Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi perkembangan dan pengaruh pemikiran dan ajaran tasawuf di era kontemporer, dengan penekanan pada relevansi dan fleksibilitasnya dalam menghadapi dinamika modernitas. Tasawuf yang dikenal sebagai Islam berdimensi esoteris tidak hanya mampu bertahan dalam perubahan zaman, namun juga mengalami transformasi signifikan dalam pola pengajarannya, metode penyebarannya, dan interaksi sosialnya. Kajian ini menguraikan bagaimana tasawuf bergerak dari tradisi yang lebih eksklusif menuju pendekatan yang inklusif dan universal, sehingga relevan dalam konteks meningkatnya kebutuhan spiritual individu modern. Penelitian ini juga menyoroti peran tasawuf dalam menjawab tantangan globalisasi, seperti krisis identitas, konflik antar budaya, dan kekosongan spiritualitas, dengan menawarkan nilai-nilai universal seperti cinta, perdamaian, dan toleransi. Selain itu, artikel ini mengeksplorasi pengaruh tasawuf di berbagai sektor, termasuk seni, sastra, pendidikan, dan dialog antaragama, yang mencerminkan kekayaan kontribusinya dalam membangun keharmonisan sosial. Dengan pendekatan interdisipliner, penelitian ini memberikan perspektif baru tentang bagaimana tasawuf tidak hanya bertahan, namun juga berkembang sebagai sumber inspirasi spiritual dan sosial di tengah kemajuan teknologi dan pluralisme budaya.

Abstract

The contemporary era faces a profound crisis of identity and meaning, often characterized by nihilism, which challenges individuals to forge personal meaning in a world increasingly devoid of inherent value. This study investigates the genealogy of Friedrich Nietzsche's thought on authentic life, comparing it with the Islamic concept of Insan Kamil within the Sufi tradition to address modern alienation. Adopting a qualitative library research design, the study uses interpretation and comparative analysis of primary philosophical and key Islamic literature. This method enables in-depth examination of their conceptual convergences and divergences. The research finds that despite distinct ontological foundations, both Nietzsche's Ubermensch and the Islamic Insan Kamil emphasize self-examination, conscious living, and the active creation of meaning. Nietzsche's critique of inherited morality resonates with Islamic teachings against blind imitation and hypocrisy, while his call for authentic self-assertion parallels Sufi principles of ego-struggle and spiritual purification. This comparative analysis offers novel frameworks for understanding and potentially mitigating contemporary issues like burnout, toxic positivity, and spiritual emptiness. The study concludes that both philosophies provide robust pathways toward genuine authenticity and purpose, underscoring the urgent need for conscious, responsible living in a rapidly changing world.

Abstract

Politics of multiculturalism is an effort to provide a space for the citizens to participate same opportunity in servicing people to fulfill their interests particularly in public spaces. There are two important element that should be considered are justice and equality. The article discusses the politics of multiculturalism as an important discourse in the field of social and politics discipline. Multiculturalism is not only a contested issue which concern on theoretical concept, but more importantly it is strongly associate with the ideology that can change sosial and political inequality particularly regarding diversities. The author employed a qualitative research methodology focusing library research. To obtain data, the author explored a number of references related to multiculturalism which were written by recognized scholars. The data then categorized based on the politics of multiculturalism themes supported by racism materials and culture studies. The author concludes that politics of multiculturalisme should not only regarded as the issue of differences but also it is a celebration of diversities. Politics of multiculturalisme can generate an action which encourages a movement for change in social inequality.

Abstract

This article discusses the importance of synergizing the three types of human intelligence, namely spiritual, emotional and intellectual intelligence, through the perspective of revelation. According to the Quran, humans were created with hearing, sight and conscience as a means to understand and manage themselves in a balanced manner. Spiritual intelligence is related to the human ability to establish a close relationship with the Creator, emotional intelligence is related to the ability to manage emotions and empathize, and intellectual intelligence is related to the ability to think critically, creatively, and innovatively. The research approach in this study will use a qualitative approach with a library research method. Where this research wants to explore and understand the concept and perspective of revelation in synergizing spiritual, emotional, and intellectual intelligence. The data analysis technique in this research is content analysis where the process is to analyze the content and meaning of the data sources collected, then interpretation and synthesis, namely by understanding, interpreting, and synthesizing information from various sources to build a comprehensive understanding. The results show that the current phenomenon shows that many people only develop one aspect of intelligence, resulting in an imbalance. Individuals who only focus on developing intellectual intelligence tend to become rigid, self-centered, and insensitive. Conversely, individuals who only develop spiritual and emotional intelligence tend to be less able to think critically and face life's challenges effectively. Therefore, this article emphasizes the importance of synergizing the three aspects of intelligence through the perspective of revelation so that humans can achieve true blessings and happiness in life and carry out their functions and responsibilities as caliphs on earth.
