Abstract

Ukhuwah is a rope between two fraternal people or more. In this case it means mutual, mutual respect, and appreciate each other help. The most important of ukhuwah is ukhuwah Islamiyah. Ukhuwah Islamiyah means brotherhood among fellow Muslims. This fraternity based on creed or faith by someone. The Islamic community played an important role in realizing peace, because peace is essentially a key staple in Islamic teachings.

Abstract

This study aims to provide several exposures and indicators regarding student perceptions of autonomous learning in increasing the students’ language capacity. In addition, this research is expected to be able to describe several views and in-depth efforts of the participants in increasing their language capacity independently. Mixed-Method was utilized in this study in order to enrich the data both quantitative and qualitative. As a result, the data generated can be more comprehensive in exploring the problem. For quantitative data, the questionnaire was adopted from Khem Raj Joshi (2011) which includes: learner awareness, self-effort, broader autonomous activities, self- esteem, use of reference materials, motivation, and use of technology in learning. Furthermore, for qualitative data, the interview was gathered in order to know the students' arguments related to their reason for being autonomous learners based on the questionnaire. The result of the study found that students have a high level of autonomy in the use of technology in learning. Vice versa, the students categorize as a low level of autonomy based on the indicator of motivation in which they are seldom to give the reward for themselves.

Abstract

This decision-making training for students as potential future leaders was held at SMKN 1 Tanjabtim, Jambi Province, where the address is Jemantan, Muara Sabak Barat District, East Tanjung Jabung Regency, Jambi Province, 36561. The aim is for students to have strong motivation and self-confidence to lead yourself so that you can accept leadership responsibilities in a larger organization in the future and practice decision making as appropriate. The method consists of lectures, both small and large, then simulations, individual and classical approaches. In this mentoring, all participants will be trained to work both individually and in groups.

Abstract

This study aimed to research the current problems faced by English teachers in senior high schools in Indonesia in applying authentic assessment for reading skills. In the 21st century, learning language focuses on creating students’ skills and critical literacy, communication, collaboration, and creativity to survive in this world. To achieve those aspects, Emancipated Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka) provides an authentic assessment that reflects learners’ real competencies, such as attitudes, knowledge, and skills. Emancipated Curriculum class emphasizes that teachers use authentic assessment to assess the process and results of teaching and learning activities. Furthermore, this study is a qualitative method with a case study approach. This study concerned three (3) English teachers who have used authentic assessment in the classroom. In collecting data, the researcher used documentation, observation, and interviews. In this study, the observation data is in the form of the implementation Emancipated Curriculum in the teaching and learning process by English teachers in class. The researcher made observations regarding the implementation of the Emancipated Curriculum such as the way teachers teach, student activities, and methods used by teachers in the teaching and learning process. Interviews were also used as data for this study. The researcher wrote down the results of the interview in English in the form of words from the explanation results. From the results of data analysis can be concluded that all English teachers in those schools already implemented authentic assessments. They faced several problems in implementing authentic assessment for reading skills, such as students’ lack of vocabulary, teachers’ lack of knowledge about authentic assessment, and limited time allocation. This study is hoped to give beneficial information related to the implementation of authentic assessment for reading skills.

Abstract

This study investigates lecturers' perspectives on Jambi University's implementation of Project-Based Learning (PjBL). The study underlines the significance of PjBL in improving student engagement, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, as well as the growing demand for creative teaching strategies in light of the digital transformation of the twenty-first century. Using a qualitative case study approach, the study collected data from 11 lecturers across different language education programs through observations and interviews. Key findings indicate that PjBL is perceived as an effective, student-centered learning method that fosters collaboration and practical problem-solving. The lecturers highlighted the relevance of projects to real-world issues and emphasized the importance of collaboration between students and faculty. Challenges in implementing PjBL were noted, particularly in training, resources, and shifting from traditional teaching methods. Overall, the study reveals that while lecturers recognize the benefits of PjBL, there is a need for ongoing support to maximize its potential in higher education.

Abstract

Self-regulated learning has been believed by several studies as one of the determinants of successful learning characterized by good academic performance. In fact, many learners are not able to regulate themselves optimally to stay motivated and consistent in learning. Therefore, this study aims to explore the influence of seven dimensions of learning environment on students' self-regulated learning. A cross-sectional research design was used in this study. Data were obtained from 419 4th semester students using a questionnaire packaged in the form of googleform. Data analysis in this study used Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The findings in this study are involvement, investigation, task orientation, cooperation and equity have little effect on students' self-regulated learning. Meanwhile, lecture support and student cohesiveness proved to have no influence. Therefore, a learning environment that is able to create involvement, investigation, task orientation, cooperation and equity in the classroom learning process plays an important role in developing students' self-regulated learning ability.  These findings certainly provide a strong empirical basis for educational institutions to design appropriate interventions, develop relevant curricula, and create a conducive academic atmosphere to equip students with essential skills as adaptive lifelong learners who are ready to face global challenges.

