Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru di SMP Negeri 15 Tanjung Jabung Timur serta faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Subjeknya adalah kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah dan guru. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Sedangkan uji keabsahan data menggunakan Triangulasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) Upaya kepala sekolah untuk meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru ialah: (a) Pengayaan wawasan, (b) Memberikan motivasi, (c) Menerapkan disiplin. 2) Faktor penghambat yaitu: (a) sulit mengakses internet, (b) terdapat beberapa orang guru yang mengajarkan bukan pada keahliannya, (c) kurangnya minat guru mengembangkan potensinya. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut disarankan agar kepala sekolah lebih kreatif dalam meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru.

Abstract

This decision-making training for students as potential future leaders was held at SMKN 1 Tanjabtim, Jambi Province, where the address is Jemantan, Muara Sabak Barat District, East Tanjung Jabung Regency, Jambi Province, 36561. The aim is for students to have strong motivation and self-confidence to lead yourself so that you can accept leadership responsibilities in a larger organization in the future and practice decision making as appropriate. The method consists of lectures, both small and large, then simulations, individual and classical approaches. In this mentoring, all participants will be trained to work both individually and in groups.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana upaya kepala sekolah dalam menegakkan disiplin kerja guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat enam upaya kepala sekolah dalam menegakkan disiplin kerja guru antara lain: memberikan motivasi, menjadi teladan bagi guru, sengaja membuat peraturan, melakukan pengawasan, memberikan arahan atau sanksi, dan memberikan penghargaan. Kendala yang dihadapi kepala sekolah dalam menegakkan disiplin kerja guru adalah kendala karena faktor sosial, kejenuhan guru, dan jarak ke sekolah yang cukup jauh. Solusi yang diberikan kepala sekolah adalah dengan selalu mengingatkan guru tentang kedisiplinan, melakukan pembinaan terhadap guru, memberikan teguran atau sanksi kepada guru yang persentase kehadirannya rendah, kesepakatan kemampuan disiplin kerja bagi guru yang cukup jauh. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa disarankan kepada kepala sekolah untuk lebih meningkatkan upayanya dalam mendisiplinkan guru, dengan cara lebih sering memberikan motivasi, melakukan pengawasan secara terus menerus, tegas dalam memberikan teguran atau sanksi dan lebih meningkatkan pemberian penghargaan kepada guru.

Abstract

Data merupakan fondasi utama dalam penelitian karena kualitas dan ketepatannya memengaruhi validitas dan akurasi temuan. Pengumpulan dan analisis data yang cermat sangat penting untuk menghasilkan penelitian yang bermakna. Tantangan dalam memilih dan mengumpulkan data relevan berkisar pada ketersediaan, kualitas, dan kesesuaian data dengan tujuan penelitian. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman komprehensif mengenai perbedaan antara data primer, sekunder, dan tersier, serta bagaimana masing-masing jenis data memengaruhi proses penelitian. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dengan pendekatan kualitatif, yang melibatkan pengumpulan, pencatatan, dan pengelolaan referensi dari berbagai sumber literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa data primer menawarkan informasi yang paling relevan dan akurat, data sekunder memudahkan akses dan efisiensi biaya, sementara data tersier memberikan konteks tambahan. Kesimpulannya, memahami perbedaan ketiga jenis data ini memungkinkan peneliti untuk memilih dan memanfaatkan sumber data dengan tepat, sehingga meningkatkan kualitas, validitas, dan relevansi hasil penelitian.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran latar belakang penelitian dalam pengembangan kerangka teoritis melalui kajian literatur. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kepustakaan, mengumpulkan dan menganalisis informasi dari karya tulis ilmiah terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa latar belakang penelitian memberikan konteks yang penting dalam memahami masalah yang diteliti dan membantu peneliti dalam memilih teori yang relevan. Kajian literatur yang mendalam memungkinkan peneliti untuk mengidentifikasi teori-teori utama dan variabel yang relevan, serta menyusun kerangka teoritis yang koheren dan analitis. Namun, tantangan utama yang dihadapi termasuk kesulitan dalam menghubungkan latar belakang dengan teori yang relevan dan penggunaan referensi yang akurat. Identifikasi kesenjangan penelitian melalui kajian literatur menjadi kunci untuk mengatasi kesulitan ini dan memastikan kerangka teoritis yang dibangun dapat menjelaskan fenomena dengan lebih baik. Kesimpulannya, pengembangan kerangka teoritis yang solid memerlukan integrasi yang baik antara latar belakang penelitian dan kajian literatur, serta penanganan terhadap kesulitan yang mungkin muncul

