Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of collaborative learning learning models on student problem solving. Students are given a test to see how the results of students' mathematical problem solving. Response, and student activities towards learning. Then the researcher described the results in data analysis. The method used by the researcher is a pre-experimental method using a one group pretest-posttest design. This research was conducted at SMK Tritech Informatika Medan in class X- Multimedia Executive as many as 25 students. The results of hypothesis testing conducted in this study indicate that the t-count value is 16.4037 with the t-table value at a significant level = 0.5, which is 2.060, meaning that the t-count value > t-table value or 16.4037 > 2.060. So Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. It can be concluded that there is a significant influence on the Collaborative Learning learning model on the mathematical problem solving abilities of the students of SMK Tritech Informatikan Medan.

Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this research is to find out the results of learning mathematics using the expository model and the flipped classroom learning model and whether the flipped classroom learning model is effective in improving the mathematics learning outcomes of MTs Amalul Ikhlas students. This research is a quantitative study. The population in this study were students of class VII MTs Amalul Ikhlas which consisted of 2 classes totaling 54 students. Sampling was done by using saturated sampling technique. The sample in this study consisted of two classes, namely VII A totaling 27 students as the experimental class and VII B totaling 27 students as the control class. control class is 46,48148. From the post-test results, the average score in the experimental class was 80.741 while the post-test average in the control class was 66.6667. From the data analysis shows that the experimental class, the value of L0 pre-test = 0.096 and the value of L0 post-test = 0.130. Meanwhile for the control class the value of L0 pre-test = 0.111 and the value of L0 post-test = 0.119. To test the homogeneity of the pre-test experimental class and control class obtained Fhitung (1.047) < F table (1.929). For the homogeneity test in the post-test experimental class and control class obtained Fhitung (1,108) <Ftable (1,929). The results of descriptive analysis of the data and gain index of the experimental class and control class show that the average gain index of the experimental class is 0.7 and the control class is 0.4. Furthermore, from the results of the t-test calculation, obtained thitung (5,281) > ttable (2,006) meaning that the average student learning outcomes on integer material with the Flipped Classroom learning model are higher than student learning outcomes using the Expository learning model and the Flipped Classroom learning model. effective in improving students' mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan self-efficacy siswa. Penelitian dilakukan pada tahun ajaran 2023/2024 di kelas X SMK Kesehatan Galang Insan Mandiri materi SPLTV dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 52 siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu dengan desain pretest-posttest control group desain. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas, dimana satu kelas menggunakan model pembelajaran PBL dan Kelas yang lainnya menggunakan model pembelajran CTL. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan skala self-efficacy. Analisis statistik deskriptif dan inferensial dengan uji ANOVA dua arah. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kedua model pembelajaran memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan self-efficacy siswa. Namun, terdapat perbedaan yang signifkan dalam tingkat peningkatan antara kedua model pembelajaran tersebut. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah pentingnya memperhatikan pemilihan model pembelajaran yang tepat dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan self-efficacy siswa di sekolah

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out how to improve students' mathematical communication by implementing the think-pair-share cooperative learning model.  This research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) carried out in junior high schools. The research subjects were 32 class VIII students consisting of 16 men and 16 women.  The object of the research is students' independent mathematics learning in think-pair-share type cooperative learning.  This research consists of 2 cycles, namely each cycle consists of 3 meetings. Student learning independence tests are carried out at the beginning and end of each cycle. The student mathematics communication test consists of 6 questions.  The results of the research are that there is an increase in junior high school students' mathematical communication. Supported by the results of research on the cognitive aspect, namely the results of students' mathematical communication tests at the end of cycle I, with an average of 57.09 and classical completeness of 56.25%, and a gain index of 0.47 with moderate improvement criteria. The students' mathematics communication test results at the end of cycle II were an average of 67.81, and classical completeness was 87.50%, and a gain index of 0.57 with moderate improvement criteria. Based on the results of the research, the researchers suggest mathematics learning by implementing the think-pair-share cooperative learning model, as input for schools to improve students' mathematical communication, learning quality and innovation, as input for teachers in an effort to improve teachers' abilities in managing learning So that student activity in learning also increases, mathematics learning by implementing the think-pair-share type cooperative learning model prioritizes students being able to communicate and learn independently, and it is hoped that future researchers will be able to adapt the steps in this research and correct deficiencies. in this research.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas  (PTK) yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematika siswa dengan menerapkan Game Based Learning (GBL) berbantuan lumio pada pokok bahasan statistika. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X TKR 1 SMK Negeri 4 Medan yang terdiri siswa laki laki yang berjumlah 32 siswa. Persentase tes kemampuan penalaran siswa sebelum tindakan (pra tindakan) adalah 46,87%k kemudian setelah dilakukan tindakan pada siklus I adalah 56,25%, kemudian persentase menjadi 87,05% pada siklus II dengan peningkatan sebesar 30,08%. Teknik analisis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif Kuantitatif. Penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan penerapan Game Based Learning (GBL) dapat dikatakan bahwa hasil dari penetilian ini memperlihatkan Game Based Learning (GBL) berbantuan lumio by smart dapat meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematika siswa pada pokok bahasan statistika di kelas X TKR 1 SMK Negeri 4 Medan karena telah mencapai indicator keberhasilan yang telah ditetapkan yaitu lebih dari 75% nilai siswa mencapai skor KKM atau ≥ 75.

