Abstract

Penyembuhan luka diabetes merupakan proses yang unik dan kompleks. Sejumlah dressing dikembangkan untuk mengetahui manfaat yang diharapkan meningkatkatkan proses penyembuhan. Penelitian in vivo maupun in vitro madu dan silver menunjukan hasil yang berbeda. Diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut aktifitas sitotoksik madu dan silver terhadap sel fibroblas dalam media tinggi glukosa. Penelitian inibertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah madu dan silver bersifat sitotoksik terhadap sel fibroblast dalam media tinggi glukosa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimental  dengan post test only desain. Kultur sel fibroblast di uji sitotoksik dengan meggunakan metode MTT Assay secara in vitro. Kelompok penelitian dibagi menjadi  kelompok madu dengan konsentrasi 6%, 3% 1.5% dan kelompok Silver. Silver memiliki efek sitotoksik terhadap sel fibroblas dengan nilai penghambatan sebesar 100%. Madu dengan konsentrasi 6% dan 3% memiliki nilai penghambatan lebih dari 50%. Madu konsentrasi 1,5% menujukan proses penghambatan kurang dari 50% dan meningkatkan proses priliferasi sel fibroblas dalam media tinggi glukosa. Madu memiliki aktifitas sitotoksik yang lemah terhadap sel fibroblas dan dapat meningkatkan proliferasi sel, sedangkan silver memiliki aktifitas sitotoksik yang kuat terhadap sel fibroblast.

Abstract

Monitor exposure from laptops or computers, cellphones and the frequency of their use, is still a suspected cause of eye disorders. The impact felt by students from monitor exposure is the appearance of eye fatigue, which results in impaired concentration and focus of learning. This study was conducted to examine the causes of eye fatigue caused by the duration, distance, time and lighting in the use of gadgets, monitor exposure. This type of the study is quantitative with an analytic observational design. The sample technique used consecutive sampling. The sample in this study was 118 Nursing students at Respati University, Yogyakarta The Bivariate test used independent T-test. The results of the study showed that the eye fatigue of students was 92.4%. The relationship test of time, distance, time, and lighting in the use of gadgets with eye fatigue obtained p value more than 0.05. The relationship between the use of eye glasses and eye fatigue was 0.008 (p value < 0.05. There are no significant different between length, distance, time and lighting in gadget use and monitor exposure and eye fatigue. There is a significant different between the used of eye glasses and eye fatigue.

Abstract

Wound healing is a complex event involving both cellular and molecular activities. Fibroblasts play an important role and are keys to wound healing through cell proliferation and migration. Honey has anti-microbial, anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory properties, which are used for various benefits such as wound healing. This study aims to explore the effect of honey on the viability and migration ability of fibroblast cells. The method used is the viability test using the MTT Assay calculated by the formula for the percentage of cell viability. Migration test using In Vitro Wound Scratch Assay. The results of the migration test images were analyzed using ImageJ. Giving honey doses of 0.5% and 0.1% increased cell viability and migration after 24 hours of intervention. Decreased cell viability after 48 hours of treatment, but there was a difference in the meaning of honey 1%, 0.5%, and 0.1% compared to control. Honey doses of 1%, 0.5%, and 0.1% increased fibroblast cell migration compared to control. The lowest honey increases the viability and migration of fibroblasts so that the possibility of wound healing. Keywords: Honey; Fibroblast Migration; Wound Scratch Assay; Wound Healing

Abstract

Alternative treatments can be used singly or in mixture to treat and prevent disease. Honey and Aloe vera are natural ingredients that have anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant properties that are used to treat wounds. Animal studies have shown that giving honey and Aloe vera can speed up wound healing time. This study aims to examine the cytotoxic effect of the combination of honey and Aloe vera on the NIH3T3 cell line and its impact on cell viability. This research is a pure experiment using the post-test only design with control group design. The cytotoxicity test was on NIH3T3 fibroblast cells using the MTT Assay method to determine the inhibitory concentration (IC50) value. Cell viability was calculated using the MTT Assay method. The combination is divided into 5 concentrations, combination 1 (2% honey and 500 μg/mL (0.005%) Aloe vera)), combination 2 (1.5% honey and 250μg/mL (0.0025%) Aloe vera)), combination 3 (1% honey and 125 μg/mL (0.00125%) Aloe vera)), combination 4 (Honey 0.5% and 50μg/mL (0.0005%) Aloe vera)), combination 5 (Honey 0.1 % and 0.5μg/mL (0.00005%) Aloe vera)). The combination of honey and Aloe vera showed inhibition below 13.87% with an IC50 value of 6.58%. Combination honey and Aloe vera on average was able to increase the viability of fibroblast cells above 86.13%. Combination 4 and 5 can increase cell viability 96.50% and 99.80%. The combination of honey and Aloe vera does not cause cytotoxic effects on NIH3T3 fibroblasts cell line and can increase the viability of fibroblasts.

