Business and economic growth in a region is supported by digital transformation. Many people are switching to using digital technology to support their business activities. Thus, the opportunity to create digital-based business ideas or what is known as a startup business was born. The Samarinda City Communication and Informatics Agency held a digital startup competition called Samarinda Hackathon in order to support digitalization for regional growth, especially by supporting the development of the capital city of Indonesia (Ibu Kota Nusantara). In the competition, there were mentoring activities as an effort to assist participants' education and from this activity process, it is hoped that it will have sustainable benefits. Participants not only apply it to this competition but can also build a real business. In addition, this activity is also related to one of the pillars of Indonesia Emas 2045, namely having superior human resources. This activity lasted for 2 days in the city of Samarinda. The mentoring activity was carried out by 12 mentors affiliated with the Samarinda City Communication and Information Office, the 1000 Digital Startup community, East Kalimantan ICT Volunteers, academics, and several practitioners. The mentoring activity began with a presentation of material by digital startup CEOs, a question and answer session, then a participant mentoring session by creating a sprint design, and conducting a consultation session. The results or achievements of the mentoring activities carried out can be seen in the participants who can create sprint designs that are more focused and conceptual as startup business designs and the enthusiasm of the participants which can be seen after receiving motivation and various suggestions from the mentors.

Abstract

Traditional market traders in developing economies often face significant financial challenges, including limited access to formal credit and dependency on high-interest informal loans. This study evaluates the Kredit Kukar Idaman (KKI) program in Kutai Kartanegara, Indonesia, an initiative providing interest-free loans to empower micro and small enterprises (MSEs). Employing a mixed-methods approach, data were collected through surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions with 81 market traders. Results reveal that KKI substantially enhanced financial stability, with 87% of participants reporting increased working capital and 62% expanding their business operations. However, barriers such as limited awareness, administrative complexities, and inadequate digital skills hinder program accessibility and efficiency. Comparisons with global best practices highlight the need for integrated capacity-building measures, including financial literacy training and digital adoption initiatives. The study concludes that while KKI demonstrates the potential to foster economic resilience and market competitiveness, addressing implementation challenges is critical for its long-term sustainability. This research contributes to the discourse on inclusive credit policies and provides actionable insights for policymakers aiming to optimize similar programs.

Abstract

The transformation of digital learning in vocational education requires media innovations that adapt to the characteristics of digital-native students. This research aims to develop and evaluate GlideApps-based Islamic Religious Education learning media as an effective, adaptive, and accessible no-code solution. Using the ADDIE model, this research involves the stages of needs analysis, multimodal content design, application development, implementation on a limited and broad scale, and usability evaluation. Data was obtained through observations, interviews, and questionnaires from a total of 96 students. The study's results show that students need flexible, visual, and interactive media to better understand Islamic Education materials. The design process yielded an app with intuitive navigation, structured modules, interactive quizzes, and multimedia support. Expert validation shows a very high level of feasibility in both the material (89%) and media design (87%) aspects. User implementation shows that the app is easy to use and supports both self-paced and structured learning. The usability evaluation recorded an average score of 4.41 (88.13%), indicating excellent effectiveness, efficiency, and user satisfaction. The indicators of ease of understanding the material and ease of use obtained the highest score (4.53). These results confirm that GlideApps meets the principles of multimodal learning and technology acceptance theory. This study concludes that GlideApps media is efficacious in improving accessibility, engagement, and student learning experience, while offering a no-code media development model that can be replicated in the context of religious and humanities learning in vocational education environments.
