Abstract

ABSTRACT Karonese is a part of Bataknese that inhabits in province of North Sumatra. Mudi Mudi Sirulo Bali (a name for community of Karonese youth that stay in Bali) is one of the organizations formed by Karonese located in Bali. This organization was formed to gather, know each other and learn about the culture together for Karonese youth in Bali. By the time in this developing era, some members of Mudi Sirulo Bali experience socio-cultural changes that lead to positive and negative impacts. The positive changes are that not all members of Mudi Mudi Sirulo Bali are from Tanah Karo, therefore they want to learn and preserve Karonese culture. Meanwhile, the negative changes are caused by western cultural that influences some of the members of Muda Mudi Sirulo Bali beginning to follow some their cultural lifestyles and forget the Karonese culture. The positive impact of this social change can cause Muda Mudi Sirulo Bali is able to be seen from the values ??and norms of Karonese that is now beginning to be preserved and upheld. The negative impacts could be seen from the changes of socio-cultural such as lifestyles, technological influences and lack of mutual respect among Mudi Mudi Sirulo Bali members in Bali. Abstract

ABSTRACT The existence of the Cak Ramayana dance performed by SekaaCakKarangBomo in the Uluwatu Temple complex is very well maintained. Unlike the conditions of some SekaaCak in other regions in which the performance is not every day or the audience is not as crowded as the performance in Uluwatu. The thing that causes this condition to happen is the existence of a social network that is micro, meso and macro. This social network will bring about socio-economic relations.The actors involved in the performance establishedthe socio-economic relations with several parties. Personally, SekaaCakmembersbuilttherelations with the guide. The relations also occurred between the members of SekaaCak and Dese Pekraman, and SekaaCak with travel agent. Applying embeddednes theory from Granovetter as an analysis tool, this relationscouldbe established because of an embeddednes. The embeddednes involved in this performance could be classified into weak-strong embeddednes, relational embeddednes and structural embeddednes. Abstract

ABSTRACT This research seeks to discuss and explain about Anak Alam Community as new social movement in preventing dropout rates in Bangli Regency. This research uses descriptive-explanative qualitative research methods with an explanatory analysis of the resource mobilization theory of Anthony Oberschall. According to the resource mobilization theory can be summarized the main factors in social movement, namely: (1) organization of social movement, (2) leaders and leadership, (3) resource and resource mobilization, (4) network and participation, (5) opportunitues and capacities of the community. Based on the result of this study, it is known that the Anak Alam Community has that factor that cause Anak Alam Community can survive until this day. Abstract

ABSTRACT The discourse on persons with disabilities, especially in hearing impairment social stigmatization could be analyzed through the study of sociology. This study seeks to discuss and explain the experiences of the deafs when they are experiencing, interpreting, even beyond the labeling on their disability. This study used qualitative research methods to the analysis of the theory of phenomenology which focused on three deaf adolescence (middle adolescence), and involve the family, the teacher of SLBB on Sidakarya, and Sanggar Sandi Muni Kumara as one of the deaf dance community in Denpasar City. Based on the results of this study, it is found that social stigmatization could arise from inside and from outside ourselves. Both aspects are mutually influencing and shaping the characteristics of young people with hearing impairment. Characteristics that are formed by the social stigmatization also determine how the deaf adolescence with the limitations of communicating ability to adapt themselves in communities that generally use verbal language. Abstract

This study examined the relation of slave-master between the main characters in Fifty Shades of Grey movie. The film was analyzed by using framing analysis technique Pan andKosicki. The result showed that literally Christian being the master while Anastasia as the slave. In addition of sexual intercourse, Christian also control of Anastasia’s life. The relation of the main characters could be reversed when it was examined through theory of social postmodern; slave-master discourse by Jacques Lacan. The Lacan’s slave-master discourse emphasizes the more enjoyment with utterance “who steals enjoyment greater than who”. Anastasia got more enjoyment that Christian, since her pleasure was preferred by him such as in sexual intercourse. Anastasia’s desire was also fulfilled by Christian; even she got many sacrifices such as sleeping uniformly and asked him to out with a helicopter. Therefore, Anastasia was being the master and Christian as the slave in Lacan perspective since she got more enjoyment than him. Keywords: BDSM, slave-master relation, slave-master discourse