Abstract

KurikulumMandiri, yang diluncurkan oleh Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi (Kemendikbudristek) Indonesia pada tahun 2022, bertujuan untuk mengatasi dampak pandemi COVID-19 terhadap pendidikan dengan menempatkan siswa sebagai pusat proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini mengkaji persepsi guru dalam menerapkan Kurikulum Merdeka di dua Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) melalui metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan dokumentasi dengan dua narasumber guru dari SMA A dan SMA B. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran kepala sekolah dan komite pembelajaran sangat penting dalam perencanaan dan pelaksanaan kurikulum. Selain itu, sarana dan prasarana pendukung yang memadai serta keterlibatan aktif dalam Platform Merdeka Mengajar (PMM) menjadi faktor penting dalam mendukung implementasi kurikulum. Namun, guru menghadapi beberapa kendala, seperti kesulitan dalam mengintegrasikan mata pelajaran ke dalam proyek dan tantangan manajemen waktu. Penelitian ini menggarisbawahi perlunya dukungan dan pelatihan yang lebih baik bagi guru untuk mengatasi hambatan ini dan memastikan keberhasilan implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka. Kesimpulannya, pemahaman yang mendalam tentang perspektif guru dapat membantu dalam membuat kebijakan pendidikan lebih efektif dan relevan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas peran guru penggerak dalam implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka di SMA Negeri 11 Muaro Jambi. Kurikulum Merdeka adalah inisiatif pendidikan yang bertujuan untuk memberikan kebebasan dan fleksibilitas kepada sekolah dalam mengembangkan kurikulum sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa dan konteks lokal. Guru penggerak berperan sebagai agen perubahan yang memimpin dan menginspirasi guru- guru lainnya untuk berinovasi dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif . Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru penggerak di SMA Negeri 11 Muaro Jambi memainkan peran kunci dalam beberapa aspek penting, yaitu: 1) mengembangkan dan mengimplementasikan strategi pembelajaran yang inovatif dan kreatif, 2) meningkatkan kompetensi profesional melalui program pelatihan dan workshop, 3) membangun budaya kolaboratif di antara para guru, dan 4) mendorong partisipasi aktif siswa dalam pembelajaran. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka sangat bergantung pada peran aktif dan kepemimpinan guru penggerak. Rekomendasi penelitian ini mencakup perlunya dukungan berkelanjutan dari pihak sekolah dan pemerintah dalam bentuk pelatihan, sumber daya, dan kebijakan yang mendukung peran guru penggerak. Dengan demikian, implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka dapat berjalan efektif dan memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan kualitas pendidikan di SMA Negeri 11 Muaro Jambi.

Abstract

  ABSTRAK Penelitian ini membahas tentang persepsi guru dalam penggunaan media pembelajaran di era Kurikulum Merdeka pada tingkat Sekolah Menengah Atas Kota Jambi. Kurikulum Merdeka memberikan kebebasan kepada guru untuk berinovasi dalam metode pengajaran, yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dan mendukung pembelajaran yang lebih relevan dengan kebutuhan zaman. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, yang melibatkan wawancara dan dokumentasi terhadap guru di dua SMA di Jambi. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran sangat penting dalam mendukung proses belajar mengajar, namun beberapa kendala seperti keterbatasan waktu, ketersediaan teknologi, dan jaringan internet yang tidak stabil seringkali menghambat penggunaannya. Untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut, diperlukan pelatihan dan dukungan berkelanjutan terhadap guru. Penelitian tersebut memberikan rekomendasi kebijakan pendidikan dan program pelatihan yang dapat mendukung guru dalam mengoptimalkan penggunaan media pembelajaran sehingga tujuan Kurikulum Merdeka dapat tercapai dengan lebih efektif.

Abstract

Abstract: This thesis discusses the Experience of Arabic Teachers in Overcoming Online-Based Learning Problems at Islamic Senor High School 1 Jambi City. Teacher experience is an event that has happened to a teacher so that from that experience can be taken lessons and conclusions and for teachers can be a reference in teaching. From the existence of experience, there will be a good learning process. This research aims to find out how the experience of Teachers of Arabic Islamic Senor High School 1 Jambi City in overcoming problems in carrying out the teaching and learning process at Islamic Senor High School1 Jambi City and know the efforts made by Arabic teachers. This research is descriptive qualitative research using observation, interviews and documentation in data collection techniques. While the data analysis techniques used are data reduction, presentation of conclusion drawing data. The data validity technique used is triangulation.
