Abstract

ABSTRACT Leadership is important part of communication in an organization for attaining the goals of the organization. Leadership communication is a form of assessment of an organization to know that organization has achieved the goal or not, we could see it through by employees’ performance. When organization’s leader can communicate well to the employees, it will affect the performance of the employees, so they can achieve the organization goal. This research intent to find out relation among the leadership communication on employees’ performance at PT. Pink Services Indonesia Branch Bali. This research uses quantitative method that is associative. In this research uses census or total sampling. The data is obtained by distributing questionnaires. In this research used the correlation Spearman Rank. The results reveal that found relation among the communication leadership on performance of employees at PT. Pink Services Indonesia Branch Bali. The direction of the relation between the communication leadership variables with employees’ performance at PT. Pink Services Indonesia Branch Bali depicted the same direction, it means that if the leader of company can communicate well with the employees, then the employees will show better performance. Abstract

ABSTRACT In this era of increasingly sophisticated technology, humans no longer spread information only through printed media. But also through the internet media. One of them is social media like @exploreBali, an Instagram account that inform Bali’s tourist destinations. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between exposure of @exploreBali social media Instagram with the intention of @exploreBali’s Instagram followers to visit Bali. This research uses quantitative method. Sampling technique used in this research is non-probability sampling and the method is purposive samplng. Data were obtained by distributing questionnaires. The results showed that there is a correlation between exposure of @exploreBali social media Instagram with the intention of @explorebali followers to visit Bali. The direction of correlation between the variables of @exploreBali Social Media Instagram with @exploreBali followers intention to travel to Bali is known to be positive and unidirectional. Which means the more frequent @exploreBali’s followers is exposed to @exploreBali social media Instagramthen the intention of @exploreBali’s followers to travel to Bali will be higher. On the other hand, this research shows only the conviction indicator is high, while the purchase indicator is relatively low. Abstract

ABSTRACT The effectiveness of advertising is a condition to what extent the effect of the message conveyed by an advertisement can attract attention, be understood, arouse emotions and move the target to respond in accordance with what is desired. The biggest contribution in the growth of television advertising industry spending in 2018 came from Pantene products. Pantene's massive television advertising expenditure was also accompanied by advertising on YouTube. This study aims to illustrate how the effectiveness of Pantene adverts on television and YouTube on the Denpasar City community compares. The3sampling=technique-in+this=study0is12non-probabilityDDsampling using purposive12sampling00method. The data in+thisPstudy were obtained byKLdistributingMKPquestionnairesBNKand measured usingL a Likert*scale. The8analysisPtechnique88used==in this study isKthe average calculation and=T-Test.WWTheBresultsSshowed3that2there9were(significantOdifferences_between Pantene ads on television and YouTube in the Denpasar City community. Abstract

ABSTRACT Pluralism comes from the word plural and isn, plural which means plural, whereas isn means to understand. The Question Mark tells about religious pluralism in Indonesia. Where conflicts between religions have become common, and a long history of violence and discrimination against Chinese in Indonesia. This film tells about three families who live in a village, in Semarang, Central Java. The purpose of this research is to find out the representation of the plurarism issues of the Indonesian people who are contained in the Question Mark Film. Based on the analysis of the related scenes using the semiotic method of Charles S. Peirce in the film, it shows that pluralism in the film Question Mark occurs in the daily lives of the community life Semarang. This study concluded that the Question Mark Film presented acts of pluralism that emerged in the form of dialogue, and behavior. Keywords: Representation, Pluralism, Tolerance, Semiotics.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine and identify how forms of interpersonal communication that occur in psychiatrists and mental patients (depression) as well as to know and identify how the communication process barriers that occur in psychiatrists and mental disorders patients (depression). The results show that the SMC clinic uses the principles of therapeutic communication that also has similarities with the basic principles of interpersonal communication, including: therapeutic communication is a transaction process, the relationship in therapeutic communication is seen as a complementary relationship, therapeutic communication has dimensions of content and relationships , therapeutic communication is an adjustment process, therapeutic communication is a series of punctuation events, therapeutic communication is inevitable, irreversible and cannot be repeated. Abstract

