Abstract

Indonesia is recorded as the third largest coffee producing country in the world. Robusta coffee is widely cultivated in Jambuwer Village Malang Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine: Robusta coffee marketing channels in Malang Regency. Calculating the amount of marketing margin, margin distribution and share of robusta coffee in Malang Regency. The results of this study indicate that there are four patterns of robusta coffee marketing channels, namely, marketing channel I: Farmers - Wholesalers - Retailers - Consumers. Marketing channel II: Farmers - Middlemen - Resellers - Consumers. Marketing channel III: Farmers - Middlemen - Consumers and marketing channels IV: Farmers - Middlemen - Companies. Meanwhile, the marketing margin for channel I is Rp. 4,000, marketing margin for channel II is Rp. 95,000,  channel marketing margin  is Rp. 95,000 and  channel marketing margin is Rp. 2,000. The farmer's share value in marketing channel I was 84%, marketing channel II was 24%, marketing channel III was 24% and marketing channel IV was 91.7%. The result of the most efficient marketing channel for farmers is the marketing channel  IV because it has a low marketing margin and a high farmer share value.

Abstract

Indonesia memiliki keanekaragaman buah – buahan yang tumbuh dan berkembang dengan baik diwilayahnya. Umumnya ciri khas produk pertanian yaitu mudah rusak, sehingga perlu dilakukan pengolahan untuk memperpanjang daya simpan. Adapun strategi yang dapat dilakukan oleh para pelaku usaha adalah dengan melakukan pegolahan pasca panen atau agroindustri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis besarnya keuntungan dan nilai tambah Usaha Kecil dan Menengah (UKM) minuman sari buah stroberi Desa Pandanrejo. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah desain deskriptif metode kuantitatif. Lokasi penelitian ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling atau secara sengaja yaitu di Desa Pandanrejo, Kecamatan Bumiaji, Kota Batu. Jenis data pada penelitian ini yaitu data primer dan data sekunder dengan teknik observasi, wawancara dan pencatatan. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah metode analisis usaha untuk mengetahui besarnya keuntungan dan nilai tambah. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah besarnya keuntungan yang diperoleh UKM Sahabat Tani Kota Batu, KWT Jasmine, UKM Sumber Barokah dan UKM Mira berturut – turut adalah sebesar Rp 453.273, Rp 229,679, Rp 440.353 dan Rp 269.885. Besarmya nilai tambah yang diperoleh UKM Sahabat Tani Kota Batu KWT Jasmine, UKM Sumber Barokah dan UKM Mira berturut – turut adalah sebesar Rp 96.546/kg, Rp 67.420/kg, Rp 99.159/kg dan Rp 79.971/kg.Kata Kunci : stroberi, sari buah stroberi, keuntungan, nilai tambah.

Abstract

Soybean is one of the main food commodities after rice and corn. Indonesian people indicate that soy consumption will continue to increase yearly along with population, per capita income, and public awareness of food nutrition. Increased demand for soybeans can be linked to an increase in public consumption. The objectives of this study were 1) to analyze the development of soybean consumption in Indonesia and 2) to analyze the factors that influence soybean consumption in Indonesia. This type of research is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The type of data used is secondary data (time series). The analysis method used in this research is Trend Analysis with Moving Average and Multiple Linear Regression Analysis. The variables used are soybean price (X1), substitution price (peanuts) (X2), income per capita (X3), and soybean consumption (Y). The study's results using the trend test showed that the value forecast of soybean consumption for the next or future period was 0.29, where the MAD value was 0.01, the MSE value was 0, and the MAPE value was 0.04. The multiple linear regression test showed that the price of soybeans and income per capita had a significant effect on soybean consumption. In contrast, the substitution price had no significant effect on soybean consumption.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of LOB fertilizer and analyze the proper marketing strategy in PT. Inbio Tani Nusantara to be able to increase sales of LOB fertilizer. This study uses the nonprobability sampling method that is Accidental Sampling for external respondents or LOB consumers with consideration if the researcher needs to know the number of the existing population. Purposive sampling method for internal respondents of the company. The method of collecting data in this study with observation methods, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The data types used in this study are primary data from swot analysis, IFAS analysis, and EFAS analysis. In this study there are variables of Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threat. Marketing of LOB liquid biological organic fertilizers has opportunities and strengths that can be used to deal with weaknesses and threats to take decisions that are marketing strategies for LOB liquid biological organic fertilizers. The results showed that the LOB fertilizer marketing strategy is in quadrant I which means that the company has strengths and opportunities and the strategy that must be taken in this condition is an aggressive marketing policy.