Abstract

The provision of excellent or appropriate MP-ASI will significantly affect the growth and development of children and children's intelligence. Giving MP-ASI that is not appropriate will impact problems in the nutritional status of children such as undernutrition status and overnutrition status to obesity. The introduction and provision of MP-ASI should be made gradually from liquid, semi-solid, and solid foods. This study aimed to determine the relationship between maternal education level and the accuracy of complementary feeding (MP ASI) with the nutritional status of children under five. This research is a quantitative analytical observation with a cross-sectional design. The research sample was 74 children aged 6-24 months, obtained using accidental sampling technique, data analysis using the Chi-Square test, and Fisher's alternative test. The results showed that the relationship between a mother's education level and the nutritional status of children under five was obtained with a p-value of 0.111 (p-value <0.05). The relationship between the accuracy of giving MP-ASI with the nutritional status of children under five obtained a p-value of 0.038 (p-values <0.05). This study concludes that there is no relationship between the mother's level of education with the accuracy of giving complementary feeding and the nutritional status of children under five. There is a relationship between the accuracy of giving MP-ASI with the nutritional status of toddlers.

Abstract

Individuals who spend most of their time sitting for long periods are at risk of experiencing low back pain. Pain complaints are the most common injuries in the work environment, both as administrator and in academia. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the lengths of sitting during lectures with complaints of low back pain. This research is a quantitative analytic cross-sectional design conducted on 62 nursing students. Sitting time and pain complaints were measured using a questionnaire, physical examination (laseque test) and descriptive scale verbal pain assessment instrument (VDS). Data analysis used Fisher exact test with α: 5%. The results showed that the number of respondents who experienced low back pain complaints was 44 (71.0%) with a sitting time of ≥5 hours is 51 (82.3%) with a value of p = 0.025. The conclusion of this research is the length of sitting during lectures is at risk of causing low back pain

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) Tipe 2 menjadi salah satu masalah kesehatan di Dunia dan Indonesia yang jumlahnya terus meningkat. Pendidikan kesehatan manajemen diri DM dianggap sebagai komponen integral dalam perawatan diabetes. Upaya deteksi dini dan monitor kadar gula darah bagi penderita DM melalui kader kesehatan diperlukan untuk mendeteksi dan megurangi risiko terjadinya komplikasi serta kematian akibat DM. Solusi yang ditawarkan adalah pelatihan dan pendampingan kader tentang pengukuran kadar glukosa darah. Metode pemecahan masalah dilakukan dengan 1) melakukan pendidikan kesehatan tentang diabetes mellitus kepada kader kesehatan, 2) melakukan pelatihan pengukuran kadar glukosa darah kepada kader kesehatan, 3) melakukan pendampingan kegiatan pengukuran kadar glukosa darah. Hasil: Terdapat 5 warga yang resiko tinggi diabetes, sedangkan 16 warga diantaranya dengan kategori prediabetes. Terdapat perubahan pengetahuan dan kepercayaan diri kader kesehatan untuk deteksi dini serta pencegahan penyakit diabetes setelah diberikan pelatihan. Kesimpulan: Kader kesehatan mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan tentang penyakit diabetes mellitus dan secara mandiri dapat melakukan pengukuran kadar glukosa darah kepada warga sebagai upaya deteksi dini diabetes mellitus.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Jeruk nipis secara ilmiah dikenal sebagai Citrus aurantifolia, telah diakui sebagai salah satu bahan yang potensial dalam aromaterapi berkat sifat terapeutiknya serta aroma segarnya yang khas. Minyak atsiri jeruk nipis dikenal karena komponen bioaktifnya seperti d-limonene yang memiliki sifat terapeutik dan aroma segar. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merumuskan dan mengevaluasi minyak atsiri jeruk nipis sebagai sediaan aromaterapi dengan fokus pada karakteristik organoleptik. Metode: Penelitian ini adalah experiment dengan rancangan penelitian post-test only without control group design. Dua formulasi minyak atsiri 5% dan 10% diuji dan dievaluasi menggunakan uji organoleptik terhadap aroma, warna, bentuk, rasa di kulit, serta pH. Hasil: menunjukkan bahwa formulasi dengan konsentrasi minyak atsiri lebih tinggi memiliki aroma yang lebih kuat dan disukai oleh mayoritas responden. Nilai pH berkisar antara 4 hingga 5, yang berada dalam batas aman untuk sediaan topikal. Sensasi dingin pada kulit disebabkan oleh kandungan menthol dalam setiap formulasi. Kesimpulan: Minyak atsiri jeruk nipis dengan konsentrasi 10% memberikan aroma yang lebih kuat, dengan pH 5 dan banyak disukai responden. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam pengembangan produk aromaterapi yang efektif serta aman digunakan pada kulit. Penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan konsentrasi minyak atsiri jeruk nipis dapat meningkatkan daya tarik sensorik produk aromaterapi.
