Abstract

This paper discusses the problem regarding to the integrative knowledgeconcept at the four Islamic higher education —namely the State Islamic University,(UIN Sunan Kalijaga) Yogyakarta, the Indonesia Islamic University (UII) Yogyakarta,the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (UMS), and the Wahid Hasyim Universityof Semarang (UNWAHAS). This is a field research study with using the snow balltechnique and the focus of discussion group for interview toward the primary resourcepersons, and using the crucial documents from the subjects elected with using the eclecticdata analyzes. This study uses a history-phenomenology perspective.The result of study toward the four universities put into practice in difference conceptfor each universities regarding to the new form on the relation of modern sciences andIslam as an effort completely building of Islamic sciences. The Sate Islamic University,Sunan Kalijaga, Yogyakarta follows the concept of integrative-interconnected knowledgewith combining the Islamic Knowledge Wealth, hadlarah al-nash, hadharah alfalsafah,and hadlarah al-’ilm. UII gave their lectures on having free choice to theconcept of Islamization of Knowledge, Scientification of Islam, and/or Integrative-Interconnected Knowledge. UII also takes the developing model on the concept of IslamicUniversity. UMS is more closely with the concept of interconnective knowledge withstrongly promoting to the Islamic economy, the professional medical doctor, the newruling elite in politics, and other sector in the life. UNWAHAS has not use an integrativeinterconnectedconcept but promoting the values of Islam (ruh) to appreciate the choiceof knowledge paradigm between scientification of Islam and integrativeinterconnectedknowledge.Key words: modern sciences; Islam; integrative knowledge.Makalah ini membahas konsep integrasi keilmuan di empat perguruan tinggiIslam, yaitu Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Kalijaga, Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII)Yogyakarta dan Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) Surakarta danUniversitas Wahid Hasyim (UNWAHAS) Semarang. Hasil penelitian tentang Perdebatan tentang hubungan agamadan sains akhir-akhir ini menarik didiskusikan,karena terdapat beragam pendapattipologi hubungan keduanya.1Di antara tipologiitu yang sering menjadi sorotan ialahmasalah integrasi ilmu dan agama.Isu bertambahmenarik karena, pertama, pandangantentang kapan agama memberi spiritdalam pengembangan sains dan bagaimanakeduanya (sains dan agama) berjumpa.2 Kedua,dalam ranah kelembagaan pendidikandi Indonesia, isu itu menjadi lebih kompleksketika terjadi perluasan mandat wilayahkeilmuan IAIN. Semula IAIN hanya mengelolaprogam studi mayoritas ilmu-ilmuagama bertransformasi menjadi UIN yangmengelola beragam program studi, tambahanprogram studi itu di antaranya ialahprogam studi ilmu–ilmu sosial-humaniora,progam studi sains dan teknologi.Mulai tahun 2002-2004 tiga IAIN diIndonesia menjadi Universitas Islam Negeri:(1) UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta,(2) UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, (3)UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim, Malang.3Transformasi dari IAIN ke UIN menandakandimulainya gagasan integrasi sainsIslam dengan sains sekuler, dalam Univerkonsepkeilmuan ini adalah bahwa format baru hubungan sains dan Islam dalam upayamembangun sains Islam seutuhnya di perguruan tinggi berbeda-beda dan memilikidistingsi masing-masing. Di UIN Sunan Kalijaga menganut paradigma integrasiinrerkoneksikeilmuan dengan merajut trilogi khazanah keilmuan hadlarah al-nash,hadharah al-falsafah, dan hadlarah al-’ilm. UII memberikan kebebasan kepada tenagapengajarnya mengambil pilihan paradigma keilmuan bisa islamization of knowledge,scientification of Islam, integration-interconnection). UMS lebih dekat pada konsepinterkoneksi dengan penekanan kuat kearah ekonomi Islam, tenaga medis kesehatan “dokterprofesional, membangun elit baru di dunia politik dan sektor-sektor yang lain. Unwahastidak menggunakan konsep integrasi-interkoneksi tetapi mengedepankan ruh Islam untukmengapresiasi pilihan paradigma keilmuan antara scientifation of Islam dan integrationinterconnetion.Keunikan konsep dasar keilmuan Unwahas adalah lahir atas pemikirandan prakarsa para ulama, intelektual, dan pengurus Jam’iyyah Nahdlatul ‘Ulama,diantaranya adalah menggunakan sistem pesantrenisasi tahfidul quran.Kata Kunci: sains modern; Islam; integrasi keilmuan.