Abstract

Strawberry is one of the subtropical fruit products that has great potential to be developed in Indonesia. The problem in this business is that there is no institution that accommodates and markets strawberries so that the marketing network is still between cities and a small part is sent to the city of Surabaya. The objectives of this study are: to analyze the marketing problems of strawberries and the marketing mix of strawberries in the Strawberry Barn, Pandanrejo Village, Bumiaji District, Batu City, in April-May 2022 with the consideration that the location is a center for strawberry cultivation and the majority of the people are strawberry farmers. Marketing problems and marketing mix were analyzed by qualitative descriptive method. The method of determining respondents in this study used purposive sampling. The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. The results showed that the problem of marketing strawberries is that there is no institution that accommodates and markets strawberries so that the marketing network in the granary is still between cities and a small portion is sent to the city of Surabaya. The weakness of strawberry fruit products is also not durable, spoils quickly, the fruit is soft so special handling is needed by speeding up the shipping process. Abstract

Bioactivators or biological fertilizers are materials containing microorganisms used by rice farmers with the aim of increasing rice production so as to create increased food security. This study aims to analyze the production, income of rice farming and the effect of bioactivators and other production inputs on rice farming production. The research was conducted at the Margo Santoso Farmer's Group, Ngajum Village, Malang Regency. Simple random sampling was used as a determinant of sampling. The population of farmers is known to be 102 people and a sample of 50 respondents was taken using the Slovin formula calculation. Data analysis using Cobb Douglass production function. The results showed that the average rice production and income of rice farming using bioactivators was 9.385 kg/ha with an income of Rp. 30.886.260 /Ha while those who do not use bioactivator 7.817 kg/Ha with an income of Rp. 23.329.566 /Ha. The results showed that simultaneously the variables of seed, fertilizer, pesticide, labor, and bioactivator had an effect on the rice production variable, while partially the pesticide, labor, and bioactivator variables had a significant effect on rice production, but the seed and fertilizer variables had no significant effect on the rice production. rice production. Strategies that can be used to increase rice farming production by adding a bioactivator by 1% will increase rice production by 19,9%, adding a workforce of 1% will increase production by 17,7% and adding pesticides by 1% will increase production 8,7%. However, adding 1% of seeds can only increase production by 5% and adding 1% fertilizer only increases production by 8,4%.

Abstract

Global population growth and climate change have sparked interest in efficient and sustainable agricultural innovations. This research proposes a financial feasibility analysis for implementing hydroponic vegetable farming using the floating raft method at Oxigen Farm, Singosari, Malang. Leveraging modern technology, this study aims to evaluate the economic sustainability and contribution to the growth of the agricultural sector amid the pressing limitations of arable land. The floating raft method was chosen to enhance land use efficiency and control the environmental conditions for plant growth. The financial analysis covers investment costs, income projections, and profits over a specified period. The analysis of investment costs and income projections reveals promising profit potential, indicating that the investment has good financial feasibility. Meeting investment criteria, including a positive Net Present Value (NPV) of Rp. 43.04, a Gross Benefit/Cost (BC) ratio of 1.16, a Net B/C ratio of 2.18, and an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) exceeding the utilized interest rate at 54,59%, supports the conclusion that the business is viable. The findings support the view that implementing the floating raft method in hydroponic farming in Singosari, Malang, could provide a sustainable solution to the critical challenge of agricultural land conversion. Implications include the potential development of efficient and sustainable modern farming models, contributing positively to the local economy and food resilience.

