Abstract

The goal of this research is to know the communication pattern used by lesbians in the Srikandi Dewata Community in the process of developing interpersonal relationship up to the stage of intimacy to be a lover. This research uses descriptive qualitative type. Informants were selected by purposive and snowball techniques. Data were obtained by using in-depth interview technique, direct observation, and documentation study. Data analysis techniques used in this study through several stages namely, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results showed that lesbians within the Srikandi Dewata Community used four patterns of communication in the process of developing relationships to the stage of intimacy to become lovers. First is the primary communication pattern in which they use verbal and non verbal communication in the development of their relationship. Second is the pattern of secondary communication, they use the second channel or media in the delivery of messages, namely mobile and use of chat applications. Third is a linear communication pattern, this communication pattern is formed from the stages and process of developing their interpersonal relationship, from interpersonal communication stage, contact stage, stage of engagement, and stage of intimacy. Fourth is the circular communication pattern, this pattern is used in the stage of involvement and stage of familiarity to know the respond an feedback from the message given from the communication to the communicator. Abstract

ABSTRACT Film as a mass media is a tool that is used to spread a message to the community. Can also be used to channel various ideas and it can also bring up a plurality of effects after it is aired. One of South Korean Film that brought up an effect after its screening is Silenced. Through qualitative research methods with literature study, researcher found an agenda setting process from Silenced towards the South Korean government policy’s agenda about sexual crime. Media’s agenda brought up a sexual abused issue that is interacting with public of South Korea’s agenda then interacts with the government policy’s agenda about sexual crime. This shows that Silenced Film’s agenda setting has a connection with South Korean government policy’s agenda about sexual crime. Keywords: South Korea, Film, Sexual Crime, Agenda Setting

Abstract

ABSTRACT Ulu Apad Organization is one of the traditional organizations in Bali which specializes in religious concern especially praying to the god. In Bali Ulu Apad begins since 200 M. In an organization, communication is an essential part which can determine the existence of the organization. Determining a certain communication patterns used in an organization means the communication process can be determined. The purpose of this study was to determine the communication pattern of the traditional organization of Ulu Apad in Buahan Kaja Village, Gianyar Regency. The study referred to the experiment by Leavit (1951) who divided the communication pattern into 5 parts, namely round pattern, chain pattern, wheel pattern, Y pattern and all channeled pattern. This study was qualitative study. The technique in determining the informans was purposive. The data obtained from the result of interviews, observation and documentation study. The technique used in analyzing the data was interactive analysis model from Miles & Huberman. The results showed that there was a different communication pattern in every activity of Ulu Apad organization; that is, in the formal meeting, the communication pattern used was Y pattern, in preparing malang, the pattern used was all channel pattern. Additionally, in the activity of making the lauk urap and serving malang offering, the pattern used was the wheel pattern. Abstract

ABSTRACT According to the WHO data in 2018, the number of smokers in Indonesia is the third highest in the world (WHO, 2008). The hypothesis says the influence of advertising is one of the factors that cause teens to smoke. These studies use quantitative methods of positivist paradigm is associative. The sampling technique is a non-probability sampling and the method used is the purposive sampling. The data obtained by disseminating a questionnaire. From the results of data analysis through the SPSS program, there are three interpretations, firstly the relationship between Ho an H1 is stated to be very weak. Second, the relationship between the two variables was declared insignificant. Third, the direction of the relationship is unknown because there is no significant relationship between variables X and Y in this study. So, in this study Ho is accepted and H1 is rejected. Abstract

ABSTRACT In realizing the transparency of Public Information according to Undang-Undang Number 14 in year 2008 about Public Disclosure, Police of the Republic Indonesia ratified the legislation Peraturan Kapolri Number 16  in year 2010. That regulation must be executed by all the member of Polri from the central level to the regional unity, such as Polresta Denpasar, At the level of Polresta, Documentation and Information Management Carried by public relations. In carrying out the duties to provide a public informations services, the public relations of Polresta Denpasar implement a variety of public relations strategy. In analyzing it, this research is using the method or approaching strategy of Rusady Ruslan’s public relations. This is a descriptive qualitative research by using a triangulation techniques. This study has shown implementation of Polresta Denpasar run their duties and responsibility as a public relations as well as Document and Information Management officer. In practice, public relations of Polresta Denpasar  has used several of public relations strategies based on the types information which can be delivered to the public accordance with  Perkap Number 16 in year 2010. In delivering the informations indirectly, Public Realtions of Polresta Denpasar used the social media, website and email. Other than that, Public Relations of Polresta Denpasar also serves the request for indirect information by utilizing the public services of Public Information Centre (PIC). The Indonesian government has obliged companies to carry out CSR programs. This has been stated in the Undang-Undang Dasar Republik IndonesiaLNo. 40OofI2007IconcerningIlimitedIliabilityicompanies. CSR has now been implemented in many companies in Indonesia. One company that runs the CSR program is PT Tirta Investama AQUA Mambal. Abstract

