Abstract

This study aims at determining the extent to which aspects of scientific literacy that consist of science as a body knowledge, science as the way of investigating, science as the way of thinking, and interaction among of science technology and society presented in the teacher book . The source of research data is an integrated thematic teacher book grade IV theme 3 concerned about the living creatures. The research study uses descriptive analysis to describe the aspects of scientific literacy. The analysis uses instruments that adopted from Chiapetta, Sethna and Filman in Padayache. The result of the analysis showed that two important findings: 1) aspect of science as a body of knowledge having the highest percentage of the three aspects; 2) Not all of indicators of the aspects found in the teacher book guide. Abstract

Science Process Skills (SPS) are all scientific skills used to acquire, develop, and apply scientific concepts and theories. SPS mastery is not only useful in science learning but also for the daily life of the students. Therefore very important mastery of the ability of the process of science since elementary school age.This study aims to obtain an overview of the students' science process skill profile. The research method used is survey method with research subject that is as much as 16 elementary school in Sumedang regency. Data collection techniques used are test techniques. The data have been obtained and then analyzed by simple statistical analysis.Based on the results of research that has been done can be seen that the ability of SPS in elementary school students in Sumedang regency as a whole is still low that has an average value of 9.8, as well as for every aspect of SPS it is still low with a percentage of 49.7%. There is no gender effect on the difference of students' SPS capability because both male and female students have the same low ability of SPS which is 48.7% and 49.1% respectively.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran tentang Keterampilan Proses Sains (KPS) siswa sekolah dasar setelah dilakukan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan saintifik berbantuan buku ajar berbasis KPS. Penelitian ini juga akan menganalisis hubungan/korelasi antara Keterampilan proses sains dengan kreativitas siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan pretes dan postest one group design. Populasinya siswa di SDN Cipameungpeuk Sumedang dan kelas IV diambil sebagai sampelnya. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara observasi, angket dan tes KPS. Analisis data berdasarkan SPSS menyatakan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan saintifik dengan bantuan buku ajar berbasis KPS berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan KPS siswa. Hasil uji korelasi Pearson menyatakan bahwa terdapat korelasi positif yang signifikan antara KPS dengan kreativitas siswa

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan menyajikan profil soal Penilaian Akhir Semester (PAS) tematik kelas V Sekolah Dasar berdasarkan level berpikir taksonomi Bloom. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik atau pendekatan analisis isi/analisis dokumen sebagai sumber data. Dokumen yang digunakan adalah soal PAS tematik kelas V SD di kecamatan Situraja tahun ajaran 2019/2020 yang berisi 5 tema dan setiap temanya terdapat 2 paket. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa profil Soal PAS Tematik Kelas V di Kecamatan Situraja masih didominasi oleh soal-soal yang mengukur kemampuan berpikir tingkat rendah yaitu sebagian besar soal hanya mengukur level mengetahui (C1) 68%, memahami (C2) 26%, dan menerapkan (C3) 5%. Sedangkan soal yang mengukur level berpikir tingkat tinggi yaitu menganalisis, mengevaluasi dan mengkreasi (C4,C5,C6) dari total jumlah soal 395 butir hanya terdapat tiga butir soal saja atau sekitar 1% dari total keseluruhan

Abstract

Abstrak Mengintegrasikan teknologi dalam pembelajaran, menjadi sebuah keniscayaan di era digital ini. Penggunaan teknologi terutama teknologi digital sudah menjadi bagian penting dalam kehidupan. Oleh karenanya menyiapkan guru yang kompeten dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi menjadi sebuah tugas lembaga pencetak guru. Salah satu kerangka teoretis yang dapat digunakan dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi adalah Tecnological pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK). Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi kemampuan TPACK mahasiswa PGSD Universitas Sebelas April Sumedang (UNSAP) serta menganalisis komponen yang berpengaruh terhadap TPACK mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan survey dengan instrumen kuisioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kemampuan TPACK mahasiswa PGSD UNSAP berada pada kriteria baik, dengan skor persentase TK dan TPK yang paling tinggi. Hasil analisis SEM menggunakan SMART PLS menunjukan dari enam komponen yang berpengaruh secara signifikan adalah komponen pedagogical knowledge (PK), PCK, TCK dan TPK.Kata Kunci: Analisis TPACK, SEM AbstractIntegrating technology in learning has become a necessity in this digital era. The use of technology, especially digital technology, has become an important part of life. Therefore, preparing teachers who are competent in integrating technology is a task for teacher institutions. One of the theoretical frameworks that can be used to integrate technology is Tecnological pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK). This study aims to identify the TPACK abilities of PGSD students at Sebelas April Sumedang University (UNSAP) and analyze the components that affect student TPACK. The method used is a survey with a questionnaire instrument. The results showed that the TPACK ability of PGSD UNSAP students was in good criteria, with the highest TK and TPK percentage scores. The results of SEM analysis using SMART PLS show that of the six components that have a significant effect, namely the pedagogical knowledge (PK) component, PCK, TCK and TPK.Keywords: TPACK analysis, SEM

