Abstract

It uses regression testing to validate the modification results so as not to cause new errors in features that are already functioning correctly. The implementation of regression testing is generally done by re-executing the test suite used in the previous test. One of the crucial issues in regression testing is determining a strategic approach to reuse existing test suites. Testing with retesting all test cases will result in a long and expensive test. Thus, it is necessary to use a test case selection approach. The research study focuses on analyzing the effectiveness of the FAST algorithm, namely the FAST-pw and FAST-all algorithms, for executing test cases based on priority. The research method uses experiments through running algorithms on test cases that have been implanted with faults in the software with a test case size of 10,000 to 20,000 lines of the program. The effectiveness parameter uses the test case execution time and the percentage of fault detection using the average percentage fault detection (APFD) metric. The results showed that the FAST algorithm, namely the FAST-pw and FAST-all algorithms, had good effectiveness values when applied to TCP testing with small to medium-sized SUTs, namely test cases that tested 1,000 – 20,000 program lines.

Abstract

From an early age, children already use a gadget for entertainment. For example, they use it for watching an animation or playing games. However, internet without supervision will harm children's development and increase potential dangers such as sexual crimes, cyberbullying, speech impediments, anti-social, decreased physical health, and easy tantrums. We need awareness of healthy internet use. Meanwhile, kindergarten teachers and parents of students at the Baiturrahman Playgroup Foundation (KB) have limited knowledge of internet use. We held this community service (PkM) to teach the teachers and parents about the importance of healthy internet use, the potential dangers of social media, how to limit the content, and how to protect internet privacy. This training uses lectures, discussions, practice of technical skills, reward for active participants. This community service activities include planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation. This community service is a success if the participant's knowledge is increased and the level of satisfaction with the implementation of the activity is high. The output consists of profiling the knowledge of the training participants on healthy internet use, training modules, and training evaluation results. We got participant's knowledge and attitude by conducting a survey. The result showed that the participants did not understand the negative impacts of using internet without privacy protection and parental supervision. We also conducted a survey about the satisfaction of the event. It showed that 54.55% of participants experienced increased their knowledge, and 75.61% of participants gave a satisfaction index above 80% (Very Satisfying). With this community service, teachers and parents of students have realized the importance of educating about healthy internet use from an earlier age by providing restriction and supervision through information technology.

Abstract

Most Software Development Processes (SDP) project failures occur due to errors in estimating cost, time, and effort during the planning phase. This happened because the planning carried out still relied on the intuition and experience of the programmer. One approach that can be taken to plan the right SDP is to know the value of SDP productivity. The focus of this research is to determine the value of productivity based on the differences in programmers’ skills. The case study is conducted to determine the productivity value of the web-based software that has been built, namely McDelivery. The productivity value is calculated based on the ratio of software size to the effort. Software size is obtained through the calculation of the Application Function Point Count (APFC). Meanwhile, the effort is obtained through expert judgment to determine the time needed by the development team at the junior, middle, and senior software developers to implement software functionality in person-day to the form of program code. The result shows that the productivity value of SDP is directly proportional to the level of ability of the programmers. These productivity values can be used as a solution option to calculate the estimated time, cost, and even the availability of programmers that are adjusted to the conditions faced in planning software development

Abstract

Software testing plays a crucial role in the software development by ensuring that software is accurate and of high quality. Many software companies neglect software testing, which can lead to unprofitable business outcomes. For example, ineffective software testing may fail to identify all defects, resulting in increased development costs. A key factor determining the success of software testing is the strategy for implementing the testing process, the selection of testing tools, and the documentation of testing activities. This article examines the current state of software testing processes in the Indonesian software industry. The research objective is to analyze the software testing implementation strategy within the software development context, focusing on three main areas: software testing methodology, software testing tools, and software testing documentation. The research employs a survey method, collecting data from several respondents, Indonesian software companies, via an online questionnaire. The research findings indicate that testing is still predominantly manual. However, some software companies have begun to adopt a combination of manual and automated testing. Most companies utilize software testing documentation for reporting purposes during the execution of tests. Nevertheless, documenting test cases as a guide for testing execution is not prioritized as highly as bug reporting. Conversely, many Indonesian software companies have adopted testing tools and conducted performance testing to ensure software quality. Consequently, the software testing process in the Indonesian software industry tends to adhere to formal methods in accordance with the ISO/IEC/IEEE 29119 software testing standards

Abstract

The rapid growth of the software industry has directly increased the demand for reliable and skilled programming employees (programmers). The success of this industry heavily relies on the technical expertise of the development team, particularly in mastering programming languages and the latest technologies. Therefore, an efficient and effective system is essential for selecting the right programmer based on project requirements. This selection process can optimize resource allocation and enhance the chances of project success. This research proposes the development of an employee recommendation system based on the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. The case study is applied at CV Garuda Infinity Kreasindo, a software development company located in Bandung. This system is designed to assist project managers in identifying the programmer who best fits the project's technical needs. By utilizing four criteria—specifically, the employee's programming role, the programming languages they have mastered, and their experience with databases and frameworks—decisions can be made objectively regarding the employees needed for a specific project at CV Garuda Infinity Kreasindo.

