Abstract

Genetika merupakan salah satu mata kuliah Keilmuan dan Keterampilan (MKK) dalam bidang Biologi yang wajib diikuti oleh setiap mahasiswa pada semester lima di STKIP PGRI Sumbar. Mahasiswa menganggap konsep-konsep genetika sulit dipahami, mahasiswa tidak mampu menyelesaikan soal-soal genetika karena mata kuliah ini lebih banyak membahas soal-soal hitungan layaknya matematika, dan belum tersedianya lembar kerja mahasiswa (LKM). Akibatnya proses belajar tuntas (Mastery learning) tidak terlaksana dan hasil belajar mahasiswa masih rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKM berbasis Mastery learning pada mata kuliah genetika yang valid, praktis, efektif, dan disseminate. LKM berbasis mastery learning pada mata kuliah genetika sebagai salah satu bahan ajar alternatif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar dan untuk mengatasi tidak terlaksananya belajar tuntas. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D models (define, design, develop, dan disseminate). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif yang mendeskripsikan hasil uji validitas, praktikalitas, dan efektivitas dari model LKM berbasis Mastery learning. LKM berbasis Mastery learning yang telah dirancang berisi, identitas mata kuliah, satuan kurikulum, materi, contoh soal, penyelesaian soal yang mudah dipahami serta sistematik, soal formatif dan soal sumatif. Tahap develop LKM berbasis Mastery learning telah dilakukan sampai pada tahap validasi. Hasil validasi dari 2 orang validator berada pada kriteria valid dengan nilai validitas sebesar 88 %.  Nilai validitasi 88% ini menunjukan bahwa LKM berbasis Mastery learning pada mata kuliah genetika sudah dapat digunakan. Abstract

The effectiveness of animal physiology practical book based on guided inquiry model is the essential factor to achievement student understanding a about animal physiology concepts. The purpose of this study was to observe the effectiveness of animal physiology practical book based on guided inquiry model in Padang State University. The variables measured were affective, cognitive, psychomotor, and students’ activities. The data of this pre-experimental research were analyzed using averaged, percentage and standardized with Institutional assessment criteria. The results showed that the mean values were: 90.56 for affective competency (Criteria A), 82 for knowledge (Criteria A), and 89.66 for skills (Criteria A). Meanwhile, the percentage of student activities was 90.74% with very active category. It can be concluded that the effectiveness of practical book based on guided inquiry model was very effective to optimized student competences.

Abstract

Pengembangan penuntun praktikum melalui pendekatan Inkuiri Terbimbing merupakan upaya yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kreatifitas, menemukan sendiri pengetahuan mahasiswa melalui kegiatan praktikum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterlaksaaan kegiatan penggunaan penuntun praktikum dengan menggunakan pendekatan inkuiri terbimbing pada tahap diseminate di Universitas Negeri Padang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan pada tahap disseminate dengan menggunakan model 4D. Data diolah dengan rumus persentase. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan keterlaksanaan pendekatan inkuiri terbimbing selama praktikum memperoleh nilai 93,34% yang berada pada kategori sangat terlaksana. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan praktikum dengan menggunakan pendekatan inkuiri terbimbing sangat terlaksana.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran biologi mengajarkan mahasiswa untuk menciptakan media di SMP/SMA. Dalam pelaksanaan perkuliahan media yang diciptakan mahasiswa banyak yang tidak sesuai dengan tujuan pembelajaran, selain itu bahan ajar yang tersedia untuk membantu mahasiswa dalam menciptakan media biologi SMP/SMA tersebut belum memadai. Maka dikembangkan modul media pembelajaran biologi berorientasi Project Based Learning (PjBL). Pengembangan modul tersebut telah dilakukan sampai tahap validitas dengan hasil sangat valid. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melihat hasil praktikalitas modul media pembelajaran biologi berbasis project based learning (pjBL). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitain pengembangan menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D yang terdiri atas 4 tahap yaitu define, design, develop, and disseminate. Pada penelitian ini hanya tahap develop yaitu uji praktikalitas. Data penelitian diperoleh dari angket praktikalitas yang diberikan pada dosen dan mahasiswa dan diolah dengan analisis deskriptif. Hasil praktikalitas oleh dosen memperoleh rerata 96,17% (sangat praktis) dan rerata mahasiswa 81,90% (sangat praktis).  Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah dihasilkan modul media pembelajaran biologi berorientasi Project Based Learning (PjBL) sangat praktis dari dosen dan mahasiswa.

