Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in Indonesia’s economy, particularly in the food sector, which focuses on snack products such as chips. However, many MSMEs still face production challenges, especially in the dough mixing process that is commonly carried out manually. This condition results in low efficiency, limited production capacity, and inconsistent dough quality. This study was conducted at Kripik Wulan 008 MSME in Panimbang Jaya Village with the aim of designing and implementing a 50-kg capacity horizontal dough mixer as an appropriate technology solution. The mixer was designed using a 2 HP single-phase electric motor with a 1:30 gearbox ratio and a food-grade stainless steel mixing chamber. Testing results showed that the machine could mix 50 kg of dough in 15–20 minutes, which is significantly faster than the manual method requiring more than 40 minutes. After implementation, daily production capacity increased from 50–75 kg to 75–100 kg, with dough quality becoming more homogeneous and hygienic. In addition, operational training provided workers with improved skills in operating and maintaining the machine. Therefore, the application of this horizontal dough mixer has proven effective in enhancing productivity, efficiency, and the competitiveness of food-sector MSMEs in an increasingly competitive market.

Abstract

This community service program aims to empower UMKM Keripik Wulan 008 in Panimbang Jaya Village through a series of activities focusing on business capacity enhancement. The program was initiated to address challenges faced by the business, such as limited product innovation, lack of branding, insufficient digital marketing strategies, and suboptimal financial management. To overcome these issues, the program adopted a participatory approach consisting of several stages: field observation to identify core problems, training sessions to improve knowledge, workshops for practical application, and direct mentoring to ensure implementation. Key activities included product innovation by introducing new flavor variants and designing more attractive packaging, strengthening brand identity through the creation of professional logos and labels, and expanding marketing reach via social media and marketplace platforms. Additionally, Excel-based financial recording training was provided to simplify cash flow monitoring and basic financial reporting. The team also assisted in preparing a proposal for production equipment support to increase production capacity. Evaluation results demonstrated significant improvements in product quality, stronger brand identity, and more modern and effective marketing strategies. Overall, this program has proven to be effective in enhancing the competitiveness of UMKM Keripik Wulan 008 and is expected to serve as a sustainable empowerment model for small businesses, thereby contributing to local economic development.

Abstract

Background: The increasing prevalence of smoking in public spaces has raised significant concerns regarding air quality and public health. As urbanisation continues to expand and populations grow, the visibility of smoking in public areas, including parks, streets, and outdoor dining venues, has become more pronounced. This trend not only poses immediate discomfort for non-smokers but also raises broader implications for community health and environmental quality. Purpose: This study aimed to compare air pollutant levels in smoke-free areas versus active smoking areas, focusing on particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM10), carbon monoxide (CO), and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Method: Employing a quantitative research design, air quality samples were collected from various locations over a six-month period. Results: The findings revealed that active smoking areas exhibited significantly higher levels of pollutants compared to smoke-free zones, with PM2.5 concentrations exceeding safe limits by over 150% in some instances. Conclusion: This study underscores the urgent need for stricter enforcement of smoking regulations to safeguard public health and enhance environmental quality.

Abstract

Perkembangan serangan siber yang semakin kompleks dan dinamis menuntut penerapan sistem deteksi intrusi yang mampu melakukan deteksi dini dengan akurasi tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kinerja algoritma deep learning dalam mendeteksi serangan siber pada jaringan komputer melalui metode studi literatur. Studi ini mengkaji berbagai penelitian terdahulu yang relevan, termasuk penerapan arsitektur Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), VGGNet-16, dan Transformer-based deep learning, serta membandingkan performa algoritma berdasarkan metrik akurasi, precision, recall, dan F1-score. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa algoritma deep learning secara konsisten lebih unggul dibandingkan pendekatan machine learning tradisional maupun metode konvensional berbasis signature dalam mengenali pola serangan yang kompleks dan dinamis. Model deep learning mampu mengekstraksi fitur secara otomatis dari data jaringan berdimensi tinggi, meningkatkan efektivitas deteksi dini, dan adaptif terhadap serangan baru, termasuk zero-day attack. Meskipun demikian, evaluasi literatur juga menunjukkan adanya variasi kinerja yang dipengaruhi oleh perbedaan dataset, metode evaluasi, dan konteks penerapan, sehingga menekankan pentingnya standardisasi evaluasi kinerja algoritma. Penelitian ini memberikan pemahaman komprehensif mengenai tren, tantangan, dan potensi pengembangan algoritma deep learning untuk sistem keamanan jaringan, sekaligus menjadi acuan bagi penelitian selanjutnya dalam meningkatkan efektivitas deteksi dini serangan siber.

Abstract

Mosque-based community economic empowerment activities have significant potential to improve community welfare, particularly for small businesses in the mosque's immediate vicinity. However, implementation is still largely conventional and lacks a data-driven approach, resulting in suboptimal beneficiary identification and activity evaluation. This community service initiative aims to promote a data-driven approach to mosque-based community economic empowerment through sharia bazaar activities. Implementation methods include initial observation, outreach and education for mosque managers and business owners, technical assistance for sharia entrepreneurship, and activity evaluation. The results demonstrate an increased public understanding of the importance of data use in determining beneficiaries, managing bazaar activities, and developing businesses based on sharia economic principles. The outcomes of this initiative include improved data management literacy, a simple data collection format for sharia bazaar activities, and recommendations for developing a mosque-based data collection system. It is hoped that this initiative will be the first step in building a sustainable, transparent, and data-driven community economic empowerment model within the mosque environment.

