Abstract

            The use of saline land for rice cultivation needs to be supported by the presence of rice genotypes that are tolerant of saline land. To obtain a gene source that is tolerant of saline soils, it is necessary to select rice genotypes in the vegetative phase. This study aims to determine the tolerance of several local rice genotypes in Simeulue Regency to the level of salinity stress (NaCl) in the vegetative phase. The research design used was a 3 x 3 factorial randomized block design (RAK) with 3 replications. The first factor consisted of three levels, namely salinity level of 0 ppm/l (control), salinity level of 2500 ppm/l and 4000 ppm/l. The second factor consisted of three levels, namely the genotypes of Fakheulut aete, Sikurek and Mas rice. Parameters observed were plant height, number of tillers per clump, root length, number of roots, wet weight of roots and dry weight of rice roots.         The results showed that the level of salinity stress had a very significant effect on plant height, number of roots, root wet weight and root dry weight of plants aged 45 HST. Significantly affected the number of tillers and root length at 45 HST. No significant effect on plant height and number of tillers aged 15 and 30 HST. The local rice genotype of Simeulue Regency had a very significant effect on the height of rice plants aged 15, 30 and 45 HST, the number of tillers aged 15 HST, had a significant effect on root length and number of roots aged 45 HST, and had no significant effect on the number of tillers aged 30, 45 HST, root wet weight and root dry weight at 45 HST. There was no significant interaction between salinity stress level and genotype on plant height, number of tillers, root length, number of roots, root wet weight and root dry weight.Keywords : Salinity land, Salinity stress level, Local rice genotype, Vegetative                      Phase.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of dosage of manure and the number of seeds per planting hole on the growth and yield of organic rice crops and the real or not the interaction of these two factors. The experimental design to be used in this research is Split Plot 4 x 3, with 3 replications. Factor dose of manure (D) as main plot consist of 4 level, that is: 0 ton ha-1 (control), 5 ton ha-1, 10 ton ha-1 and 15 ton ha-1. Factor Number of Seedlings per Planting Hole (B) as subplot consists of 3 levels, namely: 1 Seeds per planting hole, 2 Seeds per planting hole and 3 Seeds per hole The study was conducted in Suka Makmue district, Nagan Raya District, Aceh Province. Starting from March to July 2016. The result of dose of manure has a very significant effect on the number of panicles, the effect is not significant on the length of panicle, the percentage of unhulled grain, the percentage of unhulled grain, the weight of 1000 grains, the weight of Grain Contains Per Rumpun and production per hectare. The number of seedlings on cultivation has a significant effect on the number of panicles, panicle length, percentage of unhulled grain, percentage of unhulled grain, weight of 1000 grains, the grain weight and production per hectare. Keywords : Organic Fertilizer, number of seeds per planting hole, rice production

Abstract

Produksi cabai dalam pelaksanaan budidayanya tidak selalu berjalan sesuai dengan yang diharapkan. Hal ini dapat dipengaruhi oleh tingkat produksi cabai belum optimal dan terkadang berbanding terbalik dengan luas lahan cabai yang ditanam sehingga produksi tidak terpenuhi. Salah satu penyebab rendahnya produksi yaitu masih banyaknya petani mengunakan bahan-bahan kimia dalam kegiatan budidayanya. Oleh karena itu perlu memanfaatan bahan organik yang aman, efektif pengaruhnya bagi tanaman, dan ada di sekitar kita, salah satunya limbah ikan. Secara umum limbah ikan mengandung banyak nutrien yaitu N, P dan K dan unsur mikro yang merupakan komponen penyusun pupuk organik. Tujuan kegiatan ini memperkenalkan sumber daya bahan alami lokal untuk pengelolaan budidaya pertanian yang ramah lingkungan serta pemanfaatn limbah yaitu pemanfaatan POC limbah ikan. Kegiatan ini akan dilakukan dengan metode pelatihan berupa pemaparan materi mengenai POC limbah ikan. Pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan di balai desa Lapang Kecamatan Johan pahlawan Kabupaten Aceh Barat. Pertemuan ini dihadiri oleh Kepala Desa, Sekretaris desa, petani cabai, dan Pengabdi, Petani yang hadir berjumlah 30 orang yang berjenis kelamin laki-laki dan perempuan. pembuatan POC limbah ikan disosialisasikan dengan baik kepada masyarakat petani cabai desa Lapang. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan dan pemahaman teknologi pengolahan limbah ikan menjadi pupuk organik cair dapat dikuasai oleh para petani cabai.