ABSTRACT YouTube as a medium for channeling people’s creativity, It can also be conducted through the internet one of them is through make up tutorial vlog on YouTube in which the contents usually contain complete information steps to apply makeup. Purpose of this research is to study the correlation of exposure towards makeup tutorial vlog on YouTube towards the interest to learn makeup on Denpasar teenagers. This research uses quantitative method. The sample collecting method is non-probability sampling. Data is obtained through questionnaire. The result of this research showed that the correlation of exposure towards makeup tutorial vlog on YouTube towards the interest to learn makeup on Denpasar teenagers indicated as positive and in the same direction, meaning that the more exposed Denpasar teenagers to makeup tutorial vlog on YouTube, the higher the interest of Denpasar teenagers to learn makeup. Abstract

ABSTRACT Wattpad is a social media including social media category with the main characteristics of the social networking site is user-generated-content. New media give rise to participatory culture, whichis participatory culture is an example of fan culture or fandom, where fans not only consume but also produce and distribute. Like fans who are author Chanbaekshipper, which is OTP fandom with slash pairing using Wattpad to process media content fandom (fanfiction). This research aims to identify and explain the motivation author Chanbaekshipper in using Wattpad. The method used is descriptive method which is a qualitative research. The results from this study is that there are couple of motivation author chanbaekshipper in using Wattpad, interpersonal utility, passtime, information seeking, convenience and entertainment. Author chanbaekshipper not only act as producers who produces fanfiction but they also consumers who consume and a disributor who distributes the fanfiction that they created Wattpad. Abstract

ABSTRACT The growth of population and the lack of awareness of the public to keep the environment have a direct impact on increasing the volume of garbage and sewage in the city of Denpasar. Production of garbage in the city of Denpasar has increased each year, from 2016 the volume of a garbage reached 850 tons in day and 900 tons in 2017. Malu Dong Community moved to eradicate such phenomena and do a communication strategy. This research aims to provide an overview and explanation of the related communication strategy undertaken by the MDC in educating the public to care about the cleanliness of the environment. The object of this research is Malu Dong Community. type of this research is a descriptive qualitative data collection techniques form of interviews, observation, and document Studies. The results of this research are as follows, MDC are educating their audience by collecting litters in the middle of crowds and targeting each of their audience with different approach, and also they are utilizing outdoor media, for example, flags in order to properly deliver a message to their target audiences. ABSTRACT Hotman Paris Show is a talk show program that is aired on iNews TV and also had a large audience on YouTube. This study aimed to find out what theRmotive and how the satisfactionRof teenager in the city ofFDenpasar in watching Hotman Paris Show. This research used the theory ofEUses and Gratifications and usedDdescriptive quantitative method. SamplingFtechnique in this research wasSpurposive sampling. Data wereFobtained by distributing questionnairesFusing Likert scale. TheAanalytical technique usedd is descriptive statistics by looking at the mmean score of motives and ssatisfaction. The results showedDthat there are one motives that can be ssatisfied in watching tthe Hotman Paris Show that is the motif of information. Motives that can not be satisfied in watching the Hotman Paris Show is the motive of personal identity ,integrity and social interaction and the motiveFof entertainment. Abstract

ABSTRACT Wattpad is an online platform that provides varieties of prose essays, such as novels. The presence of Wattpad makes it easy for novel connoisseurs to be able to read novels in digital form. This research aims to find out the motives and the satisfaction of youth in Denpasar City in reading novels on Wattpad. In this study combining motives put forward by Dennis McQuail and Zizi Papacharissi and Alan M. Rubin. The theory used is The Theory Uses and Gratifications. This research is descriptive quantitative method with purposive sampling as the technique. Data obtained by using Likert scale in questionnaire. The result shows five of the seven motives that could be satisfied are entertainment motive, convenience motive, pass time motive, information motive and utility motive. Motives that have not been able to be satisfied are personal identity motive and integration and social interaction motive. Keywords: Denpasar, Motives, Satisfaction, Wattpad, Youth
