Abstract

Human resources is one factor that strategic and fundamental in the organization. The role of human resources will determine the success or failure of the organization in achieving its vision and mission that has been set. In order to determine the extent to which the presence, role and contribution of human resources in achieving organizational success, of course necessary performance measurement. Employee performance marketing can be seen from the achievement of sales targets, but there are employees who have not been able to realize a given target. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of organizational culture, career development and compensation to employee performance marketing division of PT. Nyonya Meneer Semarang. This study uses census sampling sampling techniques against 38 employees of the marketing department of PT. Nyonya Meneer Semarang. Collecting data in this study using a questionnaire and interviews. The data obtained were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively through validity and reliability test. While data analysis is done through a simple linear regression analysis, multiple linear regression, t-test and F test. The results of the study showed that there are significant positive and significant correlation between organizational culture, career development and compensation to employee performance marketing division of PT. Nyonya Meneer Semarang. Advice can be given is to further increase the focus on the variable compensation for the performance of employees is increasing.

Abstract

So far, unstable employee performance has been a problem for both small and largecompanies. One of the factors that affect the stability of performance is the level of selfefficacyowned by employees. By knowing how much employee confidence, it will be easierfor companies to develop performance improvement strategies. Therefore, the research wasconducted with the aim to find out how big the influence of self-efficacy, coaching andempowerment on employee performance on CV. Laxita Paramitha Semarang.Type of research used is eksplanatory research, with the samples of 43 respondentsusing saturated sampling approach. Data collection using questionnaire with Likertmeasurement scale. Data analysis method used is validity and reliability test, multiple linearregression test, classical assumption test, regression test, coefficient of determination(Adjusted R Square), significance of t test and F test, and cross tabulation. The resultsindicate that the variables of self-efficacy, coaching and empowerment each have asignificant and positive influence on employee performance.From the test results known for self-efficacy variable has a coefficient ofdetermination of 29.3% and T variable test of self-efficacy equal to t count 4,287> t table2,0195. Coefficient of determination for coaching variable equal to 68% and T variable testof coaching equal to t count 2,025> t table 2,0195. The coefficient of determination forempowerment variable is 30.3% and Test t empowerment variable t count 4.338> t table2.0195. Test F of F arithmetic 11,010> F table 3.2317 and free from the classicalassumption.The conclusion in this research is self-efficacy is the factor that most influence thework performance in the company, the application of good coaching and the willingness ofmanagement in giving empowerment. There is a positive and significant influence between allindependent variables on the dependent variable, either partially or simultaneously. As forsuggestions for the company is to pay more attention to employee competence, periodicevaluation of supervisor performance and better dialogue between management andemployees.

Abstract

The existence and achievement of an organization while gaining its goal is cannot be divorced from human resource factor. The aim of this research is to find out the influence of organizational culture and work motivation toward employee's performance through job satisfaction. The type of this research is explanatory research, while the techniques of collecting data are questionnaire and interview. The amount of sample in this research is sixty six respondents with sampling census technique. Likert Scale is used as measuring scale, The technique of quantitative analysis uses validity test, reliability test, correlation coefficient, simple and multiple regression analysis, determination coefficient, significance test (t test and F test), and path analysis. The result of this research shows that organizational culture (X1) and work motivation (X2), whether simultaneously or partially, influencing job satisfaction (Z) and employee's performance (Y). Based on path analysis result, the direct influence of organizational culture or work motivation toward employee's performance are bigger than indirect influence through job satisfaction. Based on these results, it is suggested that the company should improve the organizational culture including increasing employee motivation and giving reward to the employee in the form of direct honour of superiors, so that they can be proud of their work and encourage them to work more optimally.

Abstract

Presidential election in Indonesia considered as a big event which held in every 5 years. Presidential Election July 9 2014 is one of the important event in Indonesia and the capital market shows that there are some reactions of the event. This research aims to see how the reaction of capital market by looking at the differences of each three variabel in this research, they are bid ask spread, abnormal return, and trading volume activity before and after presidential election, July 9 2014. The research object is 45 companies which listed in LQ-45 Index period during February – July 2014. The observation period is 24 days which is 12 days before and after presidential election event at July 9 2014. This hypothesis test used paired sample t-test analysis. The result of this research shows that there is no significant differences beetween bid ask spread before and after presidential election, there is no significant differences beetween abnormal return before and after presidential election, and there is a significant differences beetween trading volume activity before and after presidential election.

