Abstract

This study entitled "The Effect of Cattle Biourine on Growth and Yield of Green Spinach (Amaranthus spp) in Hydroponic Systems. The hydroponic method used in this research is the wick system. The research implementation stage was using a randomized block design (RBD) of 6 treatments and 4 replications of biourinesapi, consisting of 6 treatments and 4 replications in order to obtain 24 treatments. The results of this study indicate that the provision of biourine 300 ml / liter of water is sufficient to provide good growth and yield of spinach, although with the increase in the growth of bovine biourine to 600 ml / 1 liter of water, there is no significant increase in growth and yield. The difference in biourin administration is giving 100 ml / 1 liter of water; giving 200 ml / 1 liter of water; giving 300 ml / 1 liter of water; giving 400 ml / 1 liter of water; giving 500 ml / 1 liter of water and giving 600 ml / 1 liter of water to spinach plants with a hydroponic system had a significant effect on the growth and yield of spinach plants, the highest growth and yield of spinach in the hydroponic system was obtained by administering biourin by administering cow biourine. 600 ml / 1 liter of water but not significantly higher than the growth and yield of spinach in the administration of 300 ml / 1 liter of water, 400 ml / 1 liter of water; 500 ml / 1 liter of water, giving 300 ml / 1 liter of bovine biourine is the right provision to provide the best growth and yield of spinach on hydroponic systems compared to higher and lower yields

Abstract

This research is entitled Testing the Effectiveness of Catching Types of Trap Walang Sangit (Leptocorisa oratorius) in Rice Fields. Walang sangit (Leptocorisa oratorius) is an important pest that attacks rice commodities. Walang sangit attacks when the rice enters the generative phase (ripe milk) by sucking the liquid on the rice grains, causing the rice grains to become empty. Environmentally friendly control that can be used is to use traps. This study aims to determine the trapping capacity of this type of trap against the pest in rice plants. The study was conducted using a Two-Treatment Paired Experimental Design. The study consisted of two treatments, namely the lamp trap (LT) and the carcass trap (CT). Observations were made eighteen (18) times as a replication. Lamp traps and crab carcass traps provide different catching power on the number of insect pests of walang sangit in rice plants. Crab carcass traps during the study showed that the catch power of carrion bugs was 127.85% higher than that of light traps. Insect pests found in the research rice fields were legged ladybug (Anasa tristis), green ladybug (Nezara viridula), grasshopper (Dissosteira carolina), beetle (Oulena melanoplus).

Abstract

Kelompok Tani anggur “Widya Lestari Usada”, di desa Tangguwisia Seririt Singaraja sebagai bagian integral pembangunan pertanian, merupakan salah satu upaya pemberdayaan petani anggur untuk meningkatkan produktivitas, pendapatannya dan kesejahteraannya. Pengalaman menunjukkan, keberadaan Kelompok Tani Anggur telah memberikan sumbangan yang nyata pada berbagai program pembanguan pertanian yang di fasilitasi oleh Penyuluh Pertanian Lapangan. Demi keberlanjutan kinerja Kelompok Tani, kelompok tani secara rutin mendapatkan pembinaan baik menyangkut faktor kelembagaan, administrasi, sumber daya dan teknis pertanian. Kelembagaan Kelompok tani ini telah digunakan sebagai wadah untuk membahas segala masalah yang mereka hadapi, berdiskusi dan mencari solusi yang terbaik. Melalui Program penerapan iptek yang telah dilakukan, Kelompok tani menjadi bangkit dan termotivasi dalam penggunaan beberapa pestisida nabati, memalui pembuatan beberapa pestisida nabati secara sederhana, sehingga pada saatnya dapat dipergunakan langsung oleh petani untuk pengendalian hama-hama penting yang sering menyerang perkebunan anggur. Selanjutnya kelompok tani memperoleh suatu paket teknologi budidaya tanaman anggur yang murah dan mudah diterapkan, untuk memproduksi buah anggur dengan cita rasa lebih manis dan dengan kuantitas produksi yang tinggi. Paket teknologi budidaya tersebut adalah penggunaan pupuk mineral plus dan pengendalian hayati dari hama dan penyakit dengan pemanfatan pestisida nabati. Hal ini lebih lanjut akan memberikan dampak menguntungkan pada perekonomian petani itu sendiri dan pelestarian lingkungan melalui produk buah anggur ramah lingkungan.