Abstract

Penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya penggunaan data dalam penelitian pendidikan, baik data kualitatif maupun kuantitatif, untuk menghasilkan wawasan yang komprehensif. Data kualitatif memberikan pemahaman mendalam tentang konteks sosial dan pengalaman individu, sedangkan data kuantitatif memungkinkan analisis statistik yang objektif dan generalisasi hasil penelitian. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif serta studi pustaka (library research), yang mengkaji literatur terkait peran data dalam penelitian pendidikan. Penelitian ini menganalisis jenis-jenis data, perbedaan karakteristik antara data kualitatif dan kuantitatif, serta penerapannya dalam pengambilan keputusan di bidang pendidikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedua jenis data saling melengkapi dalam memberikan gambaran komprehensif terhadap fenomena pendidikan. Data kualitatif berguna untuk memahami pengalaman subjektif peserta didik, sedangkan data kuantitatif membantu dalam mengidentifikasi tren dan pola yang lebih luas. Dengan menggabungkan kedua pendekatan tersebut, pengambil keputusan dapat membuat kebijakan yang lebih inklusif, berbasis bukti, dan responsif terhadap kebutuhan peserta didik. Kesimpulannya, integrasi data kualitatif dan kuantitatif menjadi kunci dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan secara menyeluruh.

Abstract

Lack of Student Understanding of Quality Culture and Limited Information about Quality Culture available, makes it important for this service to increase student understanding of the importance of awareness of Quality Culture that will encourage massive contributions from all students to create quality schools that are in accordance with student potential. The method is aligned with the principles of developmental psychology, namely identification of needs, preparation of materials, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up. As a result, students are more open-minded to be able to understand quality and develop school quality starting from the development of their own potential.

Abstract

Education is currently a big challenge that cannot be ignored by any institution, including schools. SMA Negeri 3 Jambi City is one of the schools facing this challenge. In addition to ensuring sustainability, schools must also rethink their leadership approaches to align with national education goals and foster cohesive and unified teams of educators. Addressing these challenges requires thoughtful interventions from all angles. A leadership approach that encourages inclusiveness for all staff members is essential in fostering a strong sense of teamwork among teachers. Therefore, this research aims to explore the role of collaborative leadership in creating a cohesive team that can meet community expectations. Using a qualitative methodology with a focus on literature reviews, this research will examine how the collaborative leadership style of school principals contributes to the development of collaborative teams.

Abstract

Abstract: This thesis discusses the Analysis of Students' Motivation for Choosing Pesantren Al-Kinanah Jambi as an Arabic Language Learning Institution. With the problem of how students can be motivated to choose Al-Kinanah Jambi Islamic boarding school as an Arabic language learning institution, what are the factors that encourage students to choose Jambi's Al-Kinanah Islamic Boarding School as an Arabic language learning institution. This type of research is qualitative research, namely data obtained in the form of opinions, views or other expressions of thought obtained through interviews. While the method used is observation (observation), interviews, and documentation. While the sources of data in this study were obtained from the leadership of the Al-Kinanah Islamic Boarding School Jambi, TU staff and students. He made it as the object of the informant because the researcher said that they are competent to provide information or data that is closely related to the problem under study. Data was collected using observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis used is qualitative data analysis. Based on the results of this study, it shows that there are two factors that motivate students to choose Pesantren Al-Kinanah Jambi as an Arabic language learning institution (1) internal factors, namely factors that come from within the student without any coercion from others. From the results of interviews conducted by researchers with students at the Al-Kinanah Islamic Boarding School in Jambi, almost some of the students said that they chose to enter the pesantren of their own volition and not coercion from others. They think that by going to boarding school this will make them a better person, and they think that this Islamic boarding school has good religious knowledge and fun learning because they not only study religion but they can also learn general lessons such as science lessons, social studies and so on. (2) external factors, namely factors that come not from themselves but from input and encouragement from parents. From the results of interviews conducted by researchers to Al-Kinanah Jambi Islamic boarding school students, most of the students chose to enter the pesantren because of encouragement from their parents. With the aim of parents so that they can become children with noble character and there are those who supervise the activities they do during the Islamic boarding school. From the results of research conducted on April 15, 2021, the authors conclude that the motivation of students to choose the Al-Kinanah Jambi Islamic boarding school consists of two factors, namely internal factors and external factors. Internal factors are factors that come from within the students who wish to continue their education at the Al-Kinanah Jambi Islamic boarding school, with the aim of improving themselves and learning foreign languages ​​in the pesantren, namely English and Arabic. While external factors are factors that come from the encouragement and input of the family with the aim that their children can get good religious and moral education in the Al-Kinana Jambi Islamic boarding school.

Abstract

This research discusses the role of school principals in enchancing job satisfaction of administrative staff at SMAN 3 Batanghari. The aim of this research is to describe the actions taken by principals as well as the obstacles encountered by principals and the methods or solutions used by principals in their efforts to enhance job satisfaction of the administrative staff of SMAN 3 Batanghari school. The research method used is qualitative, involving the school principal, and head of administrative ffairs as respondents. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the research indicate that the at SMAN 3 Batanghari is quite positive, looking by job, salary, colleagues, superiors, advancement and working environment in SMAN 3 Batanghari, The obstacles by school principals in increasing the job satisfaction of school administrative staff are the lack of qualified civil servant staff The solution by school principals improving the job satisfaction of the administrative staff of SMAN 3 Batanghari is empower the community and the grad education with professional qualifications in the field of management. The school controls the management and using of available resources in the school, and enhances training to improve the skills of administrative staff