Abstract

The proliferation of online news necessitates accurate article similarity systems to combat information overload, yet models based solely on semantic content often ignore crucial structural context like news source and publication date. This research proposes and evaluates a hybrid embedding model that integrates semantic representations from Sentence-BERT (SBERT) with structural representations from Node2Vec. A series of quantitative experiments were conducted on the challenging, multilingual SPICED dataset to determine the optimal model configuration. Using Mean Squared Error (MSE) for evaluation, the results show that a per-paragraph chunking strategy yielded the best performance. This strategy's effectiveness was validated by the identical performance of an optimal fixed-size chunk (450 characters with a 64 overlap), a value that aligns closely with the dataset's average paragraph length. Furthermore, a community-focused (BFS-like) Node2Vec configuration (p=1.0, q=2.0, l=60) was identified as optimal for the structural component. Significantly, the final hybrid model (MSE = 0.1434) proved superior to both the purely semantic (MSE = 0.1449) and purely structural models (MSE = 0.2512). This study concludes that the fusion of content and context provides the most comprehensive and accurate representation for news similarity detection.

Abstract

Al-Imam Al-Islami Islamic Boarding School (ponpes) located in Cikembar, Sukabumi, West Java is an educational institution. Al-Imam Al-Islam Islamic Boarding School has been established since 1994. One of the important activities at the Islamic boarding school is managing and issuing (generating) santri passports. Currently, Islamic boarding schools still experience several problems in managing and publishing report cards, including human error because they still use conventional methods using the Excel office application; and the process of issuing report cards is quite long because report card data is not stored in one place. Web application development is aimed at overcoming these problems, through the capability to minimize human error with management support in setting user access rights based on roles or assignments, centralized data storage, and support for the data recapitulation process to speed up the issuance of report cards. This application development method consists of nine stages, namely: (1) Problem Identification; (2) Literature Study; (3) Data Collection; (4) Needs Analysis; (5) Application Design; (6) Application Implementation; (7) Application Testing and Improvement; (8) Assistance in using the application; and (9) Preparation of Output Documentation. The result of this activity is an appropriate technology product in the form of a web application for managing and publishing Islamic boarding school report cards, accompanied by modules and handouts for users using instructions and technical management of the application. Based on test results and use by users, this application has made it easier for Islamic boarding schools to manage and publish Islamic boarding school report cards. As a community service activity, a web-based application for managing and publishing report cards has been adopted and utilized directly by Islamic boarding schools as user partners.

Abstract

Pemuda Persis, as a part of the Islamic Union, faces the challenge of a demographic in spreading their dakwah. The main issue is the dynamics of member development and participation influenced by demographic, geographic, social, and psychological changes. The current priority for the management is to focus on comprehensive development to create quality cadres. They have created preaching content on YouTube and Instagram but have not effectively reached all members, as seen from the viewership on each platform. The goal of this Community Service Program (PkM) is to develop an Islamic study website as a platform for study and preaching content for Pemuda Persis Banjaran members and the general public. The PkM consists of seven stages: 1) Software needs analysis; 2) Software design; 3) Software development implementation; 4) Installation and testing of the software; 5) Socialization and training; 6) Assistance and evaluation; 7) Software launch. The result of this PkM is a website with a Content Management System (CMS) and a portal to display the dakwah content such as study programs, articles, and news. Three types of users are identified: admin, registered website members, and non-members. Admin can manage articles, new pages, menus, study programs, and study program categories. Additionally, Admin can also view dakwah content frequently accessed by members. Meanwhile, members can manage profiles and view specific member articles. Non-members can only view articles, study programs, and news. The level of user satisfaction with the application is measured using the System Usability Scale (SUS) survey.  The SUS score of 79.3 indicating that the generated website is effective, efficient, and satisfactory. Therefore, it can be concluded that this PkM has significantly contributed well to solving the partner's problem.