Abstract

Kepemimpinan dalam perspektif Islam tidak hanya dipandang sebagai fungsi sosial, melainkan juga sebagai amanah ilahiah yang memiliki dimensi moral dan spiritual. Artikel ini mengkaji konsep kepemimpinan Qur’ani dan relevansinya dalam komunikasi organisasi modern dengan merujuk pada ayat-ayat al-Qur’an (QS. Al-Baqarah [2]:30; QS. Sad [38]:26; QS. Asy-Syura [42]:38; QS. Ali Imran [3]:159; QS. An-Nisa [4]:58) serta hadis Nabi SAW. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif berbasis studi literatur tafsir klasik dan kontemporer, serta teori komunikasi organisasi modern, penelitian ini menemukan lima prinsip utama kepemimpinan Qur’ani yang berimplikasi langsung pada pola komunikasi organisasi. Pertama, kepemimpinan dipandang sebagai amanah ilahiah yang menuntut tanggung jawab dan pertanggungjawaban. Kedua, komunikasi organisasi harus ditegakkan di atas keadilan dan prinsip tabayyun. Ketiga, musyawarah menjadi mekanisme Qur’ani untuk mencegah tirani dan memperkuat partisipasi. Keempat, kepemimpinan Qur’ani menolak gaya otoriter dengan menekankan kelembutan dan empati dalam komunikasi. Kelima, trust atau kepercayaan menjadi fondasi relasi pemimpin dan bawahan yang dibangun melalui kejujuran, transparansi, dan konsistensi. Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa prinsip-prinsip komunikasi Qur’ani sangat relevan untuk menjawab tantangan organisasi modern, khususnya dalam membangun iklim kerja yang sehat, partisipatif, dan berorientasi pada nilai-nilai spiritual. Rekomendasi praktis yang diajukan antara lain penguatan budaya musyawarah terbuka, penghindaran kepemimpinan otoriter, integrasi nilai Qur’ani dalam kurikulum manajemen dan komunikasi, penerapan prinsip transparansi dan akuntabilitas, serta pengembangan riset interdisipliner tentang komunikasi Qur’ani. Dengan demikian, kepemimpinan Qur’ani dapat menjadi paradigma alternatif dalam membangun komunikasi organisasi yang produktif sekaligus bernilai ilahiah.

Abstract

This study examines the ethics of tabayyun (verification) and hikmah (wise communication) in mosque WhatsApp groups within the ecosystem of convergent media. As religious communication increasingly shifts from physical mosque spaces to real-time digital interaction, WhatsApp groups have become important arenas for announcements, religious learning, fundraising, social coordination, and collective deliberation. However, this communicative expansion also increases the risks of misinformation, emotional escalation, over-forwarding, and symbolic harm within religious communities. Using a qualitative approach with a netnographic design combined with a multi-site case study, this research explores how tabayyun, hikmah, mau’izhah hasanah, and dialogical ethics are represented and operationalized in everyday digital interactions among mosque communities. The study is theoretically grounded in Islamic communication ethics, Qur’anic principles, Habermas’s communicative action theory, and McQuail’s media convergence framework. The findings conceptually show that mosque WhatsApp groups should not be treated merely as channels of information exchange, but as ethical communication ecosystems that require verification practices, empathetic reasoning, transparent moderation, and dignified discourse. The role of admins emerges as especially crucial in shaping discussion quality, conflict mediation, and the legitimacy of collective decisions. This study contributes both theoretically and practically by offering an operational framework for Islamic digital communication and by proposing communication governance tools such as verification checklists, polite clarification scripts, decision-summary formats, and moderation guidelines to strengthen public benefit, social trust, and the dignity of all congregants in digital religious communities.

Abstract

Kegiatan penguatan nilai aqidah dan kepedulian sosial di lingkungan perguruan tinggi memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk karakter mahasiswa dan masyarakat. Namun, implementasi kegiatan spiritual dan sosial sering dilakukan secara terpisah sehingga dampaknya belum optimal. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengintegrasikan penguatan nilai aqidah dan kepedulian sosial melalui Tabligh Akbar dan Bakti Sosial pada momentum Isra Mi’raj yang diselenggarakan oleh STIE Ganesha. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi dokumentasi, pelaksanaan tausiyah keagamaan, penyaluran bantuan sosial, serta observasi kegiatan. Hasil menunjukkan tingginya partisipasi masyarakat dengan jumlah peserta sekitar 1.000 orang dalam kegiatan Tabligh Akbar serta penyaluran bantuan sosial berupa sembako kepada sekitar 1.000 penerima manfaat. Selain itu, kegiatan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman nilai keislaman seperti taubat, pentingnya lingkungan yang baik, serta meningkatnya kepedulian sosial masyarakat. Luaran kegiatan berupa peningkatan kesadaran spiritual, kepedulian sosial, serta terjalinnya hubungan yang lebih erat antara kampus dan masyarakat. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model pengabdian masyarakat yang terintegrasi dan berkelanjutan

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of external funding and product innovation on entrepreneurial business growth. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach. This research was conducted over a two-month period spanning from May to June of 2023. The results showed that external funding plays a significant role in supporting entrepreneurial business growth. Funds obtained from external sources, such as venture investment or bank loans, enable entrepreneurial ventures to expand operations, increase production, and develop market share. In addition, product innovation also has a positive influence on the growth of entrepreneurial ventures. Companies that are able to produce innovative new products or services can attract new customers, increase customer loyalty, and increase revenue. The limitations of this study are the limited data available in the research period and the focus on entrepreneurial companies in one particular sector. The implication of this study is that it is important for entrepreneurs to consider external funding as a potential source of financing and also encourage product innovation as a strategy to achieve sustainable business growth.