Abstract

ABSTRACT Political participation is an important part of democracy. As part of the Ogan Komering Ulu citizens, the Toba Batak tribe is expected to make political participation in the election of the regent and deputy of Ogan Komering Ulu district. The results of this study found the political participation conducted by the Toba Batak tribe in the Ogan Komering Ulu regent and deputy district head election was political participation in voting and a small part of the Toba Batak tribe became a successful team. The results of this study the reasons for Toba Batak tribe to conduct political participation in the election of the regent and deputy head of Ogan Komering Ulu in 2015 were the first, the reason for rational assessment. Abstract

ABSTRACT This thesis discusses the fanaticism of Bali United FC supporters namely Semeton Dewata. Bali United FC is a team based in Dipta Gianyar Stadium which has many supporters. The form of fanatism Semeton Dewata is in the form of singing in the stadium, choreography is an art attraction in the form of drawings or writing, and purchase tickets as a form of love to the team. Causes of fanaticism include Regional Context, Environment, and Mass Media. The purpose of this research is to answer the problem by using qualitative research method. The theory used is Weber's Rational Action Theory, among others, value rationality, instrumental rationality, affective rationality, tradiosional rationality. Based on the result of this research, Semeton Dewata shows its fanatism to positive thing. Keywords: Bali United, Fanatisme

Abstract

ABSTRACT The phenomenon of electric cigarette in Denpasar can be analyzed through several research in sociology. This research seeks to discuss and explain the social construction of electrical cigarettes as a substitution to tobacco cigarettes in the area city of Denpasar. This research uses descriptive qualitative research method with analysis of Social Construction theory from Peter L. Bererger and Thomas Luckman as the main theory and society of consumption of Jean Baudrillard as a supporting theory. The relationship between the theory of social construction with the theory of consumption society in this study are interrelated, because the formation of the consumption community in electric cigarettes influenced by the social construction of electric cigarettes through externalization, objectivity, and internalization. The social construction of electrical cigarettes is accepted by society to form a growing consumer society today that society consumption is no longer based on exchange rate or use value, but because of the abstract and constructed value of symbols and values ??of symbols. Based on the results of this reseacrh note that those who are using electric cigarettes not only consume value for use and exchange rates, but to the the exteat that they use electric cigarettes based on the value of signs and symbol values this is finally in the form of following trend, status, expression and luxury lifestyle. Abstract

ABSTRACT The lifestyle of the Vespa community is extreme oriented towards freedom. Vespa was chosen because they were considered to represent their ideology as simple but elegant transportation, different from other motorbike communities that showed their luxury, extreme Vespa children showed the excitement of their motorbikes. In this study the authors took two problem formulations. First, how is the social ritual of the extreme Vespa community child? Second, what is the meaning of the extreme Vespa community social ritual for the Bavarians Extreme Vesarians Community? The purpose of this study was to answer the problem by using qualitative research methods. The theory used is Dick Hebdige's subculture theory. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the Vespa Extreme Bavarians Community has many social rituals, such as extreme Vespa, jamboree, attributes, reggae musik, dreadlocks, togetherness and brotherhood of Vespa communities, solidarity and social service. The rituals they live in are not only limited to activities without meaning, they insert deep meanings, one of which is the desire to win the attention of the public from the worshipers of luxury as well as a way to communicate to the public about the importance of simple living. Abstract

The language of East Sumba has speakers below 1000 people in 2002, the use of regional languages in Waingapu city is very low, especially among teenagers. This research uses qualitative method with Levi-Strauss approach that there is dynamism of linguistic sign language (Langue) that impact on individual speech (Parole) with observation data, interview, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), and Documentation. The technique of data analysis is done descriptively qualitative and interpretative. The results of the study indicate that: (1) The low use of East Sumba language among adolescents resulting from heterogeneous communities, low education, inter-ethnic marriage, and the shame of using local language in Waingapu city (2) There is no specific learning process in understanding East Sumba language; the youth learn ten language of East Sumba from the parents so that individual speech as adolescents who interact actively to the exclusion of local language. Local government constraints have not conducted local language learning in schools due to the scarcity of regional language teachers. (3) The low use of East Sumba language causes the loss of greetings to the nobility, the changing social order, and the loss of traditional songs dance.
