Abstract

Stress and fatigue related to workplace may interrupt with the effectivity and productivity workers, including the employees who work in the office. This research aims to determine the level of stress and fatigue related to workplace and to describe determinant factors invloved in job stress and musculosceletal fatigue. It is designed as an analytical survey, designed as cross sectional approach. Population were the employees of Yogyakarta State University, samples were taken with purposive sampling technique. The respondents were they who fulfilled the inclusion criteria. Job stress and fatigue were taken with observation and structured intervie, using adapted instrument from Berutu Soetopo (2010) and Andininsari (2009). Musculosceletal fatigue were measured with nordic body map method. Other paramater included anthropometry and ergonometry measurement and individual characteristics. The finding shows that most respondents (95%) suffered mild job stress and more than half of respondents (73%) had mild musculosceletal fatigue. About 60% of workplace facilities were not suitable according to ergonomic requirement. Determinant factors for job stress such as age, employment status and workplace ergonometry, while determinant factors for musculosceletal fatigue includes age body mass index and also ergonometry. Keywords: workplace, stress, fatigue, musculosceletal

Abstract

Kegiatan penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) perbedaan status personal healthbehavior antara mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Biologi pria dan wanita, (2) perbedaan statuspersonal health behavior antara mahasiswa prodi Pendidikan Biologi dan Biologi, dan (3) faktorfaktorpendukung dan penghambat apa sajakah yang mewarnai personal health behaviormahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Biologi.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Survei Analitik model Cross Sectional. Penelitimencoba menggali bagaimana dan mengapa fenomena kesehatan masyarakat itu terjadi denganpendekatan point time approach. Berdasar batasan tersebut maka penelitian ini berusahamenggali fenomena Personal Health Behavior mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Biologi FMIPAUniversitas Negeri Yogyakarta, baik prodi Biologi maupun Pendidikan Biologi. Berdasarkan skoryang diperoleh melaui pengisian Personal Health Inventory, dapat ditentukan tingkat perilakukesehatan responden atau status risiko kesehatan mereka. Selain hal tersebut juga dilacakfaktor-faktor yang mewarnai Personal Health Behavior responden untuk melihat keterkaitan antarfaktor maupun faktor penentu utama terhadap tingkat perilaku kesehatan responden. Sebagaicontoh, keterkaitan antara faktor individu, faktor lingkungan intrinsik dengan ekstrinsik, sertafaktor predisposisi dan predileksi terhadap profil perilaku kesehatan responden.Dalam penelitian ini dapat ditarik beberapa simpulan : (1) tidak ada perbedaan status PHBantara mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Biologi pria dan wanita, sebagian besar mereka berisikosedang, (2) tidak ada perbedaan status PHB antara mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Biologi Biologi sebagian besar mereka berisiko sedang, dan (3) Faktor-faktor yang mewarnai PHBmahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Biologi meliputi riwayat kesehatan, pola asuh, dan psikososial.Kata kunci: Personal Health Behavior, Personal Health Inventory

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui struktur histopatologi jantung mencit yang diberi sari buah salak (Salacca edulis,  R) dan diet lemak hewani dan untuk mengetahui struktur histopatologi hati mencit yang diberi sari buah salak (Salacca edulis,  R) dan diet lemak hewani. Penelitian ini mengguanakan metode penelitian eksperimen dengan tujuan untuk mengukur respon yang muncul dari suatu obyek sebagai akibat adanya perubahan suatu faktor yang mengenainya. Tempat penelitian dilakukan di Animal House Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta dan pengamatan preparat dilakukan di laboratorium Zoologi Fakultas MIPA Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, selama kurun waktu bulan Juni sampai Oktober 2015. Variabel penelitian bebas berupa sari buah salak, sedangkan variabel tergayut yaitu gambaran histopatologi hati meliputi kerusakan batas sel dan infiltrasi sel lemak dan diameter vena sentralis sedangkan jantung meliputi kerusakan endotel dan infiltrasi sel lemak. Data dianalis secara deskriptif untuk menyajikan sebaran frekuensi. Keterkaitan antar variabel tersebut disajikan dalam format tabel silang dan dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menyatakan (1) Struktur histopatologi pembuluh darah jantung mencit yang diberi sari buah (Salacca edulis, R) dan diet lemak hewani mengalami kerusakan endotel dan infiltrasi lemak lebih kecil dibandingkan struktur histopatologi pembuluh darah jantung pada mencit yang diberi tambahan diet lemak; (2) Struktur histopatologi sel hepar mencit yang diberi sari buah salak (Salacca edulis, R) dan diet lemak hewani mengalami kerusakan endotel dan infiltrasi lemak lebih banyak dibandingkan struktur histopatologi sel hepar pada mencit yang diberi tambahan diet lemak.Kata kunci: buah salak, lemak, histopatologi, hepar, jantung Abstract This study aims to study the structure of the heart histopathologic and the liver of white rat given the Salacca edulis, R extract and animal fat diet. This research used experimental research with the aim to measure the response of an object that appears as a result of the change in a factor that is about it. Place of research did in animal house of Yogyakarta State University and observation of preparations did in the laboratory of biological, faculty of mathematics and natural science, at Yogyakarta State University during the months of June to October 2015. Independent study variables such as salacca edulis, R extract, while the dependent variable is the description of liver histopathology includes damaged cells and fat cell infiltration, while the heart includes endothelial damage and infiltration of fat cells. Data were analyzed descriptively to present the frequency distribution, Linkages between these variables are presented in table format and analyzed with cross descriptive statistics. The results are (1) the structure of the heart histopathologic white rat given salacca edulis, R extract and animal fat diet have endotel defect and fat infiltration less than structure of the heart histopahologic white rat given animal fat diet. (2) the structure of the liver histopathologic white rat given salacca edulis, R extract and animal fat diet have endotel defect and fat infiltration more  than structure of the heart histopahologic white rat given animal fat diet.Keywords: Salacca edulis, R, fat, histopathology, liver, heart

Abstract

The aims of this study was to investigate the effect of medium with different pH (6,7,9), salt concentration (0,5; 1; 2 %) and fermentation periode (24 and 48 hr) to the antimicrobial activity of cell free extract to three pathogens, Eschericia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and Candida albican. This study consists of antimicrobial compounds production with different medium and continued by antimicrobial tested to fungi and bacterial pathogens Eschericia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and Candida albican by Kirby Bauer  method with paper disk. Different salt concentration, pH and fermentation periode affected the  antimicrobial activity potency of cell free extract yielded by thermophylic bacteria. Treatment which yielded CFE with the best antimicrobial activity was treatment with 24 hr fermentation, pH 7 and salt concentration 2% to S aureus and pH 6 salt concentration 1% to E coli. Cell free extract had no potency as antifungi to Candida albicans except CFE yielded by thermophylic bacteria fermented in medium with pH 7 and salt concentration 1% in 24 hr with inhibition zone index 1,17. Keywords: cell free extract, antimicrobial, pH, salt concentration, fermentation period

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the protein and ferrum consumption with the requirement nutrition and to study their relation with haemoglobin (Hb) concentration  of UNY students, through cross sectional model with applying point time approach. The samples are UNY students taken from incidental technic. The food consumption pattern measured by food frequency instrument while the consumption level was measured by recall diet method. Hb concentration was determined using sahli method. The height and body weight were also collected to complete the data. The descriptive analysis and product moment correlation of the data resulted 95% significancy level. The 91,4% respondents showed the low protein consumption and all samples (100%) indicated low ferrum consumption. The correlation between protein and ferrum with Hb concentration provided a 95% significancy level. Keywords: protein, ferrum, haemoglobin
