Abstract

The dissemination and promotion are very important for an independent music records label business. However, with the change in consumer behaviour, conventional ways of disseminating information through radio, television, or magazine/newspaper advertisements are no longer relevant and too much expensive. The use of social media and websites are potential efforts to be developed. But, the dissemination of information and promotion through social media are very limited to algorithms and technological capabilities. The importance of website could be very an effective medium for records label players. Website can create many varieties content informations and product campaigns. Moreover, with changes in consumer behaviour in consuming recorded music, there is a need for an ideal means of information and promotion to consumers. Through a design thinking approach, this design will focus on the needs of the end-user through the stages of empathy, define, ideation, prototype, and test. This series of processes are the stages that will be carried out in designing this website. Making this website can be an access to information and promotion for independent record labels, which so far have had various limitations. With the presence of this website, it is also expected to encourage information dissemination, access to promotions and marketing, as well as user data needs that can encourage the creation of various economic opportunities.

Abstract

Pada era Hindia Belanda, Kabupaten Purwakarta adalah ibukota Karesidenan Karawang, sehingga di Kabupaten Purwakarta terdapat kawasan pusat kota dengan alun-alun dan kelengkapan infrastruktur lainnya. Kelebihan ini belum disadari sebagai potensi oleh pemerintah daerah maupun masyarakat. Padahal, pemahaman terhadap potensi cagar budaya akan mendorong peningkatan Indeks Pembangunan Kebudayaan (IPK) daerah. Dari permasalahan tersebut, kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini menawarkan dua solusi yaitu, memberikan ilmu dan metode untuk peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat terhadap potensi cagar budaya daerah dan pengembangan peta wisata tematik berbasis Google Maps. Di dalamnya terdapat kegiatan terkait inventarisasi dan dokumentasi bangunan cagar budaya, termasuk pengetahuan teknologi untuk membangun media literasi cagar budaya. Metode yang digunakan melalui survey lapangan dan wawancara, penyusunan proposal, dan pencarian alternative solusi. Pada pelaksanaan kegiatan, metode yang digunakan adalah transfer pengetahuan melalui kegiatan workshop Adapun luaran kegiatan berupa infografis, peta tematik cagar budaya, dan website. Serta transfer pengetahuan dan metode kepada staf DISPORAPARBUD, dan masyarakat pecinta warisan budaya di bawah binaan DISPORAPARBUD Kabupaten.

Abstract

.Bali's creative economy in 2020 shows that 26.26% was dominated by music, 12.64% from performing arts, 8.29% from culinary, and 52.81% from other sub-sectors. By looking at the data, there are one sub-sector  that is not quite as significant as the others and that is fashion. One subculture actor who is quite active in the local fashion industry is Pica, subdivided by Picamagz and Pica Fest. They are quite constant in holding subcultural events such as music shows and fashion festival. This proves that local fashion industry can give contribution and can also be supported by other industry. The purpose of this study is to analyze the social creative field of Picamagz and Pica Fest. The method used for this study is qualitative descriptive with the validation from interviews and observation. The result of this study shows that that the field of expression, production, dissemination and appreciation filled with active actors who holds their respective role.

Abstract

This study aims to discuss the extent to which the spatial transformation due to the renovation of cultural heritage buildings can affect the physical building and the user's territory, as well as its influence on the concept of architecture as the language of development. This study uses a qualitative method. Data was collected by field observations, interviews, and literature review. The sampling was carried out using a non-random or purposive type of sample. The results of the analysis show that there has been a physical and territorial transformation in Gedung Sate, Bandung as an effect of the construction of the Gedung Sate Museum. The control role of stakeholders also greatly influences the extent to which this transformation takes place. Not only interior elements, space layouts, as well as facade elements, and user territories have changed. Furthermore, the existing transformation more or less also affects development in the Gedung Sate area, and for the city of Bandung in general. Where the role of Gedung Sate's architecture is now becoming broader and more abstract. Not only becomes an artifact, but also becomes something more economic and commercial (commodification).

