Abstract

Tagline dalam sebuah iklan kampanye adalah suatu pesan singkat yang merupakan tanda atau symbol yang menandakan atau membedakan kandidat calon kepala daerah yang satu dengan yang lainnya dalam sebuah pilkada. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui strategi pembentukan dan makna yang terkandung dalam tagline “Akar-Super” dan “Lhd-Azas” yang digunakan oleh para kandidat pada pemilihan Bupati dan Wakil Bupati Soppeng tahun 2015, serta penelitian ini juga kemudian untuk mengetahui pendapat tim sukses dan anggota masyarakat tentang kedua tagline tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode kualitatif. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pembentukan tagline Lhd-Azas cukup efektif dimana pesannya mengarah pada kewajiban moral melalui doa, pencitraan positif, dan pertemanan. Sementara tagline Akar-Super (Insya Allah Wettunnani) sebagai tagline yang sangat populer dan mudah diingat dalam positioning slogan politik oleh masyarakat dan difilosofikan sebagai akar tumbuhan yang kuat dan kokoh. Pesannya juga mengandung makna balas budi dan pencitraan positif.

Abstract

AbstractThe use of humor in da'wah of Islamic communication is something that is widely practiced by some preachers whether it is through religious pulpits or through the internet media called social media, humor is aimed to attract the attention of the audiences and be a part that is always awaited by the audiences in da’wah even though in fact, humor is only a complement in an Islamic da’wah, which is nothing else but to get attention from the audiences. However, the use of humor in the da'wah of Islamic communication sometimes backfires for those who do not pay attention to the standard criteria of humor such as ethical and aesthetic. Thus, based on the results of the analysis of the author that the use of humor in da’wah of Islamic communication is permissible and it becomes a good way as long as the preacher observes that in slipping his humor, he does not forget the propriety set out in the Qur'an and hadith. Keywords: humor, da’wah, Islamic communication

Abstract

The advance of communication and information technology nowadays have contributed to a major impact on social life in the global world, one of them is the activity of communicating on the internet. The tendency and habit of communicating using the internet sometimes makes netizens forget the ethics in communicating and speak as they want, making rude comments, verbal abuse, bullying, blaspheming, and even offending the SARA (Ethnicity, Religion, Race, and Intergroup). From this phenomenon, this study aims to focus at the communication ethics the internet. This study employed a Library Research which is descriptively explained. The results of the study report that good ethics in communicating on the internet is very vital to maintain human relationships and survival among other humans. Therefore, there are some ethics in communicating on internet that we need to understand, such as considering about the good and bad impacts before sending messages on the internet, Using polite language, Having mutual respect in communicating on internet. Therefore, when communicating on internet, it must maintain good ethics and be wiser in using the internet so as to create harmony and happiness in social, national, and state life.

Abstract

AbstractThe development of communication technology facilitate the community, for instance the social media Tik Tok. It can be a popular social media in community which is loved and used by various groups. Social media Tik Tok is a video sharing application that provides various interesting facilities of video and music effects, it can relieve stress, boredom and the users can also develop their talents and creativity. From this phenomenon researcher interested to overview Tik Tok from Islamic perspective. This study employed descriptive literature study. The results of the study clarified that Tik Tok on Islam's perpective is a good social media to be used to establish friendship, providing information and socialization and as entertainment. However, it also has negative impact including addiction in using Tik Tok, the close behavior on sex and pornography that can vitiate the morals for its users. Therefore, the Tik Tok users have to be wiser in using that social media. Keywords: Social media; Tik Tok Application; Islam.

Abstract

The social media is a new means of communication that is widely used in today's modern era, with the features that can provide comfort and convenience in its use and at an affordable cost and even provided for free. There are positive and negative impacts caused by the social media, therefore, the researchers are interested in finding out how to understand communication and social media in order to adapt to the changes that occur in today's modern era. The research method employed is in the form of a descriptive literature review, containing theories and relevant concepts to the research problem. It can be concluded that one way to adapt with social media is based on self-awareness and ethics in communicating both in commenting, opinionating, and conveying information, and strengthening rules regarding the use of social media in order to achieve good communication goals.

Abstract

Digital media is a necessity that always accompanies family activities, this has also become a new habit in family environment in the new normal era and also to adapt to the technological developments and developing communication situations. This phenomenon reinforces that media literacy in family is something that is crucial to be an attention for parents in protecting the family from the consequences that can be caused by the use of digital media which can damage the children’s life and adolescents in family. Hence, the role of parents is needed, such as: (1) Parents have to monitor children's activities so they feel their parents' attention. (2) Parents can play with children while directing children to open content that is useful for their learning development. (3) Parents can provide time limits for children in using digital media to avoid the dangers of addiction. So the negative impacts that can damage the psychology and behavior of children in family such as content that leads to violence, pornography, and cyberbullying as well as foreign cultural influences can be avoided and the positive impacts of digital media can be used well by children.

