Abstract

Berbagai isu dan bukti adanya penyusupan ideologi radikalisme di lingkungan pendidikan, dan perlu penguatan kurikulum pendidikan Islam yang moderat sebagai penangkal hal tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji deradikalisasi pemahaman radikal dan implementasinya di Indonesia melalui penguatan kurikulum pendidikan Islam berbasis moderasi Islam. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah systematic literature review, dengan content analysis. Lembaga pendidikan dituntut untuk dapat menanamkan nilai moderasi (memiliki pola berfikir, bertindak, dan berperilaku yang memiliki ciri-ciri tawassuth, tawazun, dan i’tidal) melalui pembelajaran. Guru merupakan peran sentral dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai serta pengamalan ajaran-ajaran agama Islam di sekolah. Penanaman nilai-nilai moderasi secara praktis ada beberapa aspek untuk melaksanakan hal tersebut berbasis moderasi Islam antara lain yaitu, kebijakan sekolah, materi dan strategi pembelajaran, penjaga atau pegawai sekolah, orang tua dan guru, kelima komponen tersebut harus senantisa bersinergi dalam pelaksanaannya. Penelitian ini berimplikasi dalam mengembangkan teori kurikulum pendidikan Islam berbasis moderasi beragama

Abstract

The phenomenon of radicalism in Indonesia has recently become increasingly commonplace, there are many intolerant activities taking place in various layers of society. In particular, the radicalism carried out by elements who divide the ummah from the Islamic group, has made the image of Islam as a religion of peace for all nature and incompatible with a tolerant and moderate Islamic person. Not to mention that the understanding of intolerance has begun to be detected in educational institutions, many educational institutions are infiltrated with radical and intolerant views. Therefore, this study wants to describe how urgent the deradicalization program is in the curriculum in Indonesia. How is the concept of deradicalization in the curriculum, and how to deradicalise the existing curriculum in Indonesia. This study aims to determine the concept of deradicalization in the curriculum, as well as how to deradicalise existing curricula in Indonesia. The research method uses literature studies by collecting data from documents using descriptive-analysis methods. Deradicalization of the curriculum in Indonesia is very depleted, deradicalization in education can be carried out with a pedagogical approach through careful planning in the curriculum for learning Islamic religious education. Abstract

Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) Pada dasarnya tujuan pendidikan adalah membentuk kepribadian muslim yang utuh dan mengembangkan segenap potensi manusia lahir dan batin. Terkait Undang-Undang Nomor 12 Tahun 2012 tentang Pendidikan Tinggi, nama MPK diubah lagi menjadi MKWU (Mata Pelajaran Wajib Umum). PAI berharap penyelenggara perguruan tinggi dapat memahami dan mewujudkan mata kuliah pendidikan agama sebagai mata pelajaran wajib yang menjadi ruh pembinaan kepribadian mahasiswa dan landasan spiritual bagi pengembangan bidang ilmunya masing-masing. Perkembangan filosofi yang terstagnasi dalam Pembelajaran Agama Islam (PAI) telah melahirkan Beberapa cendikiawan, pejabat, tokoh masyarakat, pendakwah, dan orang-orang kredibel lainnya memang berlandaskan nilai-nilai Islam. Sejauh ini, ide mengembangkan PAI diabaikan karena tidak ada yang bisa menggugah semangat dan motivasi menciptakan Islam untuk meningkatkan ilmunya. Dalam penyelesaian masalah dalam artikel ini menggunakan pendekatan dikrepansi, yang artinya, mencari kesenjangan antara kondisi ideal implementasi pembelajaran berpendekatan saintifik dengan kondisi nyata yang terjadi di lapangan. Menyelesaikan masalah dengan mempertimbangkan juga pertimbangan teori, filosofis, dan literatur yang sesui dengan kondisi, lapagan. Diharapkan artikel ini menjadi letarasi yang berkontribusi dalam dunia akademik, sebagai pertimbangan teoritis dan menyelesaikan masalah dimasa yang akan datang.