Abstract

The development of crypto has resulted in NFT (non-fungible token) derivation. Artists began to explore the NFT market with its potential. NFT artists have different ways to get engagement and establish themselves in the world of NFT, whether in terms of artwork substance or in the social field. This study aims to deconstruct the actors behind NFT artists to elucidate the visual style and the social engagement of artists in the world of NFT. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with data validation from interviews and NFT artwork samples. The data was subsequently processed using actor-network theory (ANT) to analyze and trace the actors behind the NFT artists. Two Indonesian artists, namely Angga Tantama and Mufti Prianka, became the study cases in this research. The result of this study shows heterogeneous actors who support the artists in their work's substance and social engagement. In the case of Mufti Prianka, NFTs influenced him to explore the possibilities of creating digital artworks, whereas for Angga, NFT platforms became one of his well-established channels to publish artworks. Based on their networks, the two Indonesian artists studied have different approaches and motivations in creating and engaging with NFTs.Proses kreatif dua seniman NFT Indonesia dalam perspektif teori jaringan aktorPerkembangan kripto telah menghasilkan derivasi NFT (non-fungible token). Para seniman mulai menjajaki pasar NFT dengan potensinya. Seniman NFT memiliki cara yang berbeda untuk mendapatkan keterlibatan dan memantapkan diri di dunia NFT baik dari segi substansi karya seni maupun dalam bidang sosial. Gaya visual dalam kategori ini bervariasi dengan seniman yang berbeda yang merupakan pencipta di belakangnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendekonstruksi aktor di balik seniman NFT untuk menjelaskan gaya visual dan keterlibatan sosial seorang seniman di dunia NFT. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan validasi data dari wawancara dan sampel karya seni NFT. Data tersebut selanjutnya diolah menggunakan teori jaringan aktor (ANT) untuk menganalisis dan menelusuri aktor di balik seniman NFT. Dua seniman Indonesia menjadi studi kasus dalam penelitian ini, yaitu Angga Tantama dan Mufti Prianka. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan aktor heterogen yang mendukung seniman dalam substansi karya dan keterlibatan sosialnya. Dalam kasus Mufti Prianka, NFT memengaruhinya untuk mengeksplorasi kemungkinan dalam menciptakan karya seni digital, sedangkan pada Angga, platform NFT menjadi salah satu salurannya yang mapan untuk mempublikasikan karya seni. Berdasarkan jaringan mereka, dua seniman Indonesia yang diteliti memiliki pendekatan dan motivasi yang berbeda dalam menciptakan dan terlibat dengan NFT.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yaitu untuk memberikan knowledge transfer kepada Komunitas Radio Depan Rumah dalam memanfaatkan media sosial. Solusi yang ditawarkan berupa workshop dan konten video dan audio podcast tentang teknik storytelling untuk perancangan konten media sosial. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dimulai dengan observasi masalah yang dihadapi oleh masyarakat/mitra sasar, analisa masalah, persiapan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat, pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat, dan evaluasi kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Hasil dari kegiatan ini berupa kegiatan workshop dan konten audio podcast untuk memanfaatkan media sosial sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan masalah dari masyarakat sasar/mitra komunitas. Perancangan konten dilakukan melalui proses pelaksanaan kegiatan workshop, perekaman kegiatan workshop, editing audio dan video kegiatan workshop, dan menyebarkan konten rekaman audio podcast dan video di Spotify dan Youtube. Solusi yang ditawarkan merupakan berupa workshop daring via platform googlemeets dan konten audio podcast dan video yang bisa dinikmati masyarakat luas. Implikasi dan manfaat dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini yaitu mendorong pelaku komunitas kreatif untuk memanfaatkan media sosial secara efektif melalui pendekatan storytelling. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini juga diharapkan dapat menjadi sarana untuk menyosialisasikan kemampuan literasi media kepada komunitas kreatif di Kota Bandung dalam memanfaatkan platform media sosial yang baik dan benar sebagai bagian dari pemberdayaan sosial.

Abstract

Subculture is a movement against the mainstream that is manifested through music, fashion and lifestyle. One of the supporting element of the manifestation of a subculture is the existence of products from certain brands that have authenticity. The authenticity of a brand can be formed through the interaction of a brand with its community. A brand is not constructed by itself, but it must be built with various actions towards a community with its own ecosystem so as to give rise to consumer attitudes and habits towards a brand's product. Previous studies have shown that general consumers with subcultural actors show different attitudes towards a product from a certain brand. Another study shows that brands imitate the behavior patterns of a subculture and make it their target market to sell products. This study aims to take another approach, namely a sociological approach, by conducting a case study of a brand that is associative with a subcultural movement, one of which is Maternal Disaster. The method used in this study was an unstructured interview with the owner of the Maternal Disaster brand, visual samples analysis and an analysis based on the sociological theory of Pierre Bourdieu. The result of this research is a recommendation, brands that want to start moving in the subculture must prioritize the values ​​that are upheld by the subculture movement. In addition, interaction with the community must be built through the support of activities in the subculture.

Abstract

Warkop Musik supports the independent music movement as an independent Bandung record label. However, there are challenges faced in the form of a lack of merchandise diversification, which results in limited market reach. Previous research shows that merchandise can improve SME business performance through various public channels and online platforms. Public procurement has an important role in accessing markets and increasing the growth of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Heskett's design method is used to link industrial design with economics. The research data collection process includes literature study, observation and interviews. The design process starts from sketching, finalizing and evaluating visual assets. The visual style applied is a surreal, cartoon-style illustration. The results of the research show that a diversification strategy through merchandise with a design approach can expand Warkop Musik's market reach and improve its business performance.

Abstract

Berdasarkan data dari Kementerian Koperasi dan UKM, melalui situs website UKMINDONESIA.ID, terdapat 85,585-unit UMKM di Provinsi Gorontalo yang terdaftar pada platform Online Single Submission - Risk Based Approach (OSS RBA). UMKM Bilal Mekar Snack, salah satu usaha dari Gorontalo, berfokus pada produksi makanan ringan khas daerah dengan bahan utama hasil olahan ikan. Berdasarkan data hasil dari wawancara dan observasi, ditemukan bahwa UMKM Bilal Mekar Snack belum secara maksimal dalam memanfaatkan potensi branding yang dimiliki. Masalah utamanya meliputi desain visual yang generik dan tidak memiliki ciri khas yang mudah diingat, kurangnya penggunaan nama merek produk pada kemasan, serta perubahan desain kemasan yang tidak konsisten. Selain itu, pemanfaatan media promosi, baik online maupun offline, juga belum maksimal. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini menggunakan berbagai metode riset, seperti observasi, wawancara, studi pustaka, kuesioner, analisis matriks perbandingan, dan analisis SWOT. Dengan pendekatan psikologi desain, penelitian ini menghasilkan identitas baru untuk UMKM Bilal Mekar Snack, termasuk logo UMKM, nama merek, desain kemasan, dan berbagai media promosi seperti poster, banner, konten media sosial, website profil, dan elemen e-commerce.