Abstract

This research examines the media consumption pattern and preferences among young adults, emphasizing the importance of udnerstanding their engagement with media. Using a survey methid, the data were taken from 50 respondents by considering specific criteria of young adults. The data were taken by using questionnaire through a close-ended questionnaire. the findings reveal that young adults engage with various media platforms, with streaming services and social media being the most popular choices. They spend a significant amount of time consuming media content, primarily in the range of 2-4 hours per day. The preferred media genres include entertainment, music, news, sports, and lifestyle, among others. Infuencers on the media also plays significant role in shaping the attitude and behavior of young adults.

Abstract

Fenomena yang terjadi saat ini bahwa masih adanya mahasiswa mengabaikan etika sopan santun yang sudah tertanam sejak dulu yang menjadi dasar bagi kehidupan perkuliahan. Oleh karena itu, penulis tertarik untuk melakukan penelitian etika komunikasi antara mahasiswa dan dosen dalam interaksi akademik melalui media digital. Adapun jenis penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan trigulasi berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Adapun teori yang digunakan yakni teori strategi kesopanan Brown dan Levinson. Hasil penelitian menggambarkan bahwa Mahasiswa dan Dosen pada Prodi Komunikasi dan Penyiaran Islam masing-masing menyadari tentang pentingnya penerapan etika dalam berkomunikasi melalui media digital, dan Mahasiswa sebagian besar sudah berperilaku sopan dan beretika dalam menghubungi dosen melalui media sosial, berdasarkan teori strategi kesopanan Brown dan Levinson yakni mahasiswa menggunakan konsep wajah negatif (negative face) dengan menyampaikan permohonan maaf, dan menggunakan pesan permintaan dan ancaman (FTA) disertai dengan kesopanan negatif. Namun masih terdapat beberapa Mahasiswa yang kurang beretika dalam menyampaikan pesan chat kepada Dosen melalui media sosial seperti menghubungi dosen pada waktu istirahat dan hari libur, penggunaan kalimat yang seakan-akan memerintah Dosen dan tidak menyebutkan identitas dan tujuan yang lengkap dan jelas. Adapun Upaya yang dilakukan Dosen dalam memaksimalkan etika komunikasi Mahasiswa seperti memberikan informasi berupa himbauan dan arahan tentang cara berkomunikasi yang baik melalui media sosial serta menegur secara langsung Mahasiswa jika menyampaikan pesan yang kurang etis atau kurang sopan kepada Dosen melalui media sosial. Kata Kunci: Etika Komunikasi, interaksi akademik, media digital.

Abstract

This research discusses the framing of issues carried out by the online media cnnindonesia.com in reporting on the increase in fuel prices officially announced by President Joko Widodo. The aim of this research is to analyze the issue framing strategy used by cnnindonesia.com in packaging news about fuel price increases. This type of research is qualitative research using media text analysis techniques in the form of Robert N. Entman's framing model analysis of 18 news stories released by cnnindonesia.com on Saturday 3 September 2022. The results of the research show that the issue framing strategy used by cnnindonesia.com is in its reporting. provides a definition of the problem as a global economic problem and has an impact on social problems. An increase in the APBN is the cause of problems and places the government as an actor or source of problems. The moral decision was framed from the president's statement that it was difficult to make a decision regarding the increase in fuel prices and constructed the repressive actions of members of the National Police against demonstrators. Presenting a solution to the problem by framing a political narrative battle between the government and the opposition and explaining that the National Police Chief must be responsible for the repressive actions carried out by the police against students and workers in the action against the increase in fuel prices in all regions.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the conversation that transpired on Twitter following the Indonesia 2024 presidential election debate, with particular attention on the phrase "Ndasmu." To better comprehend the speech patterns and attitudes that surface in online interactions, this research use topic modeling and sentiment analysis. The following Twitter data collection steps are part of this research methodology: To retrieve relevant tweets, use the Tweepy library to access the Twitter API. Access can only be obtained using a Twitter API key. Pre-processing Text: Eliminating superfluous characters, links, and mentions from the text data. Tokenizing text means breaking it up into individual words or phrases. eliminating stop words. Topic Modeling: Non-negative Matrix Factorization (NMF) or Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) are two methods used for topic modeling. Two well-liked Python packages for topic modeling are Scikit-learn and Gensim. Sentiment analysis can be done with TextBlob or NLTK. While TextBlob makes things easier, NLTK offers more customization options. Visualization: Producing word clouds for subjects and sentiment distribution, among other visual representations of the data, requires the use of tools like Matplotlib or Seaborn. It is anticipated that the study's findings would provide light on the prevailing themes in the "Ndasmu" discourse and the attitudes that accompanied the presidential debates. These findings can help us comprehend the dynamics of public opinion and how individuals react to important political occasions like debates for the presidential nomination.