Abstract

PT. Masscom Graphy Semarang in carrying out operational activities would want a good performance of the employees, especially the production. But this is not easy because of the employee's performance is influenced by many factors. Such factors include leadership, work environment, and employees' organizational commitment factor.This study aims to determine the effect of leadership, work environment, and organizational commitment on employee performance of newspaper print production PT. Masscom Graphy Semarang. This type of research is explanatory research, with data collection through a questionnaire, literature study and interviews. Testing is done to the newspaper print production employees with a population of 42 people use the census method.The results showed that the leadership (X1), work environment (X2), and organizational commitment (X3) partially or simultaneously affect employee performance (Y) portion newspaper print production. Leadership has the greatest influence in affecting the performance of the employees this can be proven through multiple regression test results stating that the leadership has contributed 64.4%. While the organization's commitment to have the smallest influence in affecting the performance of employees with a contribution of 10.9%.

Abstract

Nasmoco Pemuda Semarang is a private institution that is engaged in the automotive field and has several business areas, namely the sales of cars, sales of spare parts and maintenance or servicing section periodically, which is required to always serve the needs of customers by providing best services in order to increase quantity of cars which entrust PT. Nasmoco as a partner for servicing. However, in 2013 there was unachieved the target units in the section service. Moreover, Transformational Leadership that implemented by the head of section service had not been able to improve Work Discipline at PT. Nasmoco Pemuda Semarang, especially in servicing section.This study aims to determine the effects of Transformational Leadership, Organizational Culture, and Work Discipline toward the Employee Performance. This study uses census method with a sample of 70 employees that will be investigated. Data were analyzed through the validity, reliability, crosstab, product moment correlation, coefficient of determination, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, t test and F test.The result shows that Transformational Leadership has significant effect on the Employee Performance. Work Discipline has significant effect on the Employee Performance and Organizational Culture significantly influences the employee performance. Simultaneously, the Transformational Leadership, Discipline Work and Cultural Organization have significant effect on the Employee Performance. Based on the multiple regression test, the results of beta coefficient figures show 0.226, 0.271, and 0.421, for Transformational Leadership, Work Discipline, and Cultural Organization respectively. Organizational Culture provides the most impact on employee performance.Based on the research result, it suggested to improve Transformational Leadership could be executed by improving the ability of the leadership in getting closer to his employees. Moreover, the improvement of Work Discipline could be achieved by providing appreciation and improving control. The improvement of Organizational Culture could be performed by working more excited. Through of these, at PT. Nasmoco Pemuda Semarang Section Service, the expected level of performance of employees will increase.

Abstract

Every company needs the resources that have important influence to achieve success. Success in achieving the organization's goals came from the behavior of its own employees therefore the employees that make up the structure of the organization and take advantage of technology. Performance of the employee is influenced by several factors such as motivation, competence and Working Environment. Poor performance of the employee caused by low motivation, lack of competence and a poor working environment at PT. Wijaya Elnusa Semarang.This research uses explanatory type approach, against 50 respondents with sampling purposive technique. Data collection techniques in this study using the technique of collecting data through questionnaires and interviews. The analysis technique used is quantitative. Quantitative analysis using validity test, reliability test, cross tabulation, correlation coefficient, coefficient of determination, simple and multiple regression analysis, as well as the significance test (t test and F test) with the help of SPSS version 16.0 for Windows.The results of statistical analysis known partial influence between motivation on performance of the employee by 63.3%. Then competence to performance of the employee by -2.1%. while for the working environment on the performance of the employee by 18,4%. Simultaneous influence of the influence of motivation, competence and working environment on the performance of the employee is 80.5%, while 19.5% are influenced by other factors.Recommendations for improving the performance of employees to the company to increase its attention to the work motivation, competence and working environment which in turn will ultimately increase performance of the employee.

Abstract

Employee performance is one of the benchmarks in the business of a company to achieve its objectives. Employees play a role in carrying out various operations of the company which will affect the company's success in achieving its objectives. Organizational culture and organizational commitment has a role in improving the performance of employees. Moreover, Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) is one of the factors of employee performance. Therefore, three things need to be considered in improving employee performance by PT Masscom Graphy Semarang.         Type of this research is Explanatory Research. Samples are 127 respondents. Samples were taken using proportional random sampling technique. Data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively using a data collection instrument (questionnaire) was previously tested through validity and reliability test. Analyzing of data’s result using analysis of data tables, simple linear regression analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, F-test, path analysis, and Sobel test.         The results indicated that organizational culture and organizational commitment either partially or simultaneously significant on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) and Employee Performance. Based on calculations from sobel test and path analysis showed that Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) mediating organizational culture and organizational commitment to employee performance.