Abstract

Understanding the Nature of science (NOS) is very important in the process of learning science in the digital era. Understanding the nature of good science is expected to minimize conceptual errors. This study aims to identify pre-service student responses and elementary school teachers related to understanding the nature of science in the digital age. The type of research conducted is quantitative descriptive with survey method. The study sample consisted of students and elementary school teachers in Sumedang. The instrument used was a questionnaire with 28 statements using a Likert scale. The results of the study stated that the response of students and teachers to the understanding of science in the digital era was in the good category with a percentage of 68.7%. Further analysis using one way ANOVA turned out to have a significant difference between students' understanding of level 3 and 5. The understanding of male and female NOS was not significantly different. While teachers who have been certified have a better average understanding than teachers who have not been certified

Abstract

Mastering science process skill is very beneficial in problem solving process. This research aimed to develop teaching materials such as science process skill-based textbooks on energy and its changes. The method used in this research was research and development, by using the 4D design, which include define, design, develop, and disseminate. Research and development method were used to produce a product and to test its efficiency. The result showed that the learning material fulfill the assessment criteria. The mean validation result of textbook showed a number of 3.58 indicated as a good category. Based on T test, it was proven that the use of textbooks is indeed influential towards the development of students’ science process skill.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran secara komprehensif kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar (PGSD) setelah memperoleh pembelajaran dengan model Read-Answer-Discuss-and Create (RADEC) berbasis masalah. Metode yang digunakan mix method yaitu mendeskrifsikan secara kualitatif proses pembelajaran RADEC, serta menguji signifikansi perbedaan skor nilai sebelum dan setelah pembelajaran. Desain penelitian menggunakan pretes dan postes one grup desain.Instrumen yang digunakan mengembangkan indicator dari Ennes. Hasilnya menyatakan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran, serta model RADEC berorientasi masalah berpengaruh menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze teachers' strategies in integrating technology into the teaching of the water cycle material to enhance students' understanding and support 21st-century competencies, such as critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research involved four teachers teaching 5th-grade elementary school students in Sumedang Regency. The teachers had previously received TPACK training using a collaborative, practical, and reflective approach. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews with teachers, and analysis of instructional documents.The findings reveal that teachers utilized various technological media, such as animated videos, digital simulations, and interactive PowerPoint presentations, to explain the water cycle concepts in a more engaging and comprehensible manner. Additionally, online learning platforms were employed to facilitate group discussions and student collaboration. These strategies not only improved students' understanding of the water cycle but also fostered 21st-century skills, such as collaboration, problem-solving, and creativity. However, challenges such as limited access to technology and students' digital literacy need to be addressed. This study recommends the principles of collaboration, practice, and reflection in conducting intensive training for teachers to enhance their ability to effectively utilize technology in the learning process.

Abstract

Integrating technology into the learning process requires teachers to possess strong Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK). This study examines the impact of a training approach based on collaboration, practice, and reflection in enhancing elementary school teachers' TPACK and teaching abilities. The research employs a mixed-methods approach with an embedded experimental design. The training participants, totaling 84 individuals, were randomly divided into experimental and control groups, with the subjects participating in a training program designed to promote teacher collaboration, provide hands-on practice experiences, and integrate reflective learning. The instruments include a TPACK questionnaire, lesson plan (RPP) observation sheets, and classroom teaching practice observation sheets. Data analysis was conducted using difference tests and correlation tests. The findings reveal that this training approach significantly improved teachers' understanding and application of TPACK in classroom learning contexts. There was a significant difference in TPACK knowledge between participants in the experimental group and those in the control group. Additionally, this study emphasizes the importance of reflective practice in strengthening the integration of technology, pedagogy, and content knowledge. These findings provide valuable insights for designing professional development programs for educators to effectively enhance their technological and pedagogical competencies.
