Abstract

Kata kunci: Storytelling Digital; UMKM; Homestay; Desa Wisata, Pengabdian Masyarakat ABSTRACTThis community service program was implemented in Kebangsaan Tourism Village, Situbondo, East Java, aiming to enhance the capacity of local MSME actors, homestay managers, and the community in utilizing digital storytelling as a tourism promotion strategy. The main problems identified include conventional promotional practices, limited digital skills, and a lack of understanding of narrative-based marketing. The program employed a comprehensive method consisting of outreach, training, workshops, mentoring, field practice, and evaluation through pre-test and post-test. The results indicate a significant improvement in participants’ understanding of storytelling concepts (from ±20% to ±90%), visual content production skills (±25% to ±90%), and digital publication ability (±30% to ±85%). Participants successfully produced photos and videos that integrated local narratives into social media content, thereby strengthening the branding of Kebangsaan Tourism Village. Despite challenges such as limited technological devices, difficulties in composing promotional captions, and unstable internet connectivity, adaptive solutions including the provision of simple devices, caption templates, and scheduled publishing strategies were effective. This program demonstrates that a storynomics-based edu-tourism homestay approach is effective in fostering creative, inclusive, and sustainable community-based tourism development. Keywords: Digital Storytelling; Msmes; Homestay; Tourism Village; Community Service

This study aims to assess the diversity of food in the Tapanuli orangutan at the Tapanuli Research Station Plan, Batu Satail, Sipirok District. Research was carried out in November 2021 by conducting a vegetation analysis on 3 predetermined paths. The results showed that in this area, there were 91 plant species from 42 families, of which 29 species (31.87%) were orangutan food. However, the highest plant importance index value is dominated by nonfood plants.

Abstract

Paciran has a diversity of potential attractions in terms of tourism, history, and culture that are inherent in each tourist village. However, despite the diversity there are still undeveloped tourist attractions that are less exposed, so there is a need to optimize the potential of these attractions. Like the Tourism and Culture Department of Lamongan District's initiative to support the 2021-2026 RPJMD in developing integrated tourism potential. The aim of this research is to map the potential of tourist attractiveness and to compile the innovation of tourism village development in Paciran Emergency through the elaboration of integrated tour packages. This study employs a descriptive-qualitative approach. In this study, primary data sources are obtained from informants, as well as secondary data resources from supporting documents. This study uses Miles and Huberman's analysis techniques for data analysis, which includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawings. The results of the research showed that the concept of developing tourist villages through the innovation of package preparation for tourism in an integrated way between tourism villages in Paciran district was an attempt to create interesting tourist products by optimizing potential tourist attractiveness. There are three types of potential tourist attractions identified among other attractions of nature, culture, and artificial tourism. Innovation tour packages are structured into three kinds: (1) Enjoy the Goddess of Paciran, (2) Explore the Goddess of Paciran, and (3) Edu Ceria Goddess Paciran, each of which is sold at a price that varies according to the calculation of the cost components contained in it. It is hoped that the latest innovation efforts can be carried out in a sustainable manner, with the aim of providing an update to every tour package product offered to tourists.

Abstract

This article is the result of field research conducted in Tegaren, a tourism village in Trenggalek, East Java, Indonesia. Tegaren has become a tourism village that consistently ranks among the top 500 in the Anugerah Desa Wisata Indonesia in 2022 and 2023. This study examines how tourism growth in Tegaren impacts the quality of life through homestays and small enterprises. As one of the outstanding tourism villages in Trenggalek, Tegaren has interesting tourism developments to study. By using interviews, observation, and literature studies, the authors collected data from several village representatives. The collected data is then interpreted using qualitative analysis methods. The results obtained were then verified using the Tourism Area Life Cycle (TALC) concept and the Better Life Index for measuring quality of life. Authors also use an asset-based community development (ABCD) approach to get qualitative data as accurately as possible. This article also presents the results of research by the authors, revealing that Tegaren people are directly affected by the growing tourism business in the village. These community components include besek farmers and homestay business owners or lodging accommodations in Tegaren. This study demonstrates how local ecotourism can improve the quality of life for residents. However, there is still much that needs to be improved in this study, which is expected to be carried out in further research.
