Abstract

The research aims to describe the results of research on improving student learning outcomes through the Stad type cooperative learning model on the material on mixed whole number arithmetic operations in class VI SDK Weepangali. This research uses the classroom action research (PTK) method, with a stad type cooperative learning model, and includes two cycles, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques are observation, tests, and documentation. The research location was at SDK Weepangali, the research subjects were 31 class VI students. The results of this research show an increase in student learning outcomes after applying the STAD type cooperative learning model to the material on mixed integer arithmetic operations. The increase in student learning outcomes can be seen from the results of this research, classical completeness before conducting the research was 49.19%, in cycle I the percentage increased to 51% and cycle II increased to 74%. Based on the results of this research, the researcher concluded that the STAD type cooperative learning model can improve student learning outcomes in the material on mixed integer arithmetic operations in class VI SDK Weepangali

Abstract

The Academic Potential Test is a test that aims to measure a person's abilities in the general academic field. This test is also often associated with intelligence. Currently, apart from selecting prospective students at universities, The Academic Potential Test has also become a standard test in the selection of Civil Servant Candidates and in the recruitment of private employees and employees of State-Owned Enterprises. Based on the background above, it is necessary to measure the ability of students from the Mathematics Education Study Program at Catholic University Weetebula in solving test questions. This needs to be done as a first step in determining the abilities of prospective graduates. The method used in this research was by giving a written test in the form of test questions to 56 students and interviews with 9 students who took the test. The instruments used were 40 test questions and an interview guide. The data analysis techniques used are reduction, presentation and drawing conclusions. The test results show that students who get the low category are 84%, students who get the Average category are 7% and students who get the high category are 9%. The interview results showed that students were able to understand the test questions given, but students had difficulty determining how to solve them, so students were unable to determine the correct answer

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the ethnoscience study of making Ikat Karaja woven fabric in Sodana Village, Lamboya District as a Science Learning Source. This research uses a qualitative method. The data was obtained from the results of observations, documentation interviews and analysis. The instruments used in this research are: observation sheets, interview sheets and documentation. Data analysis techniques through the stages of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that: The amount of biodiversity on the island of Sumba is reflected in the traditional equipment and materials used in the smelting process, which are divided into various categories. The making of Karaja ikat woven fabric consists of several stages, namely (1) preparing tools and materials such as Kijora, Doka, Koba, Bedo, Unna, Malirra, Analakatta, Hawungu, Rope raffia, scissors, thread, (2) determining the motif (3). tying motifs, (4) coloring motifs, and (5) weaving, the process of making weaving until it becomes fabric. The weaving process is also related to the material Physics of friction, pressure, gravitational potential energy and kinetic energy, material of plant biodiversity Biology, on Chemistry material, namely addictive substances. In conclusion, the manufacture of Karaja ikat woven fabric has ethnoscientific value, cultural values that are believed by the community to be used in science learning