Abstract

UD. Surya Palm is about 20 km to the east of Denpasar, namely in Banjar Kertiyasa, Bona Village, Blahbatuh District, Gianyar Regency, Bali. UD. UD. Surya Palm as a program partner SME is a small business engaged in crafting a variety of woven ornaments with the main raw material of mendong rope with woven models produced including lamp ornaments, model ornaments in various forms namely the shape of dogs, giraffes, horses, pigs and elephants. Palm Light is 23 km to the east of Denpasar, namely in the Banjar Pasedana, Bona Village, Blahbatuh District, Gianyar Regency, Bali. UD. Cahaya Palm as a program partner SME is a small business engaged in the craft of various woven bags and wallets with the main raw materials of palm leaves and pandanus. The second product of the UKM has not only been marketed in Bali and Java, but has also become an export commodity to the destination countries, namely the Netherlands, Australia, Britain, Japan and Hawaii.The problems faced in developing handicrafts are very varied starting from human resources and competencies of craftsmen, technology, marketing, capital, including sources of raw materials, "From the results of team observations, it appears that the two SMEs, for the sake of sustainability, are very worthy of coaching and assistance from the government in this case the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education through Higher Education on an ongoing basis so as to increase production capacity and quality The purpose of this program is to be able to assist craftsmen in overcoming obstacles faced in developing their business. which is quite large on the quality of products and work productivity of SMEs and provides immediate benefits, namely the high motivation and enthusiasm of SME managers in advancing businesses so that later they become SMEs capable of producing products nationally and internationally and finally can contribute to increasing production, quality and turnover respectively.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji situasi aset jaringan irigasi, menganalisis kinerja jaringan irigasi, dan untuk merumuskan alternatif kebijakan penanganan kerusakan jaringan yang terjadi di daerah irigasi Padangkeling. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kombinasi kualitatif kuantitatif berbasis Elektronik Pengelolaan Aset dan Kinerja Sistem Irigasi (EPAKSI). Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan survei berbasis EPAKSI sepanjang jaringan irigasi primer sampai sekunder melalui tahap survei PAI dan IKSI. Data PAI menunjukkan situasi jaringan irigasi Padangkeling memiliki aset irigasi sebanyak 39 bangunan irigasi dan 2 ruas saluran primer serta 17 ruas saluran sekunder dengan tipikal yang berbeda di setiap ruas. Sedangkan hasil analisis data IKSI menunjukkan kinerja jaringan irigasi Padangkeling secara kualitatif berada pada kondisi ‘jelek’ dengan tingkat kerusakan ‘rusak berat’, dan secara kuantitatif memiliki indeks kinerja dibawah 40% yaitu sebesar 16,68% terhadap indikator prasarana fisik atau sebesar 37,07% terhadap keseluruhan indikator utama fisik dan non fisik sistem irigasi. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut dirumuskan alternatif kebijakan penanganan kerusakan jaringan irigasi Padangkeling yaitu berupa pemeliharaan berkala yang bersifat perbaikan berat dan penggantian aset. Penanganan kerusakan sistem irigasi merupakan perwujudan dari pembangunan berkelanjutan yaitu untuk mengakhiri kelaparan, mencapai ketahanan pangan dan nutrisi yang lebih baik serta mendukung pertanian berkelanjutan

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas dosis dan usia biakan dari isolat Trichoderma spp. dalam pengendalain penyakit akar gada pada tanaman sawi. RAK Faktorial digunakan pada penelitian dengan 2 faktor dan  3 ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah dosisdari isolat Trichoderma spp. yang terdiri dari 3 level dosis, yaitu 500 ml; 250 ml dan 0 ml. Faktor kedua adalah usia biakan dari isolate Trichoderma spp. yang terdiri dari 3 lever usia biakan isolate Trichoderma spp yaitu usia biakan 1 minggu; usia biakan 2 minggu dan usia biakan 3 minggu. Pada tanaman sawi yang terinfeksi penyakit akar gada, perlakuan beberapa dosis isolat Trichoderma spp. dan perlakuan beberapa usia biakan dari Trichoderma spp. memberikan pengaruh yang berbeda nyata terhadap variabel tinggi tanaman sawi, daun tanaman sawi dan persentase penyakit. Perlakuan dari isolat Trichoderma spp. dosis 500 ml menghasilkan tinggi tanaman 21,68% dan  daun tanaman 26,63 %  lebih tinggi secara nyata dibandingkan  dengan tinggi tanaman dan  daun pada perlakuan  tanpa pemberian isolat Trichoderma spp. Perlakuan  dari isolat Trichoderma spp. dengan usia biakan 2 minggu,  menghasilkan tinggi tanaman 12,80 % dan daun 16,04% nyata lebih tinggi, dibandingkan dengan  tinggi dan daun tanaman pada perlakuan isolat Trichoderma spp. usia biakan 1 minggu . Persentase penyakit akar gada pada tanaman sawi pada perlakuan kombinasai isolat Trichoderma spp. dosis biakan 500 ml dan usia biakan isolat Trichoderma spp 2 minggu,  mencapai 0 %,  yang berarti tanpa adanya serangan penyakit akar gada. DOI: 10.37637/ab.v3i1.422

Abstract

The massive use of inorganic fertilizers without adequate organic fertilizers will cause land and plant productivity to decline. This study aims to obtain a combination of organic and inorganic fertilizers and their effect on rice production. The study used a Randomized Block Design with three replications and four treatments, namely a) full inorganic package (200 urea + 200 kg Phonska), b) organic fertilizer + 75% inorganic fertilizer, c) organic fertilizer + 50% inorganic fertilizer, d) organic + 25% inorganic fertilizers. Organic fertilizers are given as essential fertilizers, while half of the inorganic fertilizers are given when the plants are planted and the rest when the tillers are active. The results showed that: 1) Applying a combination of organic and inorganic fertilizers increased the percentage of productive tillers, weight of 1000 grains and weight of dry grain harvested per hectare. 2) Application of organic fertilizer + 75% NPK can increase grain weight by 4% compared to using only NPK fertilizer. The results of the study recommend that fertilizing rice with a combination of organic fertilizer + 50% NPK needs to be considered for increasing paddy grain production and improving the quality of rice fields.