ABSTRACT The police in Indonesia are known as Polri or Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia. As law enforcer, the police is the most respected profession of the community. But in fact, when the police are on duty, instead received a lot of negative stigma from the wide community for several reasons. As if responding to these problems, NET. TV collaborated with Polri to produce television program which showing police actions and other information about the humanist side of the police entitled “86”. This study aims to see how television as a mass media that has the most dominant power in influencing the perception of its audience. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of “86” program on NET. TV toward perception of audience in Denpasar city about Polri. This study applies quantitative research method in the form of explanative survey. This survey uses 120 sampels in Denpasar city to be used as research respondents. This research was used purposive sampling as the technique. The data analysis technique used is a simple linier regression test that is proscessed using computational calculation SPSS 23 program. The results showed that exposure of “86” program on NET. TV has a positive impact significanlty toward perception of audience in Denpasar city about Polri. That means when exposure of “86” program on NET. TV increasing, the perception of audience in Denpasar city about Polri will be better. Abstract

ABSTRACT YouTube is the most favorite medium of view. The hgh traffic of YouTube visitors becomes the main attraction for companies to advertise in it. Web series is one of the forms of internet viewing on YouTube. Web series with soft selling technique seeks to create the impression and appeal emotionally so that a brand can be remembered through the terms of stories brought. The web series "Sore" is a web-series of advertised ads and has been watched by over 1 million viewers and was awarded as the Best Branded Video Content of the Year in XYZ Day 2018. The "Sore" web series was created as a method to introduce Tropicana Slim Stevia widely to the public. Basically the essence of advertising activity is to arouse a continuing intention on consumer action. The purpose of this study is to explain the exposure relationship web series "Sore" with the intention to buy Tropicana Slim Stevia on Denpasar Society. This study uses associative quantitative method. The sampling technique used in this research is non-probability sampling with purposive sampling method. The data is obtained by distributing questionnaires. Data analysis technique used in this research is test of construct validity, Cronbach Alpha technique reliability test and correlation test using Pearson Product Moment Correlation technique. The results show that there is a relationship between web exposure series "Sore" with the intention to buy Tropicana Slim Stevia on Denpasar Society. The direction of the relationship between exposure variable web series "Sore" with the intention to buy Tropicana Slim Stevia on Denpasar society depicted the same direction, which means themore people of Denpasar experienced web series "Sore", then the intention of buying of Denpasar people in Tropicana Slim Stevia will be higher. ABSTRACTd In 2018, the election of governor and deputy governor ofcBali for the period of 2018-2023 was conducted. Tabanan Regency has the highest electoral participation rate of 81.34%. This research aims to see how Instagram @tribunbali influence the political participation of the novice voters in Tabanan Regency. This research uses quantitative explanatory methods with uses and effects theory. The data analysis technique is a simple linearwregression analysis with SPSS 18 program. The results of this research showed the news of the election of governor and deputywgovernorwof Bali 2018 on Instagram @tribunbali have a positive influence on the political participation of novice voters in Tabanan Regency. When the news of the governor and deputy governor of Bali election on Instagram @tribunbali increased, political participation of novice voters in Tabanan Regency is getting higher. Abstract

The advancement of technology and people’s desires to obtain items instantly, has made online-based business began to spread. LAZADA is one of the e-commerce site and startup with the biggest funding value in Southeast Asia. To increase sales, online shopping site can be often found in advertising world. Although there are many mass media channel, television is still the first choice to adverties many companies’s products. The purpose of this study is to find out the relation between LAZADA’s advertising exposure in television with the purchase interest of Denpasar’s citizen. This research used positivism paradigm, with asociatif descriptive quantitative approach. Sample were selected by nonprobability purposive sampling technique, and data were obtained by distributing questionnaires. The several stages of analyzing techniques used in this research are statistical data analysis techniques of frequency distribution, cross tabulation with data processing using SPSS program computational calculation and conclusions drawing. The results showed that there is a relation between LAZADA’s advertising exposure in television with the purchase interest of denpasar’s citizen. The relation of the two variable can be considered in the same direction, it means more often people exposed to LAZADA’s advertisement in television, the higher their purchase interest are.
