Abstract

Coffee is a popular drink nowadays because many people like it. However, farmers and coffee drinkers in Garut Regency face the problem of not having access to real-time information about the geographical location of coffee producers in the region. Therefore, this research aims to develop a Geographic Information System (GIS)-based system that can provide spatial information about coffee producing locations in Garut Regency more easily. The methodology used in this research is the Rational Unified Process (RUP) which consists of inception, elaboration and construction stages. In this stage, data modeling will be carried out using Unified Modeling Language (UML) and system testing using Black-Box Testing. The final result of this research is the success of developing a Geographic Information System (GIS) for mapping coffee producing locations in Garut Regency. This system can be accessed via the web and provides spatial information about the geographic location of coffee producers easily and accurately. Alpha testing using the black-box testing method has been carried out to test various features in the system. The test results show that all features in the system work well and as expected. This testing also helps identify and fix some potential issues before the system is fully rolled out. With this system, it is hoped that it can help increase efficiency in obtaining information about coffee producing locations in the region.

Abstract

A Geospatial System is a platform created specifically for the administration of data that contains spatial dimensions, or in the sense of a computer system that has the capability to build, store, manage and present location information. As a government agency, the Garut District Health Service is responsible for managing policies, circulating information, supervising and recording pharmacies in the Garut area. However, until now the Health Service has not been enriched with system facilities capable of assisting the Health Service in carrying out its functions. When monitoring pharmacies, the Health Service visits the pharmacy. However, in terms of conveying information related to the geolocation of pharmacies to the public, the Health Service still does not have a special system for disseminating information related to these locations. The aim of this research is to create a web-based geospatial platform to map pharmacies in Garut city using leafletjs. The method used in this research is Rational Unified Process (RUP), the stages are inception, elaboration, construction and transition. The modeling used is Unified Modeling Language (UML) with stages using use case diagrams, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams and class diagrams. The result of this research is to produce a geographical information system for mapping pharmacies which can make it easier for the Health Service to monitor, record and inform the locations of pharmacies in Garut City. After developing a web-based geospatial platform to map pharmacies in Garut City using the Js leaflet, this research also involved black box testing to ensure that the system was functioning properly and in accordance with the expected goals. The results of the black box testing show that the geographic information system for pharmacy mapping has successfully undergone a series of feasibility tests and is able to produce the expected results.

Abstract

The presence of Chatbots can assist humans in their everyday lives. Chat GPT is one of the commonly used Chatbots that humans rely on to support their work, serve as an assistant, or even create artistic works or writings. The purpose of this research is to investigate opinions regarding the presence of Chat GPT. This Opinion Mining method is conducted by crawling data from Twitter, which can be categorized into three opinions: Positive, Negative, or Neutral. To calculate the accuracy level of the model created, two algorithms, Naïve Bayes and K-Nearest Neighbour, are compared. The model validation process utilizes K-Fold Cross Validation by varying the value of k (k=2, k=4, k=6, k=8, and k=10) and different sampling methods, namely Linear, Shuffled, and Stratified, to obtain optimal accuracy values. The research results indicate that the K-Nearest Neighbour Algorithm achieves the highest accuracy value of 92.40%. Based on this comparison, the K-Nearest Neighbour Algorithm is deemed suitable for modeling Opinion Mining of Chat GPT. The distribution of Twitter users' opinion percentages regarding Chat GPT is as follows: Positive 9.4%, Negative 1.4%, and Neutral 89%. Neutral opinions dominate the results of the conducted Opinion Mining.Keyword : chat GPT, opinion mining, twitter

Abstract

The community service program aimed to enhance the competitiveness of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Garut Regency through the implementation of digital wallet technology. Addressing the challenges of market access and financial management faced by MSMEs, the program developed an application called MitraREID. This application was designed to assist MSMEs in managing transactions, recording expenses, generating financial reports, and optimizing product management. The implementation process included socialization, intensive training, application deployment, and technical assistance involving the UMKM community, Mikromega, in Garut. The results indicated a significant improvement in the MSMEs' ability to utilize digital technology for daily operations. The MitraREID application facilitated business management, enhanced transaction efficiency, and allowed MSMEs to structure their financial management more effectively. The program's impact was quantitatively measured by pre- and post-test scores, which showed an increase from an average of 79/100 before training to 99/100 after training. This significant improvement demonstrated the enhanced digital skills and understanding of participants in utilizing digital wallet technology to support their business operations, enabling them to compete more effectively in local and national markets.

