Abstract

 Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktifitas siswa dan prestasi belajar mereka serta melalui model kooperatif pembelajaran tipe TPS dibantu dengan  *Penulis korespondensi : Evrialiani Rosba. Prodi Pendidikan Biologi STKIP PGRI Sumatera baratEmail: rosba.evrialiani@gmail.comVol. 1, No. 1, 2015                                          Peningkatan Hasil Belajar dengan Think Pair Share lembar kerja siswa. Berdasarkan penelitian peneliti sebelumnya di SMP Taman Siswa Padang, ditemukan kegiatan dengan jumlah siswa dalam memperhatikan penjelasan guru dan mengajukan pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang masih rendah. Akibatnya, para siswa tidak mampu memahami konsep pembelajaran secara optimal dan prestasi mereka  yang rendah dalam belajar.  Ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan terhadap mahasiswa tahun pertama di SMP Taman Siswa Padang. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus di mana setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, bertindak, mengamati dan refleksi. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan peneliti terhadap siswa pada kegiatan belajar dari siklus I ke siklus II, ada peningkatan jumlah kegiatan siswa yang terdiri dari dua indikator: kegiatan memperhatikan penjelasan guru 67% dan kegiatan dalam menyelesaikan lembar kerja siswa 79%. Kegiatan siswa dalam siklus pertama dalam kategori baik. Pada siklus kedua, ada empat indikator yang diamati: kegiatan siswa memperhatikan penjelasan guru 98%, kegiatan siswa dalam menyelesaikan lembar kerja siswa100%,   kegiatan   siswa   dalam   membahas   84%   dan   kegiatan   siswa   dalam mengoreksi lembar kerja siswa 100%. Kegiatan siswa dalam siklus kedua adalah dalam kategori sangat baik. Prestasi belajar siswa meningkat dari 50% pada siklus I   menjadi   83%   pada   siklus   II.   Berdasarkan   hasil   penelitian,   peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS dibantu  dengan  worksheet  siswa  dapat  meningkatkan  kegiatan  tahun  pertama siswa dan prestasi belajar mereka pada pelajaran biologi di SMP Taman Siswa Padang.

Abstract

Abstract

One of the biggest pests in rice plants were walang sangit (Leptocorisa acuta Thunb.) Where an attack by sucking plant fluids resulting grain hollow and fragile in the mill. In case of severe attack can reduce rice yields reached 100%. Attempts to control this pest is mostly done with synthetic pesticides. The use of synthetic pesticides can result in damage to the environment. To overcome such effects it is necessary to control that do not pollute the environment. One way to use botanical pesticides, namely yam seed extract. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect on the control of yam seed extract walang sangit (Leptocorisa acuta Thunb.) In rice plants. This study uses a completely randomized design (CRD) with 6 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments were A (0 g / L, B (10 g / L), C (15 g / L), D (20 g / L), E (25 g / L), F (30 g / L). Data mortality observations were analyzed by analysis of variance and continued with DNMRT test. Data were collected for the time of death walang sangit (L.acuta Thunb.) and mortality walang sangit (L.acuta Thunb). The results showed that the death walang sangit (L. acuta Thunb) The fastest is at a concentration of 30 g / L is 4.7 days and the slowest was 12.67 days, whereas the mortality walang sangit (L.acuta Thunb.) is the highest is at a concentration of 30 g / L is 63.3% and the lowest concentration of 0 g / L of 5%

Abstract

Limited teaching materials used by teachers and students such as printed books make it difficult for teachers to provide explanations and students find it difficult to understand learning outside of school. The textbooks used in general are good but need to be updated because the pictures presented in the printed books are not clear and are in black and white. Teachers rarely use modules and teachers never use web-based teaching materials. With internet facilities that are already available, teachers can further improve the quality of learning activities, such as using web-based teaching materials as learning resources. Therefore, by utilizing the internet as a learning resource, simple teaching materials are needed, namely website-based modules. This study validates a web-based module on ecosystem material for class X SMA. website based. The method used in this research is development (Research & Development) with the ADDIE model. The stages of development research are carried out with several stages that have been modified according to the needs of researchers, namely: 1) the analysis stage; 2) the design stage (design); and 3) development stage. At the analysis stage, needs analysis is carried out, at the design stage, modules are compiled, and at the development stage, expert validation is carried out. The instrument used in this study is a validation sheet which includes validation of the feasibility of content, language, presentation, graphics, and media use. The results showed that the validity of the website-based module was very valid with an average of 91%. Based on these results it can be concluded that the resulting website-based module is very valid and suitable for use as teaching material.

Abstract

Developments in technology and information affect the management of teaching materials. E-Module is one of the innovative digital teaching materials that can be used to support the learning process. The purpose of this research is to produce a valid E-Module. This research was conducted at the Department of Biology Education, Faculty of Science and Technology, West Sumatra PGRI University using a 4D model (Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate). However, this research only reached the development stage. The assessment instrument used is the E-Module validation sheet. The data obtained were analyzed by descriptive quantitative. Based on the results obtained from material experts, media experts, and Biology teachers, it shows an average score of 98.5% which is seen from the feasibility of content, language, didactics, and graphics. Based on these results it can be concluded that the problem-based learning-based E-Module produced is very valid and suitable for use as teaching material.

