Abstract

Menyusui memerlukan kondisi emosional yang stabil, mengingat faktor psikologis ibu sangat memengaruhi produksi ASI. Kehamilan trimester III berlangsung mulai minggu ke 28 atau bulan ke-7. Kehamilan trimester III, sekresi yang kaya akan imunoglobin tampak memenuhi alveolus, payudara semakin padat karena retensi air, lemak serta berkembangnya kelenjar-kelenjar payudara agar pada waktunya ibu dapat memberikan ASI. Perawatan payudara adalah salah satu metode melancarkan ASI dengan merangsang sel-sel payudara untuk menjaga kebersihan payudara atau hygiene payudara ibu agar tidak terjadi infeksi, melancarkan suplai darah (merangsang sel-sel payudara), mampu memperlancar dan meningkatkan produksi ASI, menghindari penyumbatan saluran ASI, menjaga payudara tetap steril karena saat melakukan pemberian ASI, mamae bersentuhan langsung ke mulut bayi saat menyusui, mencegah puting agar tidak sakit dan tidak terjadi peradangan payudara, melenturkan puting agar tidak melepuh dan menonjolkan putting. Tujuan Untuk mengetahui peningkatan pengetahuan ibu hamil trimester III tentang perawatan payudara di PMB Mira Haryanti Bangsalan Teras Boyolali. Target kegiatan penyuluhan adalah semua Ibu hamil TM III di PMB Mira . Luaran yang diharapkan dari kegiatan ini adalah Peningkatan pengetahuan ibu hamil trimester III tentang perawatan payudara. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat adalah di PMB Mira Haryanti ada Peningkatan pengetahuan tentang perawatan payudara. Kata Kunci: Hamil, Pendidikan Kesehatan, Perawatan Payudara

Abstract

Purpose: This community service activity aims to provide information to Women of Childbearing Age (WCA) about preconception care practices and the factors that influence them so they can optimise their preconception health. Methodology: This community service activity was conducted with students from Universitas Kusuma Husada Surakarta in Indonesia and students from the Instituto Ciência da Saúde (ICS) in Timor Leste. The activity was conducted via video conference in the form of a webinar accompanied by a question-and-answer session. Participants were given questionnaires before and after the webinar to measure their knowledge of preconception care practices and the factors that influence them. Results: The activity's results showed a 100.15% increase in knowledge of preconception care, with a p-value of 0.000. Conclusions: Community service activities in the form of providing education on preconception care practices and the factors that influence them are known to be effective in improving individuals' knowledge about preconception care. Limitations: This community service activity was conducted in the form of a webinar, so it was highly dependent on signal stability and there were limitations in the evaluation because it was conducted online. Contributions: This community service activity can motivate WCA to optimise their preconception health by increasing their knowledge about preconception care practices and the factors that influence them.

Abstract

A healthy pregnancy requires preparation that needs to be done long before pregnancy occurs. The preconception period is the period before pregnancy, which is considered the right time for a woman who wants to prepare for her pregnancy optimally. Peer education is education that involves the role of peers as trained health educators and/or facilitators. Peer education, or peer group education, is one of the health education methods known to be effective in providing information to adolescents. The objective of this community service activity is to optimize the preconception health of women of childbearing age, especially adolescents, by increasing their knowledge and skills in preconception care through peer groups. The community service methods used lectures, demonstrations, and simulations. This activity consisted of four stages, namely pretest, educator training, peer education, and posttest. This activity was conducted in partnership with Karang Taruna Tunas Taruna Bhakti, Sugih Waras, Wonorejo, Karanganyar. Educator training was conducted to prepare youth organization administrators as educators for other youth organization members. The results of the activity showed that peer education, in partnership with youth organizations, was effective in improving the level of knowledge (p = 0.000) and preconception care behavior (p = 0.000) of all youth organization members. Youth organization leaders who have received educator training can disseminate their knowledge to other youth organization members and the wider community. The conclusion of this activity is that youth organizations play an effective role as peer educators in improving individuals' knowledge and behavior regarding preconception care.Kehamilan yang sehat membutuhkan suatu persiapan yang perlu dilakukan jauh sebelum kehamilan itu terjadi. Periode prakonsepsi merupakan periode sebelum terjadinya kehamilan yang dianggap sebagai waktu yang tepat bagi seorang wanita yang ingin mempersiapkan kehamilannya dengan optimal. Peer education adalah edukasi yang melibatkan peran teman sebaya sebagai edukator dan/ atau fasilitator kesehatan yang terlatih. Peer education atau edukasi kelompok teman sebaya merupakan salah satu metode pendidikan kesehatan yang dikenal efektif untuk memberikan informasi pada remaja.Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah mengoptimalkan kesehatan prakonsepsi wanita usia subur khususnya remaja melalui peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan perawatan prakonsepsi dengan kelompok teman sebaya. Metode pengabdian kepada masyarakat menggunakan metode ceramah, demonstrasi, dan simulasi. Kegiatan ini terdiri dari 4 tahap yaitu pretest, pelatihan edukator, edukasi teman sebaya, dan posttest. Kegiatan bermitra dengan Karang Taruna Tunas Taruna Bhakti, Sugih Waras, Wonorejo, Karanganyar.  Pelatihan edukator dilakukan untuk menyiapkan pengurus karang taruna sebagai agen edukator bagi anggota karang taruna yang lain. Hasil kegiatan menunjukan bahwa edukasi teman sebaya yang bermitra dengan karang taruna efektif untuk memperbaiki tingkat pengetahuan (p=0.000) dan perilaku perawatan prakonsepsi (p=0.000) seluruh anggota karang taruna. Pengurus karang taruna yang telah mendapatkan pelatihan edukator dapat menyebarluaskan pengetahuan yang mereka miliki kepada anggota karang taruna yang lain dan masyarakat secara luas. Simpulan kegiatan ini adalah karang taruna berperan sebagai agen edukasi sebaya yang efektif untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan perilaku perawatan prakonsepsi individu.

Abstract

Background: A major reason for the high maternal mortality rates and infant mortality rates is the disparity in healthcare services available to pregnant versus non-pregnant women. Preconception care encompasses various issues, including preventive medical practices and lifestyle changes. Factors such as age, history of antenatal care visits, parity, previous health conditions, and awareness of preconception care are known to affect the preconception care actions of women of childbearing age.Method: This study aims to determine preconception care practices and the factors that influence them. This study is a cross-sectional study. The study was conducted at the Sangkrah Community Health Center, Surakarta. The research instruments were questionnaires on socio-economics and demographics, obstetrics, gynecology and health history, and preconception care practices. Data analysis used the Chi Square statistical test and logistic regression.Result: The results showed that the variables of occupation (p=0.024) and level of knowledge (p=0.017) had a multivariate effect on the preconception care practices of pregnant women served at the Sangkrah Community Health Center in Surakarta, while the variables of education level, gravida, and parity had p-values >0.05. Prenatal care practices were 66.1% influenced by occupational and knowledge level factors, while the remaining 33.9% were influenced by other factors not examined in this study.Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that the most significant factors influencing prenatal care practices among pregnant women served at the Sangkrah Community Health Center in Surakarta are occupation and knowledge level.