Abstract

TK Persis Tarogong is one of the growing and developing educational institutions in the Garut district, especially in terms of technological development and school information. The author intends to contribute to the educational institution of TK Persis Tarogong by planning a web-based Parent Student and Teacher Association Information System, which aims to support the smooth learning process as well as assist parents in monitoring their children and obtaining information on POMG activities. This information system uses the RUP (Rational Unified Process) development method with the stages of Inception, Elabolation, Construction, and Transition. The system design used in this research is web-based using UML, the UML design built is Usecase Diagram, Squence Diagram, Activity Diagram and Class Diagram. The result of this research is a web-based information system that is expected to help parents and teachers at Persis Tarogong Kindergarten. The contribution of this research is that it can help TK Persis Tarogong in developing technology and school information.

Abstract

The advancement of information and communication technology (ICT) has had a significant impact on various sectors, including education. One of the latest innovations in this field is interactive multimedia-based educational games, which offer more engaging learning methods. In Garut Regency, West Java, the introduction of traditional musical instruments faces challenges due to limited access and teaching methods that are less appealing to elementary school students. To address this issue, this study proposes the development of an Android-based educational game application aimed at introducing traditional musical instruments of West Java, such as angklung, suling, calung, kecapi, rebab, jentreng, karinding, arumba, jengglong, and celempung. The application is developed using the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) methodology. It provides features to learn the shape and how to play each instrument, along with quizzes to assess students’ understanding. Previous studies have shown that educational games can increase interest and understanding of traditional culture through interactive approaches. This application is expected to be an effective solution to preserve and introduce traditional musical instruments to elementary school students, as well as to foster a sense of pride in their local culture. This research aims to contribute to the preservation of local culture by utilizing interactive multimedia technology and can serve as a reference for the development of similar educational applications in the future.

Abstract

Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge atau Tantangan Bebras merupakan suatu kegiatan kompetisi untuk mengukur kemampuan cara berpikir komputasi dengan cara menyelesaikan soal-soal mengenai computational thinking yang disajikan melalui uraian dengan disertai gambar yang menarik. Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Garut sebagai salah satu Biro dari Bebras Indonesia telah menyelenggarakan kegiatan ini sejak tahun 2016 hingga saat ini. Pada Tantangan tahun 2020 jumlah peserta Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge berjumlah 724 siswa yang terdiri dari 95 siswa Sekolah Dasar/MI, 313 siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama/MTs, 316 siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas/SMK/MA. Terdapat 42 sekolah yang mengikuti kegiatan Tantangan Bebras tahun 2020. Hasil kompetisi menunjukkan kemampuan berpikir komputasi pada siswa-siswa di Garut sudah cukup tinggi dengan pencapaian nilai 100 untuk kategori Sikecil dan 90,28 untuk kategori Siaga.

Abstract

Responding to the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Indonesian government implemented a series of policies, one of which is distance learning. This approach is expected to be able to minimize social interaction and reduce the number of positive cases of COVID-19. Although in its implementation distance learning is considered not optimal. Along with the development of information and communication technology. People find alternative social interactions through virtual communities. In an effort to optimize the potential of distance learning. Devotion is done to the virtual community who are people of education. The method used is in the form of input, problem solving and output stages through a series of webinars and dissemination of educational content through social media. Aiming to increase the productivity of education personnel during the COVID-19 pandemic. The conclusion results state that there has been an increase in capacity related to productivity in education personnel from what was very poor to very good.

Abstract

Globalization and the acceleration of technological advances have had such a significant impact in various fields. The presence of technology provides a new face for economic development and this becomes an opportunity and a big change for the system, process or economic actors themselves. Therefore it really needs counseling to help digitally literate people through digital literacy seminars with the theme «improving the economy and maintaining culture in the digital era» which will help, assist the community, for example in the use of common applications needed daily, the ethics of using technology wisely, maintaining culture in the digital era and so on, everything is explained in counseling on digital literacy.