Abstract

Abstrak - Pendekatan kognitif sosial Bandura mengemukakan bahwa perilaku merupakan akumulasi dari pengalaman masa lalu yang berupa keberhasilan atau kegagalan, persuasi sosial dari lingkungan sosial, keadaan emosi, dan pengalaman melihat model. Proses pendekatan ini juga dapat diterapkan pada Pendidikan Agama Islam, bagaimana guru melaksanakan pembelajaran pendidikan agama memerlukan model roll atau keteladanan di lingkungan sehingga dapat merangsang siswa. Dalam penelitian ini penulis mengumpulkan data dengan mengidentifikasi pemikiran atau temuan yang terdapat pada buku, makalah, jurnal, articel yang berkaitan dengan topik. Diskusikan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif untuk menjelaskan ide pokok yang berkaitan dengan topik diskusi. Abstract

This research aims to illustrate the collaboration of lecturers, students, supervisors, and MGMP in the development of sustainable professional teachers in Sleman Regency. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research types of cooperation among lecturers, students, supervisors, and MGMP in the development of sustainable professional pai teachers in Sleman Regency. Data collection is done through telephone interviews and/or cloud meeting zooms. As well as spreading the questionnaire, it was done using a Google form given to MGMP members through WhatsApp messages. The results showed the importance of collaborating with teachers and supervisors who feel the need for help and competent speakers and lecturers who have funds and expertise for service and develop the quality of education in the local region of their universities. The form of collaboration is the training of PTK, LKPD, and Canva Learning Media Development. The busy schedules of many MP members, limited funds, and poor communication between supervisors, MGMP, and universities are all barriers to collaboration. The supporting factors are the existence of new regulations that encourage the development of kopetensi, the creativity of MGMP supervisors in establishing communication with universities, the allocation of funding from universities, and alumni networks as information distributors or liaisons. This research is expected to provide an overview and a theory about the form of cooperation between lecturers, students, supervisors, and MGMP.

Abstract

This paper examines the methods of internalizing the value of moderation in Islamic education, specifically within the context of at-tawāsuṭ wal i’tidāl (moderation and justice) in schools, drawing on Thomas Lickona's character education theory. The research methodology employed in this study includes a literature review and a survey. Although the survey presents some numerical data, the overall study is qualitative. The findings show that the core value of moderation in the Nahdlatul Ulama is at-tawāsuṭ wal i’tidāl, which will spell out various values of moderation derivatives. The processes of internalizing such Islamic moderation in schools – in the perspective of Lickona- were done along three stages: 1) Knowing, conducted through TCL (Teacher-Centered Learning) strategy by applying CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) approach and group discussion method; 2) Feeling, achieved through strengthening intra classroom activities, editing, and habituating; and 3) Doing, which is more implemented in intra and extracurricular activities. This research offers insights into internalizing Islamic moderation in schools, drawing on the perspective of at-tawāsut wal i’tidal and Lickona's character education theory. It contributes to the formulation of a model approach that can be implemented by various educational institutions, particularly schools, to foster Islamic moderation among students.

Abstract

This research evaluates the impact of the Teacher Professional Education (PPG) program for Kindergarten educators on their understanding of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) education in the context of the Industrial Revolution 5.0 and Society 5.0. Utilizing a quantitative approach with a pretest-posttest design, the study involved fifty kindergarten teachers from the PPG Daljab (In-Service Teacher Professional Education) at FITK, UIN Sunan Kalijaga. The assessment of participants, conducted through validated instruments, focused on measuring the enhancement of pedagogical competencies in STEAM before and after the program. Results indicated a notable improvement in the teachers' competencies post-intervention. The statistical analysis, including a paired t-test, showed a significant increase in test scores from the pretest to the post-test with a t-statistic of -53.58 and a p-value of 8.54 x 10^-44, highlighting a highly significant difference and validating the effectiveness of the PPG program in bolstering STEAM educational skills. Further tests for normality and homoscedasticity confirmed the reliability and validity of the data. Despite these positive outcomes, variations in test item reliability suggest the need for ongoing evaluation and refinement of assessment tools. The study underscores the potential of structured professional development programs in enhancing teacher capabilities, particularly in adapting to the demands of modern technological and interdisciplinary educational environments. It recommends further research to explore the long-term effects of such interventions on teacher competencies and to fine-tune the assessment methodologies used. This study contributes to the understanding of effective professional development in preparing educators to integrate and excel in STEAM disciplines, aligning with the educational imperatives of contemporary technological revolutions.

