Abstract

The learning model commonly used in the History of Economic Thought course is a conventional model. This model is considered less in accordance with the characteristics of Generation Z who tend to like modern methods. The research method or evaluation carried out in this study is using student self-assessment. In self-assessment, students evaluate the overall process of learning action or action on concepts through performance outcomes or products. The project-based learning model (PjBL) is based on a constructivist learning theory based on the idea that students acquire knowledge based on their own experience. To complement PjBL innovation, it is accompanied by an ability assessment, namely Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). Where HOTS requires students to build their own knowledge and apply knowledge so as to produce output that can be useful. The results of the study show that the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model with Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) innovation has a very positive influence on increasing students' critical thinking power and can trigger students' enthusiasm and activeness in the learning process.

Abstract

Jambi Province is a province on Sumatra Island with a land area of 5,016,005 hectares, of which 2,098,535 ha are forest areas. With the potential of existing resources, Jambi province's economic growth in the last ten years has been on a positive trend, but for the period 2006 to 2018, experienced significant land degradation which causes the shrinkage of the province natural forest areas. This research aims to analyze the relationship that occurs between variables of primary forest areas, income inequality, and economic growth in Jambi Province by using the vector autoregression method followed by stationarity test, optimum lag test, cointegration test, var stability test, variance decomposition, and granger causality test. Based on the causality of the three research variables, the Granger causality test results indicate that there is a unidirectional causality between income inequality that occurs in Jambi Province and the percentage of primary forest area in Jambi Province that is still available. In addition, the results of the VAR analysis show that based on the t-statistic value, income inequality in period eight significantly affected the percentage of primary forest area in Jambi Province in the following year. Besides that, based on the coefficient, income inequality negatively affected primary forest areas the following year in period eight. The results of the Decomposition Variant test predicted that in period 1, the primary forest area variable affected 99.98% of the primary forest area variable. Income inequality had an effect of 0.02% on primary forest areas, and economic growth in period one did not affect primary forest areas. Predictions for the 10th period show that the primary forest area affects 52.62% of the primary forest area, while 29.81% and 17.56% of the primary forest area in the 10th period are affected by income inequality and economic growth. The analysis above shows the critical role of primary forests in Jambi Province for the existing inequality and economic growth in Jambi Province. Deforestation and non-optimal primary forest management can have a negative impact on the value of income inequality in Jambi Province. Therefore, a policy framework on forestry in Jambi Province is needed that involves the development of plantation forests as an effort that could overcome the decrease in wood supply.

Abstract

The village of Tanjung Lanjut possesses abundant natural resources and scenic beauty that are yet to be fully explored by external visitors. These potential assets include Lake Tangkas, where hanging trees, putat leaves, and the local tradition of "makan merawang" are found. The cool natural ambiance and untouched environment make Lake Tangkas in Tanjung Lanjut a pleasant tourist destination. However, the community's empowerment in promoting the tourism potential of Lake Tangkas and harnessing the village's creative economy based on local wisdom has not been fully maximized. Although efforts by the Village-Owned Enterprises (Bumdes) have been made to enhance the local community's income, there remain untapped opportunities for creative economy initiatives rooted in local wisdom. This article aims to foster the development of Tanjung Lanjut's community in utilizing the village's creative economic potential while preserving its local wisdom, as well as supporting the growth of the Tanjung Lanjut Village-Owned Enterprise in expanding the existing businesses through creative economy approaches based on local wisdom.

Abstract

Tanjung Lanjut Village in Kecamatan Sekernan, Muaro Jambi Regency, has tourism potential, one of which is Tangkas Lake. The main attraction of this lake is Planchonia valida or, locally-known as putat tree, with its red flowers that bloom around July to August each year. The natural and cool atmosphere makes this lake a comfortable place to visit. Abstract

The Indonesian Central Government has granted local governments greater autonomy and authority in resource management, a process called decentralization. The impact of macroeconomic factors on regional autonomy in Jambi Province following fiscal decentralization explores how decentralization empowers local governments to optimize local income. The Financial Relations Law (UU HKPD) underscores the importance of local taxing Power for local administrations. Methodologically, this study utilizes panel data regression to investigate the influence of macroeconomic variables on regional autonomy. The qualitative analysis method is also employed to formulate policy strategies for enhancing local taxing Power. Results reveal some macroeconomic variables have a significant effect on regional autonomy. These are some recommendations to strengthen regional autonomy in Jambi Province, such as the identification of leading sectors regarding income tax, enhancement of supervision and law enforcement, taxpayer education, improvement of public service quality, the establishment of tax collection task forces, and innovation in tax administration.
