Abstract

ABSTRACTThe modern church faces various complex issues that directly impact the lives of congregations and the effectives of pastoral ministry. One crucial factor that is often overlooked is the state of self-esteem of God's servant as chrurch leaders. This study aims to comprehensively describe the concept of self-esteem, identify the causes and negative impact of low self-esteem, and formulate steps to foster the pillars of healthy self-esteem in God's servants. The method used is a literature study with a qualitative approach, through the collection, analysis, and synthesis of library sources in the form of books and journal articles relevant to the theme of self-esteem and pastoral leadership. The results of the study indicate that self-esteem is a basic human need that significant influences the intellectual, emotional, relational, and spiritual aspect of God's servant. Low self-esteem is generally formed through negative experiences in the family, especially poor parenting, and results in decreased intellectual intelligence, fear of appearing in public, difficulty in relationship, and a tendency toward unstable emotions. Keyword: low self-esteem, God's servants, pillar of self esteemABSTRAKGereja masa kini menghadapi berbagai persoalan kompleks yang berdampak langsung pada kehidupan jemaat dan efektivitas pelayanan pastoral. Abstract

The excessive use of chemical pesticides in agriculture has had a negative impact on the environment and human health. As an alternative to this problem, a botanical pesticide has been developed from papaya leaf extract (Carica papaya L.) because it contains bioactive compounds such as papain, saponins, alkaloids, flavonoids, and tannins that are effective in controlling plant pests. This study aims to introduce the process of making and applying environmentally friendly botanical pesticides to the community, especially farmers in Simpang Petai Village, Kampar Regency, Riau. The manufacturing process is carried out by extracting papaya leaves using a soaking method with the addition of liquid detergent as an adhesive in a ratio of 1 tablespoon of detergent to 1 liter of water. Pesticide application is carried out through routine spraying on plants. The results of this activity indicate that botanical pesticides from papaya leaves can reduce dependence on chemical pesticides and contribute to reducing environmental pollution. This activity also supports the achievement of sustainable development goals (SDGs), especially addressing climate change, and increasing public awareness of sustainable agricultural practices.