Abstract

Practical work guide of Animal Structure using modified free inquiry is designed so that the practitioner is actively able to solve problems through observation, exploration, and practical work procedures. This research uses the Four-D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate) developed by Thiagarajan, Semmel, and Semmel (1974). In this research, the validity of the practical work guide has been carried out, and then development tests are carried out by looking at student activities in practical work activities using the practical work guide of Animal Structure using modified free inquiry, observed by observers using observation sheets of attitude and skill. The data was processed using the percentage formula proposed and obtained the value of student attitudinal activity 81.65 (very effective) and student skill activity 80.81 (very effective). Thus, it can be concluded that the practical work guide of Animal Structure using modified free inquiry is very effective to bring up scientific attitude activities and student work skills in practical work activities.

Abstract

Based on learning activities observation in human anatomy and fisiology major is low, like pay attention to the lecture, questioning, most of students talking each other, when they did the task the students more choose made in group. Activities learning of student is low because the students didn’t have motivation in learning process, although the lecture has discution metode in learning process. The purpose of this research are to improve activities and student result of the learning. This research had used cooperative learning model with the type is STAD trough mind map in human anatomy and fisiology major.  This research have been done to the students in STKIP. This research are action research that did in two phase. The phase are: Planning, doing, observation, and reflection. The data obtained through observation sheet documentation and test. Data that analysis from activities students and learning result of the students. The result of this research showed the improved of activities and learning result of the students. based on activities learning of student that get from cycluse 1 to the cycluse 2, showed that the increase of activities of the students like pre test( 98%) and post test (100%) with very good category in cycluse 1. In cycluse 2 become 5 activities like pre test (98%), looking to the lecture (93%), active to followed the discution (88%), making mind map (90%), followed post test (100%) with very good category. Result of learning in cycluse 1 just 52%, in cycluse 2 increased and become 83%. Based on the result that been concluded using cooperative learning model type of STAD through mind map in  human anatomy and fisiology major can increase activities and result learning of the students.Kata kunci: Kooperatif STAD, Mind Map, Aktivitas, Hasil Belajar, Siklus

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to figure out the effect of cooperative strategy type STAD with LDS on the students’ cognitive domain learning outcomes in Biology class, at the eighth grade of SMPN 3 Batang Anai. The research was an experimental research with Randomised Control Group Postest Only Design. The research instrument was a multiple choice test consisting of 55 test items. The cognitive test result of the experimental group was 70.46, whereas that of the control group was 60.07. T test result shows tcount (3.34) > ttable (1.68). Thus the hypothesis was accepted. It is concluded that the cooperative learning Type STAD with LDS gives an effect on the students’ cognitive domain learning outcomes of Biology subject taught to the eighth grads students of SMPN 3 Batang Anai Padang Pariaman regency.

Abstract

The learning process carried out by teachers does not actively involve students, this is because the learning models and media applied by teachers have not been implemented optimally. Based on these problems, the right solution is needed by applying a learning model that can activate students. One of them is by applying the Group Investigation learning model assisted by Digital Mind Map (GI-DMM). The aim of the research was to find out the effect the Group Investigation model learning assisted by Digital Mind Map (GI-DMM) to the learning outcomes of students' affective domains. This research method is a true experiment with a Randomized Control Group Posttest Only Design research design. The population in this study were all of class X IPA. Sampling was carried out by purposive sampling technique by means of a lot system, experimental class and control class. The research instrument for the affective domain was in the form of observation sheets for students' attitudes during the learning process. Data analysis techniques used hypothesis testing (t-test). The results of the study in the affective domain of the experimental class obtained an average value of 93.00 and that of the control class was 88.53. Thus it can be concluded that through the application of the Digital Mind Map-assisted Group Investigation Model (GI-DMM) it can improve learning outcomes in the affective domain of students.

Abstract

The progress of a nation depends on the quality of education, One way to improve the quality of education is to carry out an effective learning process so as to improve student learning outcomes. learning process the teacher uses a scientific approach, but in learning the scientific approach is implemented not optimally so learning does not involve students actively and learning outcomes are low. Teachers are required to design an innovative learning model that leads to an increase in learning outcomes achieved by students. This research aims to determine the effect of the Group Investigation learning model assisted by Digital Mind Map (GI-DMM) on student learning outcomes in the cognitive domain. This type of research is an experiment with this research design, namely in the experimental class using the application of the Group Investigation learning model assisted by the Digital Mind Map while in the control class it is carried out using a scientific approach, then a final test is carried out on both sample classes.  The determination of the sample was carried out using the Total Sampling technique. The cognitive domain instrument is a test sheet in the form of multiple choice of 39 questions. Data analysis techniques using t-test. The results of this research are based on the t test, the average value of the experimental class is greater than the control class. Thus it can be concluded that through the application of the Group Investigation model it influences learning outcomes in the cognitive domain.
