Abstract

Education is an effort to prepare students through learning activities designed to help them actively develop their potential, abilities, and talents. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the STEAM-based learning method in improving the skills of MI/SD students in the 21st-century era. The research method used is the library study method. Sources of information can be books, journals, ebooks, or other scientific articles. The results of this study are that along with the rapid development of technology due to the industrial revolution, the current industrial revolution 4.0 has brought changes to the joints of human life, including in the world of education. Students must be equipped with various 21st-century skills and be able to find various challenges of progress, science, and technology. So one of the emerging developmental movements is STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) learning. The STEAM learning model is a learning innovation that can be applied at all levels of education. It is designed to equip students with various skills to face various changes in the world, including the challenges of scientific and technological advances in education.

Abstract

This research aimed to identify and analyze 1) The Influence of motivation on Islamic Primary School (MI) Teacher’s Commitment; 2) The effect of religiosity on Islamic Primary School (MI) Teacher’s Commitment 3) The Influence of motivation and religiosity on Islamic Primary School (MI) Teacher’s Commitment. The method used for this research was descriptive method with quantitative approach. The populations were all Islamic Primary School teachers in Pamulang, South Tangerang. The data were collected by using questioners of motivation, religiosity and teacher’s commitment. Those were analyzed by descripting and inferential whereas the hypothesis test used multiple linear regressions. Result: 1) There was influence between motivation on teacher’s commitment with the coefficient correlation 0,606, it was indicated that motivation gave the impact on teacher’s commitment 60,6 % in the strong category. 2) There was influence between religiosity on teacher’s commitment with the coefficient correlation 0,565, it was indicated that religiosity gave the impact on teacher’s commitment 56,5 % in the medium category. 3) There was simultaneously influence between motivation and religiosity on teacher’s commitment with the coefficient correlation 0,669.

Abstract

Arabic is a subject that has its difficulties for students of Islamic Primary Schools. The majority of students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah struggle with reading, writing, and understanding mufradat (vocabularies) in Arabic classes. Among the attempts undertaken to overcome these obstacles is the application of the peer tutoring method combined with short card media in Arabic language learning. This study aimed to determine and analyze the implementation of the peer tutor method integrated with short card media in learning Arabic at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. The subjects in this study were teachers and students in learning Arabic at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. The method used qualitative-descriptive. The results showed that the peer tutoring method integrated with short card media was carried out through the following stages: 1) explanation of the objectives and classical learning activities by the teacher, 2) grouping students into teams where some of the students functioned as tutors for the others, 3) learning with the peer tutor method integrated with short cards media that have been provided, 4) observing learning activities, and 5) evaluating learning activities with teachers and students. When employing peer tutoring integrated with short card media, the findings indicate that students showed a higher level of enthusiasm for their participation in the learning process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan mengidentifikasikan perencanaan dan pelaksanaan program Gerakan Literasi Sekolah serta hambatan dan pendukung dalam implementasi program tersebut. Gerakan Literasi Sekolah merupakan sebuah upaya yang dilakukan secara menyeluruh dan berkelanjutan untuk menjadikan sekolah sebagai organisasi pembelajaran yang warganya literat sepanjang hayat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Lokasi penelitian ini adalah SD Negeri Salakbrojo dengan subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah dan guru kelas. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara kepada kepala sekolah dan guru kelas. Dalam pengimplementasian Gerakan Literasi Sekolah kepala sekolah memiliki andil yang sangat besar mengingat kebijakan pemerintah memperbolehkan setiap lembaga sekolah mengembangkan program-program yang telah disepakati oleh pemerintah. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa implementasi program gerakan literasi di SD Negeri Salakbrojo dapat meningkatkan minat baca siswa. Produk program Gerakan Literasi di SD Negeri Salakbrojo adalah kegiatan membaca buku 15 menit, membaca 3 surah dalam juz 30 selama 15 menit setiap pagi, dan kunjungan perpustakaan setiap jam istirahat.

Abstract

The curriculum in the world of education continues to develop. At the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level, curriculum development is carried out by holding a tahfidz program. MI Salafiyah Syafi'iyah (MISS) Proto 01 has a special method for implementing the tahfizh juz 30 program called the FALTORCAMA method. This study aims to explain the planning, implementation, and methods, as well as the inhibiting and supporting factors in the implementation of the tahfidz Juz 30 program through the FALTORCAMA method at MISS Proto 01 Kedungwuni Pekalongan. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, in seeking information about this research, the authors use interviews, observation, and documentation. The result of this research is that the planning of this program is based on efforts to increase students' abilities according to the conditions and potentials in their environment and as a form of the school's contribution to the surrounding community, namely realizing Proto Village as "Kampung Tarbiyatul Qur'an". The implementation and the method used is FALTORCAMA which is memorized, deposited, and read together. The inhibiting factors in this program are the abilities of each child and the limited implementation time. Meanwhile, the supporting factor for this tahfidz program is the good support from all parties and the enthusiasm and high students in memorizing the Qur'an. The tahfidz Juz 30 program can be said to be appropriate to be implemented at MISS Proto 01 Kedungwuni Pekalongan.

