Abstract: This research aims to explain the phenomenon of Lia Eden community which is a new spiritual movement in the dynamics of religious life in Indonesia. Some points to be described in this research are related with a background of the birth and development of the Lia Eden community, teaching, and transformative vision in the public sphere. This research is a case study of the Lia Eden community that became of the New Age movement in the wake of belief in formal religions that considered failure in overcoming the modern human crisis. This research shows that Lia Eden community is a new spiritual movement who tried to awaken a spirit of all religions so that able to overcome of a social problem in society. This movement is not ambitions to establish a new religious institution with a strict and doctrinal organization, but effort to transmit spiritual power at the individual level to become a reflection of the mystical movement that brought changes to human life.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan fenomena komunitas Lia Eden yang merupakan gerakan spiritualitas baru dalam dinamika kehidupan beragama di Indonesia. Beberapa poin yang ingin dijabarkan dalam penelitian ini adalah berkaitan dengan latar belakang kelahiran dan perkembangan komunitas Lia Eden, ajaran, dan visi transformatifnya dalam ruang publik. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kasus dari komunitas Lia Eden yang menjadi bagian dari Gerakan Zaman Baru (New Age Movement) di tengah memudarnya kepercayaan terhadap agama formal yang dianggap gagal dalam mengatasi krisis kemanusian modern. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa komunitas Lia Eden merupakan gerakan spiritualitas baru yang berupaya membangkitkan roh dari semua agama agar berperan dalam mengatasi masalah sosial di masyarakat. Gerakan ini tidak berambisi untuk mendirikan institusi baru yang bersifat keagamaan dengan organisasi yang ketat dan bersifat doktrinal, melainkan berupaya untuk menÂtransmisikan kekuatan spiritual pada level individu hingga menjadi cerminan dari gerakan mistik yang membawa perubahan bagi kehidupan manusia.

This paper aims to elaborate the therapy power of gratitude in the shaping of the altruistic personality. This research used a comparative study of quranic psychology and positive psychology as a reference to explain about therapy power of gratitude. This research used a psychological approach to reveal the influence of the grateful on the meaningfulness of life.The results showed grateful in quranic psychology is a form of recognition of the favors bestowed by God with the submission and obedience according to what has been commanded. Gratitude in quranic psychology can be practiced in the three ways, namely orally grateful, heart, and deed. Gratitude in positive psychology is an emotional positive reaction in response to the receipt of a gift and benefit from someone. Gratitude in this perspective can be practiced personally (be thankful to the people who has given a gift) and transpersonal (expression of gratitude to God who has given many gifts in this world). In quranic psychology, be grateful can be Sufi healing or therapy to cure individualistic attitude into the life of the society. In positive psychology perspective, becoming a thankful person tend to be more generous and humble, if compared with those who never grateful.

POTRET KERUKUNAN BERBASIS KEARIFAN LOKAL: IMPLEMENTASI NILAI-NILAI HARMONI DALAM UNGKAPAN“RAMPAK NAONG BRINGEN KORONG” DALAM KEHIDUPAN MASYARAKAT MADURA Takdir, Mohammad

This research aims to reveal the indigenous wisdom of Madurese community in building harmony and peace. This research used a new paradigm in changing negative perseptions about Madurese through the implementasion of the expression “rampak naong bringen korong” in the life behavior. This research used a field study on the meaning of harmony that applied by the people of Pamekasan Madura in the expression “rampak naong bringen korong” as local wisdom values. This research showed that local wisdom values is reflected in the phrase known“rampak naong bringen korong” as one of the symbol in building harmony and peace with the others. The phrase “rampak naong bringin korong” is a meaningful philosophy of life, that Madura people are very fond of a harmonious, peaceful, and balance in all aspects of life. The philosophy of life reflected in the phrase becomes an anti-thesis and a denial to the stereotype of the Madurese character who is considered to be very close to violence. The form of implementation of harmony values in the expression “rampak naong bringin korong” is to invite the young generation to make life peaceful and harmonious as a symbol of unity and brotherhood.

This paper aims to explore the idea of the importance science ethics in the Islamic spirituality perspectives. This study used library research to determine the ethical dimension of Islamic science which is more concerned with the benefit of the people rather than the negative impact of the development of science and technology. By using the view of Islamic spirituality, the development of modern science should be guided by ethics and morals that represent esoteric wisdom as the heart of religion.This study shows that the ethics of science in the view of Islamic spirituality always emphasizes the dimensions of wisdom as reflected in the use of science without neglecting the most basic human values. The ethics of science contained in Islamic spirituality is a reflection of the esoteric dimension that encourages its people to be more sensitive to the future of nature which becomes the most beautiful representation of God's face. The ethical-esoteric dimension inherent in Islamic science is expected to be implemented by religious people to better appreciate the universe as God's creation.

ABSTRACTThis study aims to explore the idea of anthropocentric fiqh as a new paradigm in the development of more equitable Islamic law for all people in the world. Nowadays, the study of fiqh growing in the community only centered on the binary decision between halal and haram which seemed to ignore the aspects of daily problem faced by the ummah. This study uses the anthropocentric paradigm as a criticism to the theocentric paradigm which focuses all problems of the ummah only to the God. The anthropocentric paradigm is a perspective on fiqh products which not only contain debates about the God's absolutes, but also concern on the human interests in obtaining justice and the benefits of every product of the ulama ijtihad. This study shows that anthropocentric fiqh is a model of the Islamic law development which is not oriented to the sacred text or the monopoly of interpretation of classical scholars. Anthropocentric Fiqh does not want to erase the legal provisions of the Shari'a as well as the results of the classical ulama's thoughts, but to strengthen the legal foundation which is in accordance to the needs of the ummah. So, anthropocentric fiqh is very compatible with the people situation who have their own problems related to the tradition or culture which are considered against the Islamic law.Keywords: Anthropocentric Fiqh, Tajdid, Islamic Law.

This study aims to explain the contestation of Islam in the public sphere. As the majority religion, Islam always presents a debate about the position of Islam in the public sphere which is often misused for political and power interests. This study uses a comparative study between secularization practices in Indonesia and the West. The theory used in this study is Jurgen Habermas’ view of the public sphere, which is an open means of making every citizen a communicative society. This study shows that the contestation of Islam in the public sphere is very hard by following the ideology of a country in placing symbols and Islamic identities in the public sphere. In Indonesian context, restrictions on religious expression cannot be restricted, let alone to be prohibited by the state as the holder of power.