Abstract

Pembelajaran yang berpusat pada guru terkadang menimbulkan kebosanan dan berdampak pada rendahnya prestasi siswa dalam belajar matematika, sehingga diperlukan model pembelajaran yang cocok untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut yaitu model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning. Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) merupakan pendekatan yang efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual dan keterampilan pemecahan masalah siswa. Dengan melibatkan siswa secara aktif dalam proses pembelajaran dapat mendorong siswa untuk berpikir kritis, menganalisis informasi, dan menemukan solusi inovatif. Namun keberhasilan penerapan PBL sangat bergantung pada pemilihan media pembelajaran yang tepat. Articulate Storyline 3 sebagai salah satu perangkat lunak authoring yang populer, menawarkan fleksibilitas tinggi dalam menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang interaktif dan menarik. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan media pembelajaran Articulate Storyline 3 terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan melibatkan siswa kelas XI TKR 3 SMKN 4 Medan sebanyak 28 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, tes dan dokumentasi. Analisis dilakukan dengan mengolah data kualitatif dan data kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar siswa sesudah diterapkan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbantuan media Articulate Storyline 3.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perubahan sentimen publik terhadap calon gubernur Sumatera Utara pada pemilihan tahun 2024 menggunakan data Twitter. Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah dua kandidat, yaitu Edy Rahmayadi dan Bobi Nasution. Data yang digunakan mencakup 150 tweet per bulan dari periode Januari hingga Agustus 2024, yang diambil menggunakan API Tweet Harvest. Sentimen pada tweet tersebut diklasifikasikan menggunakan algoritma Naive Bayes ke dalam tiga kategori: positif, negatif, dan netral. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya fluktuasi sentimen publik yang signifikan setiap bulannya, terutama pada Juli dan Agustus 2024, yang mencerminkan perubahan persepsi publik terkait kedua calon gubernur tersebut. Penelitian ini diharapkan memberikan kontribusi dalam memahami opini publik melalui media sosial sebagai salah satu indikator dalam konteks pemilihan politik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan desain pembelajaran matematika berbasis lintasan belajar yang dapat membantu siswa memahami konsep dasar bilangan bulat melalui soal cerita. Pendekatan lintasan belajar dirancang untuk memberikan tahapan pembelajaran yang sistematis, mulai dari eksplorasi konsep awal hingga penguasaan materi yang lebih kompleks. Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah bagaimana siswa dapat mengaitkan konsep bilangan bulat dengan situasi kontekstual melalui penyelesaian soal cerita, yang sering kali menjadi tantangan dalam pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode design researchHasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa desain pembelajaran berbasis lintasan belajar efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan siswa memahami bilangan bulat melalui pendekatan kontekstual. Aktivitas pembelajaran yang dirancang melibatkan penggunaan ilustrasi visual, diskusi kelompok, dan langkah penyelesaian bertahap yang mendukung pemahaman siswa terhadap soal cerita. Selain itu, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa pendekatan lintasan belajar membantu siswa mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan keterampilan pemecahan masalah. Guru berperan sebagai fasilitator yang memandu siswa dalam menghubungkan konsep abstrak dengan konteks nyata yang dihadirkan melalui soal cerita. Kesimpulannya, desain pembelajaran ini memberikan solusi inovatif untuk mengatasi tantangan dalam pembelajaran bilangan bulat dan menawarkan panduan praktis bagi pendidik untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pengajaran matematika. Abstract

ABSTRACTLearning mathematics does not only depend on the material being taught, but also on how the source of the material is provided/delivered and how it is delivered. The low interest in learning mathematics and the difficulty in understanding formulas result in many children being less interested in learning mathematics. The lack of innovative learning media brought by teachers, the use of cellphones for online games makes students rarely open their textbooks. The design of the right learning path can be one of the factors for a teacher's success in carrying out learning activities. The use of the right learning path that has been planned by the teacher is also a factor that can trigger the enthusiasm for reading, thinking and analyzing the material being taught. The design of an effective and efficient learning path functions so that the learning objectives and ability indicators expected of students can be achieved optimally.The ability to understand the concept of addition and subtraction in fraction material is a basic thing that is important for all students, including students with attention and hyperactivity disorders known as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). This study uses a design research method consisting of three stages: the preparation stage, the two-cycle experimental stage (cycle I: initial experiment, cycle II: teaching experiment), and the retrospective analysis stage. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, initial tests, written tests, documentation, and field notes. The application of learning by carrying out real activities and directly witnessing the process of dividing Pizza into several parts makes students understand and be more enthusiastic in solving the questions provided by the researcher. Finally, after a series of research methods carried out, the researcher obtained research results that showed that learning activities designed by creating learning paths and media can actually help students understand the concept of addition and subtraction of fractional numbers. Indicators of conceptual understanding that emerged include the ability to classify objects, present concepts in the form of mathematical representations or images, develop conditions that are necessary and sufficient for a concept, use certain procedures, and apply concepts in problem solving. Finally, a learning path involving two activities with a realistic mathematical learning context supports understanding the concepts of addition and subtraction of fractions.

Abstract

Education in Indonesia faces significant challenges in aligning with global advancements, particularly in enhancing students' problem-solving skills and fostering a sense of responsibility. This study aims to investigate the impact of Cooperative Learning and Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) models on improving these two critical aspects of high school mathematics education. Using a quasi-experimental design, the study involved two classes at SMA Negeri 1 Rantau Utara, Labuhanbatu Regency, Indonesia. Class X-D was assigned as the experimental group, implementing Cooperative Learning, while Class X-E served as the control group, utilizing the CTL model. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests to measure problem-solving skills and questionnaires to assess student responsibility. The data were analyzed using ANOVA with SPSS 27 for Windows. The results revealed that both learning models significantly improved students' problem-solving skills and responsibility. However, the Cooperative Learning group demonstrated a higher level of improvement compared to the CTL group, suggesting that collaborative learning enhances mathematical understanding and responsibility more effectively. This study underscores the importance of transitioning from conventional teaching methods to innovative, student-centered approaches. The findings imply that optimizing the application of Cooperative Learning and CTL can significantly contribute to improving the quality of education in Indonesia.
