Abstract

Abstrak.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa yang diberi perlakuan model pembelajaran Auditory, Intelectually and Repetition (AIR) dengan model pembelajaran Probing-prompting. (2) Perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa yang memiliki tingkat kecemasan pada tes matematika panik, berat, sedang dan ringan. (3) Interaksi antara model pembelajaran (AIR dan Probing-prompting) dengan kecemasan siswa pada tes matematika siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimental semu dengan desain faktorial 2 4. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa MTs Batamiyah tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu teknik sampling jenuh. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak dua kelas. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket kecemasan pada tes matematika dan tes hasil belajar matematika. Uji prasyarat meliputi uji normalitas menggunakan metode kolmogorov smirnov dan uji homogenitas menggunakan metode Bartlett. Dengan  diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa sampel berasal dari populasi yang berdistribusi normal dan mempunyai variansi yang homogen. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan analisis variansi dua jalan dengan sel tak sama. Hasil penelitian diperoleh: (1) Model pembelajaran Auditory, Intelectually and Repetition (AIR) menghasilkan hasil belajar lebih baik dari pada model pembelajaran Probing-prompting. (2) Perbedaan tingkat kecemasan pada tes matematika tidak berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar. (3) Tidak terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran (AIR dan Probing-prompting) dengan kecemasan pada tes matematika siswa.

Abstract

 ABSTRACT The textile industry produce colored waste liquid that can contaminate the line water and its populations. A number of dyes are using in textile industry processes such as rhodamine-B and alizarine-S. Both of dyes are toxic for human life. In order to reduce the concentration that dyes is used the sonolysis method which have good efficiency and effective to degrade this pollutants. Sonolysis was performed using an ultrasound energy at 47 kHz. Catalyst ZnO is used to get better degradation. Rhodamine-B 2mg/L with 0.3 g ZnO addition, pH 5, temperature 40°C get 35.44% degradation after 60 minutes. If we used 3 mL H2O2 30% in the same condition the degradation up to 42.67% and with the combination of 0.3 g ZnO - 3 mL H2O2 as catalysts it got 91.99% after 90 minutes. Alizarine-S 20 mg/L with 0.5 g ZnO addition, pH 5, temperature 50°C was degraded up to 86.45% after 35 minutes. Furthermore, the degradation reached 95.79% if it used 0.5 g ZnO and 25 mL H2O2 30% at pH 5 and temperature 50°C after 35 minutes sonolysis. Keywords : rhodamine-B, alizarine-s, ZnO, H2O2

Abstract

Kelurahan Mangsang adalah sebuah wilayah di Kota Batam. Kepadatan penduduk di Kelurahan Mangsang yang tergolong tinggi menyebabkan potensi penularan penyakit menular sangat besar. Berdasarkan data harian SATGAS Penanganan COVID-19 Kota Batam per 11 Februari 2021 sebanyak 5768 orang terjangkit virus COVID-19 hingga saat ini dengan total sembuh sebanyak 5431 orang, pasien aktif tersisa 191 orang dan meninggal sebanyak 146 orang. Salah satu cara efektif untuk memutus mata rantai penyebaran Covid-19 adalah dengan sering mencuci tangan dengan sabun. Keterbatasan sarana prasarana tempat cuci tangan di wilayah ini menjadi masalah tersendiri yang harus segera diselesaikan. Oleh karena itu dengan adanya kegiatan PKM ini dapat membantu pemerintah khususnya warga kelurahan mangsang dalam mencegah penularan Virus Covid 19 melalui penyediaan alat cuci tangan berbasis pedal. Kelebihan alat cuci tangan ini adalah menggunkan pedal untuk mengeluarkan air dan sabun, sehingga mengurangi kontak langsusng tangan dengan kran atau botol sabun. Tentunya hal ini sangat efektif dalam mengurangi atau mencegah penularan virus Covid 19.

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) telah menghadirkan berbagai inovasi dalam metode pengajaran matematika. Teknologi membuka pintu untuk pembelajaran yang lebih mudah dan menyenangkan, yang dapat meningkatkan minat serta pemahaman siswa terhadap matematika. Faktanya, pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pembelajaran masih belum dilakukan oleh sebagian besar guru. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman terkait pemanfaatan teknologi sebagai media yang dapat digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Sasaran kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah guru Mental Aritmatika ASMA Batam. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dalam tiga tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Secara keseluruahan kegiatan pengabdian ini berjalan dengan baik. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari antusias peserta selama mengikuti kegiatan dan hasil evaluasi yang diberikan setelah berakhirnya kegiatan. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi secara keseluruhan peserta kegiatan merasa puas dengan pelaksanaan pengabdian ini dengan persentase kepuasan adalah 76,9% mengatakan sangat puas dan 21,1% puas.

Abstract

Learning Media used in the learning process is not optimal, students have difficulty in understanding mathematical concepts.Digital Learning media are needed according to the needs of students, which are easily accessible and support students in internal and external learning activities. The purpose of the research is to develop contextual-based digital mathematics learning media for Junior High School students that are valid, practical, and effective. Types of research, Research Development with ADDIE Development model: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The study was conducted with students subject SMPN 51 Batam. Research instruments in the form of questionnaires of material experts, media experts, student response questionnaires, educator response questionnaires and learning outcomes test questions, were declared valid and reliable. Based on the results of the study, the development of Learning media achieved aspects of the validity of the material expert at 3.78 (very valid) and media expert 3.77 (very valid), small group trials 82.62 percent (practical) and the response of educators 90.83 percent (very practical). and aspects of media effectiveness 73.68 percent (effective). Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that contextual-based digital mathematics learning Media for Junior High School students that have been developed are valid, practical and effective, developed media can be chosen as an alternative for learning mathematics causes attractive and interactive design view, with contextual mathematics.

