Abstract

Bantar Gebang is known as the slum areas where landfills and economic conditions of the majority of the people are below the poverty line. As you know, poverty has multiple effects on the community; one of them is the difficulty of obtaining a quality education. Some consequences of this poverty is the teenage mindset Bantar Gebang less visionary, tough economic conditions improved, and a lack of productivity and creativity. The method used to solve this problem is to analyze the real needs of the target communities, field surveys, completed the licensing administration, recruitment of participants, making materials, training and guidance, visit, and evaluation. Results and the achievement of the program is the implementation of the program Youth Camp for three days to form a teenage mindset Bantar Gebang, pekanan training in a few months for monitoring and realization of values in the material leaderpreneurship pekanan mentoring, as well as joint projects of the participants with the formation house studio Flower (Creative Home Society Bantar Gebang) which has activities such as the manufacture of products / works from recycled materials derived from waste from the mountain Bantar Gebang. Some products / works have been sold which will be used to fully benefit the education of children Bantar Gebang own. Some participants also managed dikader so they are ready to contribute and assist program managers in completing a program agenda. The work of the studio Flower House had participated in the exhibition of works at the Faculty of Public Health (FKM) UI, could get coverage of Alif TV, and also had to get a visit from overseas such as Malaysia.

Abstract

Goal setting is an important skill for students to have so they can achieve academic success. This study aims to test the effectiveness of the goal setting training in improving students' knowledge and skills for setting goals. The study was a quasi-experimental design and was structured in experiential learning framework. The subjects were 12 students. Data were collected quantitatively using a questionnaires and qualitatively using observation and open-ended questions. The paired sample t-test was used to analyze quantitative data, while qualitative data were analyzed descriptively based on goal-setting concept. The results show that participants of this study experienced a significant increase in knowledge and skills scores after attending the training (p<0.001). The training process runs according to established procedures, so that training objectives can be achieved properly. The quality of the contents of the discussion and the answers of students in the test showed good results. However, this training still needs to be supplemented with follow-up to ensure changes in student behavior after attending the training. This study suggests that schools should facilitate their students to involve in goal setting trainings and activities in order to increase their opportunities in achieving academic success.Keywords: Goal setting, training, secondary studentsAbstrak: Penetapan tujuan merupakan salah satu keterampilan yang penting untuk dimiliki siswa agar mereka dapat mencapai kesuksesan akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas pelatihan penetapan tujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan siswa dalam menetapkan tujuan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan desain kuasi-eksperimental dan disusun dengan kerangka experiential learning. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 12 orang siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) “Sukses” Jakarta. Data dikumpulkan secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Analisis data kuantitatif dilakukan dengan teknik paired sample t-test, sedangkan analisis data kualitatif dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan data observasi selama pelatihan berlangung dan meninjau kualitas jawaban siswa pada tes. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami peningkatan skor pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang signifikan (p<0,001) setelah mengikuti pelatihan. Proses pelatihan berjalan sesuai prosedur yang telah ditetapkan, sehingga tujuan pelatihan dapat tercapai dengan baik. Kualitas isi diskusi dan jawaban siswa dalam tes menunjukkan hasil yang baik. Namun demikian, pelatihan ini masih perlu dilengkapi dengan tindak lanjut untuk memastikan adanya perubahan perilaku siswa setelah mengikuti pelatihan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan penting-nya bagi sekolah untuk memfasilitasi para siswanya mengikuti kegiatan dan pelatihan terkait penetapan tujuan demi tercapaianya keberhasilan akademik mereka.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Kurangnya sosialisasi tentang dampak negatif NAPZA menjadi salah satu penyebab minimnya pengetahuan remaja tentang bahaya zat terlarang. Studi yang dilakukan oleh Marlatt dan Witkiewitz (2002) menunjukkan bahwa edukasi yang tepat di tingkat komunitas dapat membantu mencegah peningkatan penggunaan zat berbahaya pada remaja. Di Desa Kademangan, pemahaman tentang bahaya NAPZA masih rendah, dan sebagian besar remaja tidak memiliki keterampilan hidup untuk menghadapi tekanan lingkungan yang berisiko. Desa Kademangan memiliki angka penggunaan zat berbahaya (NAPZA) yang cukup tinggi, terutama di kalangan remaja yang berada pada fase rentan. Meningkatkan pengetahuan serta kesadaran remaja tentang dampak dan bahaya penyalahgunaan Napza. Metode pelaksanaan yang di gunakan yaitu pendekatan partisipatif dan edukatif. Hasil dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dari 40 remaja menunjukan bahwa rata-rata  remaja memiliki pengetahuan dan pemahaman dampak tentang penyalahgunaan Napza sebagian besar memiliki pengetahuan kurang sebanyak 15% dan sebanyak 18% remaja memiliki pemahaman kurang tentang dampak penyalahgunaan Napza, namun setelah diberikan edukasi pengetahuan dan pemahaman remaja meningkat menjadi 85% pengetahuan dan 80% pemahaman responden. Edukasi Preventif Penyalahgunaan Napza pada Remaja yang dilaksanakan di Desa Kademangan menunjukkan hasil yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman remaja terkait bahaya penyalahgunaan Napza. Kata Kunci: NAPZA, Remaja, Pengetahuan  ABSTRACT Lack of socialization about the negative impacts of drugs is one of the causes of the lack of knowledge among teenagers about the dangers of illegal substances. A study conducted by Marlatt and Witkiewitz (2002) shows that appropriate education at the community level can help prevent an increase in the use of dangerous substances in adolescents. In Kademangan Village, understanding of the dangers of drugs is still low, and most teenagers do not have the life skills to face the pressures of a risky environment. Kademangan Village has a fairly high rate of use of dangerous substances (NAPZA), especially among teenagers who are in the vulnerable phase. Increase youth knowledge and awareness about the impacts and dangers of drug abuse. The implementation method used is a participatory and educational approach. The results of this community service from 40 teenagers show that on average teenagers have knowledge and understanding of the impact of drug abuse, most of them have less knowledge as much as 15% and as many as 18% of teenagers have less understanding about the impact of drug abuse, but after being given education Teenagers' knowledge and understanding increased to 85% knowledge and 80% understanding of respondents. Preventive education on drug abuse among teenagers carried out in Kademangan Village showed significant results in increasing teenagers' knowledge and understanding regarding the dangers of drug abuse. Keywords: NAPZA, Teenager, Knowledge