Abstract

Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) as an educational institution has an important and strategic role in implementing environmental education for its students so that it can improve students' environmental ethics as a form of support for the SDGs 2030. The purpose of this research is to describe the concept and implementation of environmental education in MI and its support for SDGs 2030. This study is qualitative, with field research being conducted in two MI, namely MI NU Rowolaku and MIN Pekalongan. Data obtained by using the methods of observation, interviews, and documentation The data obtained was then analyzed using Miles and Huberman's qualitative analysis method, which included data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and verification or drawing conclusions. The results showed that MI NU Rowolaku, which has not yet received the status of an adiwiyata school, already has a simple concept of environmental education, but its implementation is good enough so that its carrying capacity for sustainable development goals is classified as moderate. Meanwhile, MIN Pekalongan, which already holds the title of Adiwiyata school, has a clear and measurable concept of environmental education and excellent implementation, so that it has the carrying capacity for sustainable development goals in the high category.

Abstract

Seseorang yang dipercaya menjadi kepada sekolah harus memenuhi kriteria-kriteria yang disyaratkan. Standar Kepala Sekolah/Madrasah yaitu kompetensi kepala sekolah meliputi kompetensi kepribadian, manajerial, kewirausahaan, supervisi dan sosial. Salah satu kepala sekolah yang memiliki kebijakan inovatif adalah Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 1 Yogyakarta. Kebijakan inovatif kepala MIN 1 Yogyakarta terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan mutu SDM di sekolah tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kebijakan inovatif kepala MIN 1 Yogyakarta dalam meningkatkan mutu SDM. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian lapangan (field research) dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan kepala sekolah MIN 1 Yogyakarta sangat gesit dan disiplin untuk memajukan sekolah agar lebih unggul dan lebih banyak siswa yang berprestasi, mencari sedetail mungkin masalah-masalah yang sekiranya mengganjal dan teliti aggar hal yang buruk tidak menganggu jalannya kemajuan sekolah tersebut.

Abstract

Sekolah yang berkualitas tentunya juga mempunyai mutu pendidikan yang baik. Dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan, Kedungwuni membuat program Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas penerapan ekstrakurikuler MTQ dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di MISS Proto 01 Kedungwuni. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa sekolah Kedungwuni merupakan sekolah yang meningkatkan mutu pendidikan melalui program ekstrakurikuler Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an. Pelaksanaan ekstrakurikuler MTQ meliputi metode pembelajaran, tata cara dan juga pemilihan irama. Dipilihnya ekstarkurikuler Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an karena Kedungwuni lebih memfokuskan nilai-nilai spiritualitas dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikannya. Pada penerapan ekstrakurikuler MTQ di MISS Proto 01 Kedungwuni memilih pembina khusus yang dapat membuat siswa lebih mudah dalam mempelajari MTQ. Hambatan-hambatan yang ada pada program esktrakurikuler MTQ adalah adanya perbedaan daya tangkap setiap siswa. Dalam mengatasi hambatan tersebut dilakukan upaya dengan memilih metode membaca tiga kali lalu menirukan guru, sehingga menjadikan semua siswa dapat menangkap apa yang diajarkan oleh guru. Ekstrakurikuler Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an memberikan dampak positif terhadap siswa dan juga mutu pendidikan sekolah. Dampak positifnya adalah siswa bisa menyalurkan dan mengembangkan bakatnya sehingga bisa meraih prestasi dan menaikan mutu pendidikan. Dengan demikian adanya prestasi dapat meningkatkan mutu pendidikan MISS Proto 01 Kedungwuni.

Abstract

A student's success in studying mathematics is marked by achievement. In composition, drawing conclusions is an important part of planning activities. This research aims to explain and test in detail the principal's leadership in drawing conclusions made by the principal of MIN 1 Yogyakarta in developing the quality of human resources and explaining the implementation of initiatives. This research is a qualitative descriptive research with a background in MIN 1 Yogyakarta. Data collection methods use observation, interviews and data collection. The results of this research show that the principal of MIN 1 Yogyakarta is very agile and disciplined in advancing the school so that it is superior and more students achieve, looking in as much detail as possible for problems that may be obstructing them and being thorough so that bad things do not interfere with the progress of the school, encouraging the teachers must be diligent and disciplined with their time so that they can be invited to progress.