Abstract

AbstractThree founders thinkers of  relationship between science and religion or Islamic science builders (1) Seyyed Hossein Nasr, (2) Ziauddin Sardar, and (3) Mehdi Golshani have different characteritics, eventhough their three thinking were completing each other. Nasr is more for answering the deserting of the west thinking. Sardar is more systematic and methodologic but his tendency against the west. And Golshani is reconciliate with the formulation of “ Qawliyyah” and “Kawniyyah”, phisical and metaphisical, using science for approving trancedent reality. The scientific integration article or the new formulation relationship of modern science and Islam (scientific integration study case of Three Islamic State University UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogjakarta, and, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang), as the effort for developing Islamic science wholly. Abstract

Abstract: This article discusses about the pathology of law enforcement against corruption. The pathology of law enforcement against corruption is due to the low moral integrity of the law enforcement apparatus, the government’s bureaucratic system that impedes the law enforcement process, and the unusual relationship between local government and legal institutions. The solutions for the law enforcement against corruption are: (1) working together among communities, media, and NGOs to control and supervise the behavior of law enforcement officials; (2) the government bureaucracy system should have well conceptualized system especially in relation to legal institutions; (3) and improvement of the political system in the region by blocking access to negotiations between local governments and law institutions. Keywords: Pathology, law enforcement, criminal act of corruption. Abstrak: Artikel ini membahas tentang patologi penegakan hukum terhadap tindak pidana korupsi. Patologi penegakan hukum terhadap tindak pidana korupsi dikarenakan beberpa hal, di antaranya rendahnya integritas moral aparat penegak hukum, sistem birokrasi pemerintah yang menghambat proses penegakan hukum, dan hubungan tidak lazim antara pemerintah daerah dan lembaga hukum. Terapi atau solusi terhadap patologi penegakan hukum terhadap tindak pidana korupsi diantaranya adalah hendaknya masyarakat bersama media dan LSM mengkontrol dan mengawasi perilaku para penegak hukum, sistem birokrasi pemerintah hendaknya dikonsep dengan baik terutama hubungannya dengan lembaga hukum ketika menuntut adanya bukti dari pemerintah, dan perbaikan sistem politik di daerah, dengan menutup akses terjadinya negosiasi antara pemerintah daerah dengan lembaga hukum. Kata Kunci: Patologi, penegakan hukum, tindak pidana korupsi.

Abstract

Ibn Kaṡīr’s approach to simplifying and expanding meaning through the citation of various riwayat suggests a subjective tendency in his interpretation. This study aims to uncover Ibn Kaṡīr’s subjective narratives by analyzing his selection and organization of riwāyah, comparing them to the interpretations of earlier scholars who followed similar criteria. The research employs a qualitative methodology, utilizing Julia Kristeva's intertextual analysis model, and focuses on the exegesis of QS. al-Baqarah [2]: 21-22. The study reveals that Ibn Kaṡīr utilized mechanisms of transformation, transposition, and opposition in relation to previous interpretations when explaining these verses. He appears to have distorted the meanings of existing narrations to support his own views, which can be observed in the way he adjusted certain narrations for use in his interpretative process. The variety of narrations provided by earlier scholars is summarized by Ibn Kaṡīr to align with his intended meaning. His selective presentation of certain narrations over others that have equal interpretative potential results in an identity of meaning consistent with his inclination towards Ibn Taymīyah’s interpretative approach. However, unlike Ibn Taymīyah, Ibn Kaṡīr tends to rely on favored narrations to establish a singular meaning. This subjective tendency influences the formation of an interpretative model that emphasizes a subject-object relationship, wherein the Qur'an's own context is overshadowed by the interpreter's will as a subject.