Abstract

This study was inspired by the class X SMA Hidayatullah Batam's poor mathematics learning outcomes, one of which was brought on by teaching strategies that discouraged student participation in the learning process. The purpose of this study was to compare the Team Assisted Individualization learning model assisted by mathematics domino (domat) visualizer with conventinal learning models in terms of the mathematics learning results for class X students at SMA Hidayatullah Batam. This kind of research utilized a posttest-only control group design and was quasi-experimental in nature. Up to 53 pupils from class X at SMA Hidayatullah made up the research population. The experimental class, X MIPA PA (15 students), and the control class, X MIPA PI (15 students), were sampled via purposive sampling. The research instrument was in the form of essay questions where all items were valid and reliable (reliability coefficient 0.927 in the high category). Using one sample t-test and independent sample t-tests the data were analyzed. The results showed: (1) The implementation of the domat-assisted TAI learning model was effective in terms of mathematics learning outcomes with a t-value (4.231) t-table (2.144); (2) the conventional model is ineffective with a t-value (-0.728) ≤ t-table (2.144); and (3) there were differences between the domat-assisted TAI learning model and the conventional model in terms of the outcomes of mathematics learning with a t-value (3.082) t-table (2.048). On the basis of the study's findings, the domat-assisted TAI learning approach is advised as an alternative to learning mathematics. It can help students take an active part in the learning process and improve their learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between learning interest and learning motivation with mathematical concept comprehension among 10th-grade students in MAN 2 Batam. The research method used is quantitative with a correlation approach. Data was collected through questionnaires and test questions, with a sample of 71 students selected using the Purposive Sampling technique. The study results show a significant relationship between learning interest and students' mathematical concept comprehension (contribution of 0.414). A significant relationship was also found between learning motivation and students' mathematical concept comprehension (contribution of 0.428). Furthermore, the study indicates a significant relationship between learning interest and motivation and students' mathematical concept comprehension (contribution of 0.432). From the findings of this study, learning interest and motivation play a crucial role in improving students' comprehension of mathematical concepts. Therefore, educators and teachers must pay attention to and encourage students' learning interests and motivation to enhance their understanding of mathematical concepts.

Abstract

Background: The oxeye snail (Turbo argyrostoma) is a marine gastropod commonly harvested by coastal communities for consumption. Intensive and unregulated harvesting may lead to population decline, raising concerns for ecosystem stability and resource sustainability. This activity directly reduces the population of T. argyrostoma in coastal waters. This study aims to determine the abundance and the correlation between the length-weight and condition factors of T. argyrostoma in the waters of Batam, Riau Islands. Method: This study was performed from September to October 2024. Sampling was conducted at three locations: Kajang Island, Piring Island, and Layang Island. The sampling method conducted was purposive sampling. Water quality measurements were carried out in situ. Abundance was determined based on the number of individuals per unit area. Morphometric data were collected by measuring the body dimensions of T. argyrostoma using digital callipers. Next, the length-weight relationship was analysed using linear regression to determine growth patterns. Results: The aquatic environment met the quality standards set by the Minister of Environment, as outlined in Decree No. 51/2004. The highest abundance of T. argyrostoma was observed at Kajang Island (1.37 ind/m²). Morphometric measurements showed mean shell length (SL) of 39 ± 4.83 mm, weight (W) of 21.3 ± 4.58 g, and shell width (SW) of 30.3 ± 3.25 mm in Layang Island samples. A positive length–weight relationship was identified at all stations (r = 0.73, 0.45, 0.78) with allometric growth coefficient (b) values indicating growth patterns. Condition factors (K and Wr) varied across locations: 6.766 and 70.340 at Piring Island; 6.518 and 103.984 at Kajang Island; and 6.229 and 101.037 at Layang Island, respectively. Conclusion: A positive length–weight relationship was observed at all sites, and variation in condition factors suggests differing ecological pressures. The low Wr value at Piring Island may indicate environmental stress or higher predation pressure.

Abstract

Lola snails (Rochia niloticus) are biota that are widely consumed by coastal communities in Batam waters. Even though it is not a favored commodity, exploitation that does not consider sustainability can lead to population scarcity in nature. This research aims to collect comprehensive data regarding the abundance, morphometrics, and weight-length relationship of Lola snails in the waters of Sarang Island, Batam. Sampling was carried out at 3 locations, including Kajang, Piring, and Layang Islands. The Lola snail sampling method was carried out using purposive sampling. Water quality measurements are carried out in situ. Morphometric data were collected by measuring the body dimensions of Lola snails using digital calipers. Abundance was determined based on the number of individuals per unit area, and the length-weight relationship was analyzed using linear regression to determine growth patterns. The research results show that the condition of the aquatic environment still meets the environmental quality standards set by the Ministry of Environment No. 51 of 2004. The abundance of Lola snails was in range of 0.22- 0.97 ind/m2, and the highest was found on Kajang Island. The results of morphometric measurements showed that the highest shell length, weight, and shell width were observed in Lola snail samples from Kajang Island with values of 48.40 25.28 mm, 68.77 101.55 mg, and 44.42 23.28 mm. There is a relationship between the growth patterns of Lola snails caught at three stations which have negative allometric growth patterns, where Kajang Island, Piring Island, and Layang Island have negative allometric growth patterns (b3) with exponential values of 0.9685, 1.5121, and 2.5471, respectively. The value of relative weight condition factor (Wr) shows a value close to 100 on Kajang, Piring, and Layang Island, namely 102.753 and 104.812, 99.654, which indicates that Lola snails were in good condition during the research.
