Abstract

Tradisi Selamatan Buka Lawang ini merupakan bentuk upacara syukuran dalam pembukaan rumah baru untuk pertama kalinya yang diadakan masyarakat di Desa Kalipang, Kecamatan Sutojayan, Kabupaten Blitar. Fokus dalam penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan interpretatif simbolik dan nilai tradisi selamatan Buka Lawang. Desain penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif yang disusun dengan memfokuskan dalam metodhe antropologi dengan menggunakan teori interpretatif simbolik dari Clifford Geertz. Objek utama dalam penelitian ini adalah tatalaku dan juga ubarampe selamatan tradisi Buka Lawang. Penelitian ini menggunakan sumber data yang diperoleh dari obeservasi lapangan dan wawancara dengan pihak perangkat Desa dan tetua adat. Data dari penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis interaktif dengan cara menyeleksi dan mereduksi data sehingga didapatkan garis besar dalam penelitian ini. Hasil dari pembahasan menunjukkan makna simbolik secara garis besar dalam tradisi selametan buka lawang ialah gambaran dari perilaku masyarakat Jawa seperti kesopanan dalam bertindak dan penghormatan pada roh para leluhur. Simbol-simbol yang terbentuk tersebut juga memiliki nilai-nilai yang dapat diambil seperti memperkuat hubungan sosial, penghormatan kepada leluhur Desa, hidup dalam ketentraman, pengingat-ingat para leluhur. Abstract

Mojokerto terkenal dengan sejarah kekuasaan kerajaan Majapahit. Latar belakang tersebut menjadikan beragamnya tradisi pada masyarakat Mojokerto. Situs terkenal yang menarik yakni candi dan petirtaan Jolotundo yang berada di Dukuh Balekambang, Desa Seloliman, Kecamatan Trawas. Pada situs tersebut terdapat tradisi ruwat yang menggunakan ujub Sesaji Sangkan Paran yang juga merupakan ujub populer digunakan dalam ritual oleh komunitas budaya seJawa-Bali. Berlandaskan ketertarikan akan ujub tersebut, peneliti ingin mengupas lebih dalam mengenai performansi yang dimiliki oleh ujub Sesaji Sangkan Paran. Berharap dapat menemukan pola yang nantinya dapat diwariskan kepada anak cucu sebagai salah satu upaya pelestarian budaya Jawa. Berpijak pada teori antropolinguistik Duranti, penelitian ini berfokus pada (1) performansi konteks ujub Sesaji Sangkan Paran dalam tradisi ruwat candi dan petirtaan Jolotundo, (2) performansi ko-teks ujub Sesaji Sangkan Paran dalam tradisi ruwat candi dan petirtaan Jolotundo, dan (3) performansi struktur ujub Sesaji Sangkan Paran dalam tradisi ruwat candi dan petirtaan Jolotundo. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang hasil pembahasannya disuguhkan berupa tulisan deskripsi. Dalam memperoleh data peneliti melakukan wawancara dan mengolah data tersebut dengan teknik analisis induktif berdasarkan fakta-fakta kecil terkait ujub yang kemudian menghasilkan rumusan berupa formula ujub. Penelitian ini menghasilkan performansi konteks berupa waktu, tempat, dan cara penggunaan teks di dalam ujubnya. Juga menemukan performansi ko-teks berupa penekanan suara, tinggi rendahnya suara, dan gerak isyarat tukang ujub. Terakhir yaitu menemukan performansi struktur berupa struktur mikro, superstruktur, dan makro. Kata kunci: performansi, ujub sesaji sangkan paran, candi dan petirtaan Jolotundo.

Abstract

Media selection is needed to teach Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA) through distance learning (PJJ) to explore Indonesian local wisdom. BIPA learning problems often arise so that students cannot absorb the material optimally. BIPA learning in PJJ requires special attention because it is carried out online. The ability to apply information technology, especially when choosing learning media, is an important concern in BIPA learning. The focus of the discussion of this article includes 1) the BIPA class learning process at the Indonesian Embassy in Bern, Switzerland, and 2) Interactive media used in BIPA learning at the Indonesian Embassy in Bern, Switzerland. The method for this study uses a qualitative design by observing the distance learning process of BIPA at the Indonesian Embassy in Bern. The results of observations from the BIPA PJJ learning process at the Indonesian Embassy in Bern are that students have different backgrounds and basic abilities, and the use of interactive media is very effective in this learning. The media used include 1) word wall for learning vocabulary and grammar, 2) learning app pages for learning listening, reading, and grammar, and 3) a jam board for learning to write.

