effective in capturing seasonal patterns and demand trends in crab usage data. In conclusion, the SARIMA model offers more precise and reliable forecasts, making it a more suitable tool for supporting raw material inventory decision-making in seafood culinary businesses, particularly when dealing with high-demand ingredients such as crab.