Abstract

Biology laboratory has an important role in the learning process. One of them is to train students' skills in understanding the biological material they have learned in class. STKIP biology laboratory PGRI West Sumatra consists of basic laboratories, botanical laboratories and zoology laboratories and hospitals. Where each laboratory has different specifics, basic laboratories that lead more to general subjects are mediocre in general biology, basic chemistry and others. While in the botany laboratory it is more directed to the subject of plants such as plant morphology, plant anatomy, low plant taxonomy and others. While the zoology laboratory is more focused on subjects such as, animal structure, animal physiology, animal development, animal taxonomy and others. While the wire house is often used for courses in agricultural cultivation, plant physiology, plant ecology and others. MAN I Padang Pariaman School is a school that works closely with biological study programs. One form of collaboration carried out with learning to laboratories in biology study programs with the guidance of lecturers and teaching assistants. The results obtained after the learning students receive a lot of what they learn from what they have seen and they get from the lecturer.

Abstract

The purpose of this activity is that the teacher has knowledge about making modules that will be used as teaching materials in the learning process. This activity is a dissemination of the research that has been carried out by the team, namely the development of Project Based Learning modules in Biology Learning Media Lectures. This service consists of several stages. First, the lecturer team as resource persons conveyed material related to teaching materials in general first, then followed by various learning resources and modules in particular. The second was followed by discussion and question and answer.

Abstract

Biology Learning Media Course requires students to be able to produce biology learning media. In the previous recovery, students were less creative in producing media for Biology. So students are less able to create suitable media. During this time students do not have the right learning resources in exploring creativity. For this reason, the development of project-based learning based modules is carried out to provide appropriate learning resources and increase student creativity. The purpose of this study was to determine curriculum analysis for the development of media learning modules based on pjbl. Research is a research development using the 4D model at defined stage. Curriculum analysis data were obtained through descriptive analysis. The results showed that 9 materials needed development in the module including communication, learning media, classification of educational media, characteristics of students and their relation to the biology learning media, the role of media in achieving learning objectives, multimedia, photography and video shooting, designing, presenting and displaying, of biology media, media scenarios biology learning. It can be concluded that there are nine materials in developing a learning media module based on PjBL.

Abstract

Biology learning strategies and designs are courses that teach the principles of learning and teaching and apply them in the biology learning process. So far, students only use printed textbooks as a reference. This is not in accordance with the existing needs, because students are more likely to look for teaching materials from the Internet. This results in learning to be monotonous, not interactive and does not increase student creativity. It is for this reason that researchers develop project-based interactive books so that learning becomes interactive and can increase student creativity. The purpose of this research is to determine the curriculum analysis and student analysis in the development of project-based interactive books. This research is a development research using the 4D model at a specified stage. The analysis data were obtained through descriptive analysis. The resulted showed that 10 materials need to be developed in the module. Can prove that there are ten materials developed. It can be concluded that there are ten materials developed in project-based interactive digital books and the age range of students is 18-21 years

Abstract

Guidance on guided animal inquiry based practicology has been developed with valid, practical and effective results. The guide developed is guided inquiry-oriented which can help students find their own knowledge when practicum activities are carried out. Guides developed are also in accordance with the correct guiding component. The purpose of this study is to see the results of student motivation in using guided inquiry-based physiology practicum guides. This research is a development study using the 4D model, the data is processed using a percentage formula. The results of data processing show that the motivation of students who use practicum guides get a percentage of 80.2% (highly motivated) and those who do not use practicum guides is 84.14% (highly motivated) It can be concluded that students are highly motivated towards the use of practicum guided animal physiology guides

Abstract

This research aims to increase student learning motivation through the use of interactive digital books based on project based learning. Biology learning strategy and design is one of the compulsory subjects that must be taken by students of the biology education study program at the University of PGRI West Sumatra and STKIP Ahlussunnah Bukititinggi. Based on observations made in the class of 2020 students who are taking biology learning strategy and design courses at the Biology Education Study Program at the University of PGRI West Sumatra and STKIP Ahlusunnah Bukittinggi, it was found the following problems, low student motivation in learning, this can be seen from students do not understand the explanation of the material presented by the lecturer, the students feel lazy when studying and do not want to read the material learned in the learning process and the boredom of students when listening to the lecturer explain the subject matter. One way that lecturers can do to increase learning motivation is to use digital books. So that with the digital book, students are expected to have the impetus or drive to carry out learning activities in higher education to achieve the learning goals they want. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The technique of collecting data is using a questionnaire, with 32 students as respondents. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is an increase in student learning motivation through the use of interactive digital books based on Project Based Learning (PjBL). The results are very high, namely 96.37%.
