Abstract

The number of bystander CPR as the first helper of out ofhospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) is stilllow in various countries. The effort that can be done is by providing CPR training in thecommunity. This study aims to analyze the influence of learning media with fabel animation video(VAF) to knowledge about CPR. This true experimental study with randomized subject, pretestposttest control group design have been done on 120 respondents divided into 2 groups that isVAF and module with three times measurement in SDN Kampungdalem 3 and 4 Kota Kediri. Theresult of this study indicate that in both groups has a significant influence on knowledge (p =0,000). Significant differences between VAF and module are on after and one week after CPRtraining. This suggest that CPR training using VAF provides more effective than module on CPRknowledge in children.

Abstract

Introduction: The incidence of heart failure continues to rise with advancing age, unabated by advancements in healthcare technology. Patients with heart failure are required to manage their care independently at home for the remainder of their lives. This study aimed to delve into the experiences of heart failure patients regarding self-care management at home. Methods: Nineteen patients with heart failure were chosen through purposive sampling and thorough interviews were conducted to collect their self-care treatment experiences. Content analysis was carried out to scrutinize the acquired data. Results: The analysis revealed four themes: patients' perception of heart failure diagnosis, efforts in self-care, readiness for self-care, and adoption of new healthy behaviors in heart failure. Eight categories were formulated within these themes, including "transitioning into a heart failure patient;” "recognizing the need for self-care;” "seeking information and heart failure therapy;” "facilitators and barriers in seeking information regarding self-care;” "social support and belief in engaging in self-care at home;” "self-confidence in engaging in self-care at home;” "efforts to develop self-care strategies;” and "engaging in new healthy behaviors as heart failure patients independently.” Conclusions: Patients become aware of the necessity for self-care upon experiencing discomfort due to symptoms resulting from their heart failure. Family support and the patient's belief system play pivotal roles in initiating self-care practices at home. Nurses should provide support to patients in fostering self-care practices within their homes.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Henti jantung dapat terjadi di berbagai lokasi, baik yang tidak dapat diantisipasi (diluar rumah sakit) hingga yang dapat diantisipasi (misalkan; ruang perawatan intensif). Ketika terdapat korban henti jantung, orang yang berada di dekat korban tersebut memiliki peran yang sangat besar dalam melakukan RJP secara cepat. Proses resusitasi yang dilakukan pada korban henti jantung saat masih ini belum maksimal. Penyebabnya antara lain; kompresi dada yang kurang tepat, durasi yang masih kurang, dan rendahnya kesediaan untuk memberikan pertolongan. Kondisi ini menjadi isyarat bahwa perlunya edukasi yang tepat. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk menambah retensi pemahaman masyarakat ketika belajar RJP, diperlukan alat peraga yang mudah dijangkau dan ekonomis serta metode yang tepat. Tujuan: Untuk mengidentifikasi perbedaan peningkatan pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan Resusitasi Jantung Paru (RJP) antara Simulasi dan Self Directed Video menggunakan I-CARRER Cardiac Resuscitation Menekin pada siswa SMA anggota Palang Merah Remaja (PMR). Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasi eksperimanetal dengan pendekatan pre-post test with control group. Pada kelompok perlakuan diberikan intervensi Self-Directed Video pembelajaran RJP dan pada kelompok kontrol diberikan Intervensi Simulasi RJP. Penelitian ini akan dilakukan di Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) 1, 3, 5 dan 8 Negeri Malang. Jumlah sampel yang terlibat adalah 104 siswa SMA anggota PMR. Analisa data menggunakan uji Mann Whitney. Hasil: Hasil uji Mann Whitney antara skor posttest pengetahuan (kelompok simulasi) dan posttest pengetahuan (kelompok self-directed video) memiliki nilai signifikansi (p value) = 0,468 (p>0,05), skor posttest sikap (kelompok simulasi) dan posttest sikap (kelompok self-directed video) memiliki nilai signifikansi (p value) = 0,739 (p>0,05), dan skor posttest keterampilan (kelompok simulasi) dan posttest keterampilan (kelompok self-directed video) memiliki nilai signifikansi (p value) = 0.089 (p>0,05). Kesimpulan: Tidak terdapat perbedaan peningkatan pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan Resusitasi Jantung Paru (RJP) antara Simulasi dan Self Directed Video menggunakan I-CARRER Cardiac Resuscitation Menekin pada siswa SMA anggota Palang Merah Remaja (PMR) Kata Kunci: Pengetahuan, Sikap, Keterampilan, Resusitasi Jantung Paru (RJP), Simulasi, Self Directed Video