Abstract

Companies need to analyse the company's financial performance to determine the development of an enterprise through analysis of the company's financial statements that can be done using the method of measuring financial ratios. Assessment of financial performance shows the company generates a profit or not that assist investors in making investment decisions as a benchmark to determine the capital gain when the shares are sold. Investors as shareholders can use the stock return rate as a benchmark to see expectations of a stock at a certain time and prospects of the company in the next period and in the future. This study was conducted to examine the effect of variable Working Capital to Total Assets (WCTA), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Total Assets Turnover (TAT) and Net Profit Margin (NPM) on stock returns, either partially or simultaneously on transportation service sector companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2011-2013.             This research is an explanatory research with a total sample of 15 companies x 3 years = 45 observation data out of a total population of 22 companies through the purposive sampling selection. The analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis and hypothesis testing using t test partial, F test simultaneously with the level of significance of 5% and a determination coefficient test.             The analysis showed the data have fulfilled classical assumptions, including data normally distributed, no symptoms of multikolinearitas, there are no symptoms of autocorrelation and heteroscedasticity. Working Capital to Total Assets (WCTA) are categorized illikuid, Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) are categorized insolvable and Total Assets Turnover (TAT) of companies that are less efficient overall tend to pose a risk for the company. While Net Profit Margin (NPM) may be used by investors as a parameter to measure the performance of the company to predict stock returns. Regression results Net Profit Margin (NPM) is partially significant effect on stock returns. While the Working Capital to Total Assets (WCTA), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) and Total Assets Turnover (TAT) partially not significant effect on stock returns. Fourth variables used in this study (WCTA, DER, TAT and NPM) simultaneously affect the stock return of 13.2%. The variable that has the strongest influence is Net Profit Margin (NPM) with a regression coefficient of 0.349.                     The overall study results showed that the transport service sector companies listed on the Stock Exchange has less than the maximum financial performance which affects the rate of return to investors the stock return. Therefore, investors need to be cautious in making investments in company shares. We recommend that companies need to improve financial performance in the management of working capital, debt management, asset additions and the increased capacity of corporate profits, thereby increasing investor confidence as consideration of investment decision to invest in companies with the right.

Abstract

The background of the research is the growth of the retail business in Indonesia. It is shown by the number of new retail businesses that appear and compete within the market. Each company would want its business to survive, and to grow over the time and earn some profit, therefore, Gramedia Bookstore has to think of a way to stay survive and attract more customers. Specifically the research discusses about Gramedia Pandanaran Semarang Bookstore which within 2011 – 2013 has had decreasing number of customers to do transaction. Should the condition remain and is not overcome, it is highly likely that there will be bigger problem for Gramedia Pandanaran Semarang Bookstore. The objective of the research is to recognize the influence of store planning, merchandising, and product variationtowards the purchasing decision in Gramedia Pandanaran Semarang Bookstore. The type of the research is explanatory, using data collecting technique of questionnaire and interview. Sampling technique is non-probability sampling using Purposive Sampling. The sample is 100 customers of Gramedia Pandanaran Semarang Bookstore who had purchased at least twice. The research uses qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Quantitative analysis uses validity test, reliability test, correlation coefficient, simple and multiple linear regression analysis, determination coefficient, significance test (t test and f test). The result of the research shows that entirely Store Planning influences the Purchasing Decision with beta coefficient value of 0.555 and determination coefficient for variable Store Planning (X1) contributes 30.1% towards the variable of Purchasing Decision and the remaining 69.9% is explained by other factor other than variable Store Planning. There an influence between Merchandising towards Purchasing Decision with beta coefficient value of 0.530 and determination coefficient for variable Merchandising (X2) contributes 27.3% towards Purchasing Decision variable (Y) and the remaining 72.7% is explained by other factors other than variable Merchandising. There is an influence between Product Variety and the Purchasing Decision with the value of coefficient beta. Of 0.525 and the determination coefficient for Product Variety variable (X3) contributes 26.8% towards purchasing decision and the remaining 73.2% is explained by other factor other than Product Variety variable. The conclusion of the research is that between Store Planning and Merchandising and Product Variation has positive and significant influence towards Purchasing Decision. It suggeststhat Gramedia Bookstore has to improve the innovation in fulfilling the need of the customers through the way of presenting the product and the vast variation of product.
