Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in elementary schools through the application of the cooperative learning model Team Games Tournament (TGT) combined with puzzle media. TGT is a well-known learning strategy that encourages student participation by blending competition and collaboration, which has proven effective in various educational contexts. This classroom action research involved 30 fifth-grade students at SDN Ketabang 1, Surabaya. The research was conducted in two cycles, where TGT and puzzle media were used to teach science topics related to the human eye. Results showed a significant improvement in learning outcomes, with average student scores increasing from 55% in the pre-cycle to 85% by the end of the second cycle. Moreover, students’ engagement and social skills, such as teamwork and communication, were positively impacted. The study demonstrates that combining TGT with interactive media like puzzles not only enhances academic performance but also fosters a collaborative and engaging learning environment.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the implementation and effectiveness of Augmented Reality (AR) media based on Student Worksheets (LKPD) using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in improving students’ understanding of human eye structure concepts among fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 2 Kembangbahu. The research problem was based on students’ low conceptual understanding of human eye structure material, which is abstract in nature. This study employed Classroom Action Research using the Kemmis and McTaggart model conducted in two cycles, consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages, with nine students as research subjects. Data were collected through tests, observations, interviews, and documentation and were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques. The results showed that the implementation of LKPD-based AR media with the PBL model was carried out through five learning phases, namely problem orientation, student organization, investigation, presentation of results, and evaluation. Students’ conceptual understanding showed a significant improvement, as indicated by an increase in the average score from 55.55 in the pre-cycle to 75.55 in Cycle I and 97.77 in Cycle II, with classical mastery reaching 100%. In addition, students’ attitudes and skills were categorized as very good. Therefore, the integration of LKPD-based AR media with the PBL model was effective in concretizing abstract concepts and comprehensively improving students’ understanding of human eye structure.

Abstract

This research is a developmental research aimed at developing learning media, i.e. the media Snake Stairs on the learning material of IPA. The researchers took the material of Changing the Presence of Things in Class IV UPT SD NEGERI NGAMPELREJO. The goal of the researchers is to develop a staircase snake medium to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the developed ladder snake media. Development is done using the ADDIE model that consists of five (five) stages: analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate. (evaluasi). Data analysis techniques used are data validity analysis, data practicality analysis, and data effectiveness analysis. Based on the validation test, the results were obtained that the scale snake media developed had sufficiently valid criteria to be used with a percentage of material experts 77%, media experts 92%, and linguists 63.3%, and a product revision had been carried out so that trials in the field were tested. The percentage result for the elevation of teacher responses was 93.3% with very practical criteria. In the test obtained 89% with practical Criteria for use in learning. Based on the student test results performed in the test resulted 82%. Student test results on the test there are 6 students who get a score below KKM and there are 28 students that get a rating above KKM.

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to improve students learning outcomes in mathematics on the topic of currency values using the role-playing method, which consists of four stages: planning, action, observing, and reflecting. The research was conducted in the second grade of UPT SD Negeri Ngampelrejo involving 25 students. Data collection instruments used were observation and learning outcome tests. The results showed an improvement in the learning outcomes of second-grade students at UPT SD Negeri Ngampelrejo, evidenced by the learning outcomes in the first cycle reaching 64% of the minimum competency criteria (KKM) with an average score of 67.8, and further increasing in the second cycle with a percentage of 96% and an average score of 87.6. These findings indicate that the application of the role-playing method effectively improves learning outcomes on the topic of currency values in the second grade of UPT SD Negeri Ngampelrejo.

Abstract

This mixed-method study was motivated by the low level of students’ active participation in IPAS learning among fourth-grade students at an elementary school in Surabaya. The study aimed to analyze the effect of the ClassDojo platform on students’ active participation and learning outcomes. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. Data were collected through pretest-posttest, questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation. The data were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and independent sample t-tests. The results showed that the use of the ClassDojo platform had a significant effect on increasing students’ active participation, but did not show a significant effect on students’ learning outcomes. In addition, students gave positive responses because the learning process became more interesting, enjoyable, and motivating for them to participate more actively. Therefore, ClassDojo can be used as an alternative digital learning media to improve students’ active participation in IPAS learning.
