Abstract

Freedom of contract gives flexibility to litigants in determining choice of law, choice of jurisdiction, and choice of domicile. In the unlimited business era nowadays, arbitration is a very popular forum for businessmen in many countries in settling civil disputes outside the courts, because of the simple procedure and relatively fast result compared to the court procedure. Besider the arbitration award is not for public exposure, which is very important for the businessmen who their credibility. On the other hand, businessmen who have won the case are when it comes to the enforcement of the arbitration award which have to involve the court. The most common thing that happened is that mostly the losing party will ask for a annulment or refusal of the arbitration award in the country where the award will beexecuted. In Indonesia, according to the article 70, 71, and 72 Undang-Undang No. 30/1999 concerning arbitration and alternative dispute resolutions, the authority to annul an arbitration award is in the hand of the district court. In article 70 Undang-Undang No. 30/1999 it is mentioned that the parties can file an application to annul an arbitration award if any of the following conditions are alleged to exist : 1. Letters or documents submitted at the hearings are acknowledged to be false or forged or are declared to be forgeries after the award has been rendered; 2. After the award has been rendered there are documents found which are decisive in nature and which deliberately concealed by the opposing party; or 3. The award was rendered as result of fraud committed by one of the parties to the dispute. In the Case between Karaha Bodas Company, PERTAMINA, and PLN, the District Court of Central Jakarta has an authority to annul the Geneva arbitration award according to is only valid the conditions in article 70 Undang-Undang No. 30/J999, but the annulment award can only be used in  the Indonesian law territory, it is not an obligation for other courts in other countries to the follow the annulment award, due to State Sovereignty of every country. An annulment of Geneva arbitration award, in order to admitted and enforced by each country, must be done by the court in Geneva, Swiss in which the arbitration award has been given, or according to the law by which the award has been given. This is according to article V (])e New York Convention 1958.

Abstract

Abstract: In this study, patients with high risk traumatic brain injury (TBI) were treated with mild therapeutic hypothermia and their serum MMP-9 levels as well as neurological outcome were evaluated. This was an experimental analytical study conducted at Intensive Care Unit Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Hospital, Manado. The results showed that there were 20 patients with high risk TBI (the FOUR score <7) prospective randomly assigned to mild therapeutic hypothermia and control groups. Patients were evaluated at the time of admission and after 72 hours. The serum MMP-9 level was examined by using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and the clinical outcome was evaluated by using the FOUR score. Levels of the variables were compared between the two groups. In the hypothermia group, level of serum MMP-9 was decreased (P > 0.05) after 72 hours and there was a significant improvement of the FOUR score (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Mild therapeutic hypothermia could reduce serum MMP-9 level and significantly improve the neurological outcome after 72 hours.Keyword: mild hypothermia, MMP-9, FOUR scoreAbstrak: Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap penderita cedera otak akibat trauma (COT) risiko tinggi yang diberi perlakuan hipotermia ringan (HPTr) dengan mengevaluasi kadar MMP-9 serum dan hasil klinis yang dinilai melalui skor FOUR. Jenis penelitian ini ialah eksperimental analitik. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Intensive Care Unit (ICU) RSUP Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado. Terdapat total 20 pasien dengan COT risiko tinggi (skor FOUR <7) yang secara random dibagi dalam kelompok kontrol dan kelompok HPTr. Pasien dinilai saat masuk dan setelah 72 jam kemudian. Kadar MMP-9 serum dinilai menggunakan enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Perbedaan level dari kedua variabel ini dibandingkan pada kedua kelompok. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa pada kelompok perlakuan HPTr, kadar MMP-9 serum berkurang setelah 72 jam walaupun tidak bermakna (P > 0,05) dan terdapat peningkatan skor FOUR secara bermakna (P < 0,05). Simpulan: Perlakuan hipotermi ringan dapat menurunkan kadar MMP-9 serum dan memberikan peningkatan hasil klinis melalui penilaian skor FOUR setelah 72 jam kemudian.Kata kunci: hipotermi ringan, MMP-9, FOUR score

Abstract

Abstract: This study was aimed to prove the effect of mild therapeutic hypothermia in patients with high-risk traumatic brain injury (TBI). Evaluation was based on classification of CT-scan result and serum matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) concentration. This was an experimental analytical study. Subjects were 20 patients with high-risk TBI, divided into two groups: control group and treatment group. CT Scan Marshall and serum MMP-9 examination were performed on both groups. The treatment group was treated with mild therapeutic hypothermia and showed a tendency of decreased serum MMP-9 concentration and improved CT Marshall score; albeit, they were not significant (P > 0.05). Conclusion: In patients with high-risk traumatic brain injury, mild therapeutic hypothermia could decrease serum MMP-9 concentration, meanwhile its inflluence on anatomical imaging was limited and not significant. Moreover, there was no patient with worsened CT Marshall score found.Keywords: mild therapeutic hypothermia, MMP-9, CT Marshall, TBIAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan efek terapi HPTr pada penderita cedera otak akibat trauma (COT) risiko tinggi yang dievaluasi berdasarkan penilaian klasifikasi hasil CT scan dan perubahan kadar matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) serum. Jenis penelitian ialah eksperimental analitik. Subyek penelitian ialah 20 orang penderita COT risiko tinggi yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok kontrol dan perlakuan hipotermia. Masing-masing kelompok dilakukan pemeriksaan CT Scan Marshall dan MMP-9. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan pada kelompok perlakuan terdapat kecenderungan penurunan kadar MMP-9 serum dan perbaikan skor CT Marshall walaupun keduanya tidak bermakna (P > 0,05). Simpulan: Perlakukan HPTr pada penderita COT risiko tinggi dapat menghambat MMP-9 serum, sedangkan pengaruhnya pada gambaran anatomis dinilai kecil dan tidak bermakna, akan tetapi tidak ditemukan pasien dengan perburukan skor CT Marshall.Kata kunci: hipotermia ringan, MMP-9, CT Marshall, COT