Abstract

Squash mosaic virus (SqMV) has been reported to infect cucumber plants in Java and cause a decrease in fruit quality and quantity. Until now, there is no information regarding Sqmv infection in Cucurbitaceae in Bali. In a preliminary research conducted during 2020, we found mosaic symptoms in Gianyar, Bali. SqMV was inferred to be the possible cause of the virus-disease-like symptoms. The study aimed to determine the precence of SqMV in Gianyar, Bali and to obtain information related to its molecular character. This research method includes surveys, field observations, virus identification by RT-PCR, and DNA analysis. Severe disease incidence caused by SqMV was observed on cucumber cultivation in Gianyar that was in the range of 5.81–66.87%. PCR using specific primer for coat protein (CP) gene of SqMV was successfully amplified the DNA fragments of ± 582 bp on samples from Payangan, Tegallalang, Ubud, Sukawati, Blahbatuh, and Gianyar districts, except for samples from Tampaksiring. This indicates that the presence of SqMV is widespread in Java and Gianyar.The SqMV isolate from Bali had the highest nucleotide homology at 91.9–93.4% and amino acids 94.0–94.5 and was closely related to the Brazil isolate (KT923125) and had lower isolate homology than other countries (China, Trinidad, Spain, Japan, Arizona, Cekoslowakia, and Australia). It proved that those mosaic symptoms on cucumber is associated with SqMV infection. SqMV is classified as a quarantine organism of category A2, so it is necessary to prevent its spread to other areas.

Abstract

Sweet potato production fluctuates every year, one of the factors causing the decline in production is the presence of pests and diseases. Sweet potato leaf curl virus (SPLCV) has been reported to infect sweet potatoes in Indonesia in 2022. Until now, there is no information regarding the variation in symptoms and severity of SPLCV disease in sweet potatoes. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the variation in symptoms and severity of SPLCV disease in Gianyar, Bali. The research was carried out directly in the field with observational parameters such as symptoms variation, incidence and disease severity. Observations were made every week when the plants were 63 to 91 days after planting (DAP). The results showed that SPLCV causes a variety of symptoms in the form of mild vein clearing, severe vein clearing, upward vein clearing, and downward vein clearing. The incidence and severity of the disease has increased every week. The incidence and severity of the disease were highest when the plants were 91 DAP, namely 73.33% and 40%, respectively. The high incidence and severity of the disease in the field is due to the use of stem cuttings from previous plants which may have been infected with SPLCV and whitefly vectors are always found in the field.

Abstract

Desa Batukaang memiliki beberapa jenis tanaman yang dapat dijadikan pestisida nabati diantaranya bawang merah, sirih, serai, lengkuas, dan sebagainya. Bahan-bahan tersebut dapat dikombinasi dengan biourin menjadi pestisida nabati yang dapat diaplikasikan dalam budidaya jeruk dan kopi yang dimiliki oleh masyarakat Desa Batukaang, maka inilah yang melatari dilaksanakannya pengabdian masyarakat berupa kegiatan pemanfaatan limbah organik dalam pembuatan pupuk organik dan pestisida nabati dalam mendukung pertanian berkelanjutan di Desa Batukaang. Sasaran dalam pengabdian ini adalah perwakilan subak, perwakilan kelian desa, dan perwakilan PKK dengan jumlah total 10 peserta. Dari pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan: 1) Melalui sosialisai yang diberikan, masyarakat mengetahui tentang pertanian ramah lingkungan untuk meningkatkan produksi dan kualitas tanaman jeruk dan kopi melalui pemanfaatan limbah organik dalam pembuatan pupuk organik dan pestisida nabati; 2) Melalui sosialisasi yang diberikan, petani Desa Batukaang mengetahui tentang jenis-jenis tumbuhan yang dapat dijadikan pestisida nabati serta cara pembuatannya; dan 3) Melalui pelatihan yang dilakukan melalui praktek/demonstrasi, masyarakat Desa Batukaang dapat secara aktif melakukan pengolahan limbah ternak menjadi pupuk organik menjadi pupuk organik dan pestisida nabati untuk mendukung kegiatan budidaya tanaman jeruk dan kopi. Diharapkan Program Pengabdian Masyarakat yang telah dilaksanakan memberikan manfaat bagi masyarakat Desa Batukaang dalam pembuatan pupuk organik dan pestisida nabati yang dilatihkan dalam kegiatan ini. Sehingga dapat diaplikasikan di lahan pertanian dengan skala luas