Abstract

The equal education program is designed to expand access to educational services for the community in order to improve the quality of human resources with character. PKBM Ash-Shoddiq as a provider of equal education that grows from, by and for the community contributes to producing graduates with character. The aim of this research is to describe data regarding the application of character values in the equality education program at PKBM Ash-Shoddiq. The theoretical study used is the concept of character education and equality education programs. The research approach used is a qualitative approach with a case method. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, literature study, documentation and observation. The research subjects were managers, tutors, learning residents and the foundation's board of trustees. The research results show that the application of character values in the equality education program is carried out in an integrated and holistic manner that combines character values and life skills education. The character values that are built are politeness, healthy lifestyle, independence, usefulness, having work and filial piety, where in the holistic-integration approach, the tutor's competence in developing the character and life skills of students is not separated from their competence in teaching academic subjects. On the contrary, both are considered an integral part of the tutor's responsibility in forming individuals with integrity and potential. The researcher concluded that this approach recognizes the importance of developing the character of students in a balanced manner with the mastery of academic knowledge and life skills.

Abstract

Controversies surrounding the interpretation of Qur’anic verses through textual and contextual approaches have intensified, sparking intense debate among scholars, practitioners, and having widespread social implications. Interpretations that focus solely on the textual dimension, without considering the historical and sociocultural contexts, frequently lead to misunderstandings and may even be exploited by certain groups to justify extremist acts. Conversely, the contextual approach provides a more inclusive alternative by emphasizing the relevance of Qur’anic values to contemporary challenges, though it often faces criticism for allegedly compromising textual authenticity. This study aims to propose a synthesis of both approaches in order to achieve a more comprehensive and responsive understanding. Employing a library-based research method and critical analysis of pertinent literature on these two interpretive typologies, the findings indicate that integrating textual and contextual perspectives can prevent distorted interpretations, preserve textual authenticity, and simultaneously address social dynamics. As a result, the understanding of the Qur’an is no longer trapped in a rigid textual-contextual dichotomy but rather moves toward a more balanced and adaptive interpretation

Abstract

This article tries to analyze the idea of artificial intelligence (AL) as a form of internet-based technology development, in the perspective of justice restoration theory and progressive law. The method used in this research is normative juridical with a theoretical approach and legal concept. The principles contained in the concept of restoration of justice and progressive law as an approach in resolving legal cases that occur, function as an analytical tool for artificial intelligence operations in resolving a legal case that occurs. Al's operations in solving cases were not parallel or in the same breath with the principles of restoration of justice and progressive law.Keyword: Artificial intelligence, Restoration of Justice, Progressive Law

Abstract

Law enforcement in drug smuggling cases in Indonesia often faces serious challenges that have the potential to violate human rights (HR). These violations may occur at various stages of the legal process, including arrest, investigation, and sentencing, particularly against vulnerable suspects. In this context, legal political policies are a key element in ensuring that law enforcement aligns with HR principles. However, concerns remain regarding the extent to which these policies integrate HR protections while facing implementation challenges such as lack of oversight, limited awareness among law enforcement officers about HR values, and political and social pressures. This study aims to analyze the potential HR violations in handling drug smuggling cases, evaluate the existing legal political policies, and identify the obstacles and relevant solutions to enhance HR protection. This research employs a normative juridical method by analyzing legislation, policy documents, and case studies. The findings reveal that potential HR violations in drug smuggling cases often involve actions such as torture, arbitrary detention, and limited access to legal assistance. Indonesia's legal political policies indicate the existence of regulations incorporating HR principles, yet their implementation remains suboptimal due to weak oversight and gaps in law enforcement practices. Key obstacles include limited capacity of law enforcement officers, budget constraints, and social stigma against drug offenders. To address these issues, it is necessary to improve training for law enforcement officers, strengthen oversight mechanisms, and revise policies to ensure comprehensive integration of HR protections into the legal process.