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh lingkungan kerja dan stres kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan pada PT Gunung Mas Internasional. Perusahaan sangat berharap untuk mendapatkan kinerja karyawan di level kerja yang lebih tinggi. Dalam penelitian ini responden yang ada adalah  135, alat analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi linier berganda, dan variabel independen terdiri dari lingkungan kerja dan stres kerja sedangkan variabel dependennya adalah kinerja karyawan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah, lingkungan kerja memiliki nilai t hitung pada 2,283 > t tabel pada 1,977, hipotesis pertama diterima. Stres kerja memiliki nilai t hitung pada 7,083 > t tabel pada 1,977, hipotesis kedua diterima. Lingkungan kerja dan stres kerja memiliki nilai F yang dihitung pada 75,391 > F tabel pada 3,064, hipotesis ketiga diterima. Dan pengaruh  proporsional dari lingkungan kerja dan stres kerja secara simultan  memiliki nilai sebesar 52,6%, hal ini berarti bahwa nilai variabel kinerja karyawan dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan kerja dan stres kerja 52,6% dan sisanya 47,4% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak termasuk dalam penelitian ini. Kata Kunci : Lingkungan kerja, Stres kerja, Kinerja karyawan

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the factors that affect AC energy efficiency using statistical analysis methods. The data used is energy-efficient AC labeling data obtained from the Directorate General of New, Renewable, and Energy Conservation Energy (EBETKE) database. Violin plots are used to see the distribution of the data, a correlation heatmap is used to display the level of correlation between variables, and scatterplots and R-squared values are used to visualize linear relationships and measure the strength of the relationship. The results of the study show that efficiency has a very strong positive correlation with rating, with a correlation coefficient of 0.75, while it has a weak negative correlation with other variables. The R-squared value obtained for the linear relationship between efficiency and rating is 0.56, which indicates that 56% of the variation in efficiency can be explained by the variation in rating. This result shows that rating is a very influential factor on AC energy efficiency.

Abstract

A profound understanding of the mechanical properties of stainless steel is crucial in modern industrial applications. However, comprehensively understanding the mechanical properties of stainless steel requires sufficient testing to gather data on its characteristics. In this research, an analysis was conducted on the influence of chemical composition and heat treatment on the mechanical properties of stainless steel, utilizing data from the Material Algorithm Project (MAP), which is a material database. The dataset comprises 986 samples, encompassing 11 chemical elements, variations in quenching, and 3 mechanical properties of stainless steel. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation to examine the relationships between these variables. The research results indicate a negative correlation of -0.35 between temperature and Yield Strength (YS) in samples of steel undergoing air cooling. The YS values in this treatment can reach 300 MPa at temperature combinations ranging from 1300 K to 1330 K, with heating times ranging from 180 seconds to 420 seconds. Meanwhile, water cooling exhibits a wide range of cooling times and relatively high temperatures. Combinations of time between 1400 seconds and 2200 seconds and temperatures between 1300 K and 1400 K result in YS ranging from 240 MPa to 260 MPa. This research suggests that experimental material testing datasets not only play a passive role in validating an experiment but can also be actively utilized in the analysis and design of materials more effectively.

Abstract

Al-Qur’an sebagai Ahkamus Syari’ah merupakan kitab penyempurna dari seluruh kitab- kitab yang Allah turunkan kepada para Nabi-Nya. Di dalamnya banyak memberikan inspirasi yang kuat agar manusia banyak melakukan penelitian tentang alam semesta dan seluruh isinya, berisi hukum-hukum ibadah dan muamalah dan juga diantaranya berisi tuntunan tentang metode berdakwah. Para mufassir berusaha menafsirkan ayat metode dakwah tersebut, dalam hal ini adalah surah An-Nahl ayat 125. Juga nanti pada bagian berikutnya akan dipaparkan pula etika berdakwah dari sisi makarim Syari’ah dari sudut perspektif Etika Ibnu Miskawaih, seorang tokoh yang dikenal sebagai Bapak etika dalam Islam. Contoh kongkrit dari ayat tadi dapat dilihat dari seorang manusia tauladan, yang langit pun sampai cemburu kepada bumi karena di bumi ada sosok teladan itu yaitu, Rasulullah Muhammad SAW.