Abstract

Purpose – This study investigates the adaptive strategies employed by pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) in Java, Indonesia, during the COVID-19 pandemic. It aims to understand how these institutions maintained educational standards amidst the crisis, providing insights that could benefit similar educational systems worldwide. Design/methods/approach – A qualitative multi-case study design was used, focusing on three pesantren: Pesantren Ibnul Qoyyim Yogyakarta, Pesantren Zhilalul Qur'an Jepara, and Pesantren Putri Al-Mawaddah Ponorogo. Data collection methods included direct observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Participants included heads, administrators, and teachers from each pesantren. Data were analyzed using interactive techniques involving open coding, axial coding, and comparative analysis to identify key themes. Findings – The study revealed distinct adaptive strategies across the pesantren: 1) Pesantren Ibnul Qoyyim adopted remote learning via Zoom and implemented stringent health protocols upon students' gradual return. 2) Pesantren Zhilalul Qur'an focused on online Quran memorization and established a dedicated clinic for health monitoring. 3) Pesantren Putri Al-Mawaddah limited external interactions and used a rotating teacher system to maintain educational delivery. Research implications – The findings highlight the resilience and adaptability of pesantren in crises, offering a model for other educational institutions. The study underscores the importance of innovation, flexibility, and cross-sector collaboration in managing educational continuity during global crises. These insights can inform policymakers and educational stakeholders in developing robust crisis management strategies.

Abstract

This study examines Pondok Pesantren Wali Sanga Gunung Meja’s strategies to thrive within a Catholic-majority community in Ende, Nusa Tenggara Timur, emphasizing interfaith harmony and educational resilience. This study employs a qualitative case study approach to delve into the institution’s adaptive methods and contributions to communal harmony. It does so through semi-structured interviews, non-participant observations, and document analysis. Results highlight the institution’s ability to foster mutual respect and social cohesion through various programs grounded in its foundation of collaboration between Islamic and Catholic figures. The study identifies critical factors for its sustainability: fostering Silahturahmi (communication and friendship), collaboration with the Catholic community, and commitments to social-cultural integration, education, and self-reliance. These elements collectively enhance the Pesantren’s role in promoting religious understanding and community harmony. The findings suggest that Pesantren’s approach offers a model for navigating religious identity complexities and community integration. Limitations include the study’s focus on a single institution and reliance on qualitative data, pointing to the need for broader comparative research to generalize findings. The study underscores the potential of religious education in advancing social harmony, advocating for further exploration across diverse settings.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness and application of the calligraphy method in learning to read and write the Quran (QRW) at SDN Malangrejo Sleman, which leads to enhanced students' abilities in Quranic learning. This research employs a qualitative descriptive analysis method, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that teaching Quran reading and writing through calligraphy can foster and develop students' creativity, namely, teaching students to appreciate the art of calligraphy. Therefore, the calligraphy method in QRW learning at SDN Malangrejo Sleman is effective and innovative. The approach, which requires understanding, reading, and writing the Quran correctly, is crucial. It also aims to prevent students from boredom when learning to read and write the Quran and fosters student autonomy. We believe schools and other Islamic education teachers can leverage this research to improve the quality of Quran reading and writing. The findings of this study are expected to prompt teachers and educational institutions to consider the calligraphy method as an alternative approach to learning to read and write the Quran, as it may enhance creativity and students' interest.