Abstract

This study explores the initial abilities of BIPA (Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers) students and the BIPA learning process with Nusantara’s local wisdom in the BIKTA program for diaspora children at the Indonesian Embassy in Doha, Qatar. This research has an urgency in exploring Nusantara’s local wisdom through BIPA learning. This is based on the concern that the diaspora of Indonesian children in Qatar has minimal knowledge of Indonesian culture. Through this research, it is hoped that it can contribute to developing Indonesian insights through exploration of Nusantara’s local wisdom through BIPA learning. The method in this study uses qualitative research. Research data collection was carried out by observation, questionnaires, and FGDs for teachers and program administrators. The research results on the initial abilities of BIPA students at the Indonesian Embassy in Doha are quite varied and divided at the BIPA I, BIPA II, and BIPA III levels. The BIPA learning process explores local wisdom including traditional musical instruments, national songs, Indonesian folklore and legends, food, and Indonesian tourism.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the form of religious value-oriented actions in the novel Ngrangsang Lintange Luku by Narko "Sodrun" Budiman. The theory used in this research is a literary sociology approach with the help of sosial action theory according to Max Weber's perspective. This research is descriptive and is a type of qualitative research. The data source for this research is the novel Ngrangsang Lintange Luku by Narko "Sodrun" Budiman. The data collection technique used is using library research and note-taking techniques. The data analysis technique used is the descriptive analysis method. Based on the research results, three aspects of religious values ​​were found in the religious value-oriented novel depicted in the novel Ngrangsang Lintange Luku, including aspects of faith, worship and morals. The most dominant aspect in this research is the aspect of worship, which consists of five data quotations, including: praying consisting of two dhata quotations, prayer consisting of two data quotations, and maintaining friendship consisting of one data quotation. And the most dominating figure in this religious values-oriented action is Miko.

Abstract

Abstrak Perkembangan teknologi digital telah membuka peluang baru dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Jawa pada materi aksara Jawa yang selama ini cenderung kurang diminati dan sulit diajarkan. Dalam konteks tersebut, penting untuk mengkaji sejauh mana media berbasis web mampu menjawab tantangan pembelajaran berdasarkan pengalaman visual dan praktik menulis. Artikel ini membahas efektivitas Mijiwa (multimedia interaktif Jawa berbasis web), sebuah media pembelajaran berbasis web terhadap peningkatan keterampilan menulis aksara Jawa bagi peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif terhadap publikasi ilmiah yang terbit pada periode 2020-2025. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa Mijiwa memiliki keunggulan dalam menyajikan pembelajaran yang interaktif dan kontekstual melalui integrasi fitur multimodal dan latihan soal berbasis dinamis. Akses yang mudah melalui perangkat pribadi seperti smartphone memberikan kesempatan bagi peserta didik untuk belajar secara fleksibel, kapan pun dan di mana pun. Media ini juga mampu mendorong partisipasi aktif dan meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa terhadap materi aksara Jawa. Oleh karena itu, Mijiwa dinilai relevan sebagai inovasi pembelajaran Bahasa Jawa yang adaptif terhadap gaya belajar generasi digital. Kata kunci: Aksara Jawa, Media Pembelajaran, Mijiwa, Pembelajaran berbasis Web, Studi Literatur Abstract The development of digital technology has opened new chances in learning Javanese mainly in Javanese script in which many students were less interested in and hard to learn. So, it is important to study how far the web based media able to answer the learning challenge based on the visual and writing experience. This article discusses about whether Mijiwa (multimedia interaktif Jawa berbasis web) could improve the ability of writing Javanese script to the students. This study used literature study method through qualitative descriptive approach to the scientific publication released in 2020-2025. The result of the study showed that Mijiwa had superiority in interactive and contextual learning  through the multimodal feature integration and dynamic based test. The easy access through smartphone gave chances to the students to learn flexibly both time and places. This media was also able to support the students to be active and improve the learning motivation to the Javanese script. So, Mijiwa was identified relevant with adaptive Javanese learning innovation to the digital generation learning styles. Abstract

This article explores the phenomenon of reaction commodification in live batik sales broadcasts on TikTok, a practice gaining significant popularity in Indonesia. In the context of the attention economy, users' emotional reactions—whether comments, virtual gifts, or expressions of awe or anger—have become valuable economic assets. This research employs a qualitative approach using netnography and content analysis of three prominent hosts: Farhan (72 Batik), Rama (Batik Nawilis), and Tulus (Sanarakarta Batik). The findings indicate that these hosts do more than just sell; they act as digital cultural performers who craft narratives, visual scenarios, and manipulate audience emotions to capture the spotlight and generate income. This practice of reaction commodification carries complex social and cultural implications. On one hand, it opens new economic opportunities for local cultural practitioners. On the other hand, it threatens the authentic meaning of batik as an intangible cultural heritage, risking its reduction to mere spectacle. This study highlights the dynamics of local cultural representation within the global pull of digital platforms. It also offers a critical reflection on the ethical boundaries and future directions of digital cultural policy. Finally, this article paves the way for further research on the relationship between the attention economy, digital performativity, and the sustainability of local culture on social media.