Abstract

This research is used to compare the rubber export performance between Indonesia and Thailand to the United States market. The performance’s aspects will be compared with the volume and export value in the period of 2012-2022, the strict competitiveness of the United States market, and the factors that impact the volume and export value of rubber in the United States market. Secondary data from 2013-2022 was collected from any sources. This method of analysis used descriptive quantitative, Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA), and multiple linear regression. The result shows that the export performance in Indonesia suffered a drop in volume aspects; however, the export volume from Thailand to the United States experienced an increase. The RCA rubber in Indonesia has an average value of 77.75 (strong competitiveness to the United States market), while the rubber quality in Thailand is about 19.28. The factors of world prices and productivity influence the export value of rubber from Indonesia to the United States; however, inflation, the rate of exchange of the dollar, and the income per capita of the United States do not influence the export value of rubber from Indonesia. The world price factor, the rate of exchange of the United States dollar against the Thai Baht, and the income per capita of Thailand have a positive effect on rubber exports from Thailand to the United States. The policy implication is Indonesian government should pay attention to maintain rubber production sustainability to defense the competitiveness of the export.

Abstract

AbstrakKelurahan Mojolangu terdiri dari 19 RW Rukun Warga) dan 115 RT (Rukun Tetangga), yang merupakan kelurahan terluas di wilayah kecamatan Lowokwaru. Umumnya masyarakat di wilayah tersebut tidak memiliki lahan pekarangan yang cukup luas, sehingga pemanfaatan dan pengelolaan lingkungan dapat dioptimalkan dengan penanaman tanaman organik dengan media hidroponik. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah memperkenalkan dan mempraktekkan penanaman sayur-sayuran dengan sistem hidroponik untuk para ibu rumah tangga. Metode yang digunakan adalah transfer ilmu, yaitu menularkan ilmu sekaligus memberikan pelatihan mengenai cara budidaya tanaman organik dengan penerapan hidroponik dan cara menganalisis usahatani bagi para ibu rumah tangga sebagai media pembelajaran yang efektif. Kemudian adalah metode diskusi atau interaksi antara dua pihak. Terakhir yaitu demontrasi, teknik pelatihan dengan langsung memberikan percontohan untuk masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian ini mendapat hasil bahwa ibu rumah tangga dapat mempraktekkan budidaya sayuran secara hidroponik di pekarangan rumah masing-masing atau fasilitas umum yang tersedia serta penghijauan yang berkelanjutan tercapai.Kata kunci: Hidroponik, Sayuran, Pemberdayaan MasyarakatAbstractMojolangu is the largest village in Lowokwaru District of Malang City which consists of 19 RW and 115 RT. Commonly, the people of this village do not have sufficient land, thus they prefer to optimize environment utilization and management by planting organic plants through hydroponic media. The purpose of this study is to introduce and practice hydroponic planting method to the housewives. This study applies knowledge transfer method which means sharing and giving practical training about organic planting cultivation through hydroponic media; and farming analysis as an effective learning media for the housewives. Then, discussion and interaction between the researcher and participants are included. Last, the researcher demonstrates the techniques to the housewives as participants. The results of this study showed that the participants are able to practice hydroponic method by planting organic vegetables in their own yard or public green area to sustain eco-green environment.Keywords: Hydroponics, Vegetables, Community Empowerment

Abstract

Chicken meat is one of the most commonly consumed sources of animal protein by the Indonesian people because it has good nutrition and is more affordable than other animal protein sources. Sales simulation in business activities is very important for companies to ensure adequate stock availability so that the company will not experience excess or shortage of stock and can maintain price stability. One of the methods that is often used is the Exponential Smoothing method. This study aims to analyze the difference from actual sales with the results of using the Exponential Smoothing method using alpha 0.1, 0.5, and 0.9, and to analyze the accuracy level of the use of the Exponential Smoothing method based on the MAPE method. This study uses a quantitative method. In this study, there is only 1 variable used, namely historical data on chicken sales at PT Ciomas Adisatwa Pemalang. The sample extraction technique used is the Purposiv sampling method. The conclusion of this study is that using a value of α= 0.5 is better than using other alpha values because the amount of difference between the simulation results and the actual sales data for November 2024 is only 26,242 KG, and for the accuracy of the Exponential Smoothing method using MAPE it is able to produce a value of only 15.683%, with this value the results of this forecasting simulation can be said to be good.
