Abstract

In the process of the Biology Learning Strategy and Design course at the Biology Education Study Program, PGRI University of West Sumatra with the material of cooperative learning models, lecturers use learning media, one of which is video media sourced from youtube. The purpose of this research is to find out how much students need for cooperative learning model video media in the Biology Learning Strategy and Design course. The research was designed with a 4D development model and only at the Define stage, namely the analysis of student needs. The results of the analysis of student needs showed  in the category of very need. This means that there is a need for the development of video media on cooperative learning model materials. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the students' need for video media for cooperative learning model materials is good to develop.

Abstract

Pembelajaran mata kuliah strategi belajar mengajar biologi adalah untuk melatih dan memperkenalkan penggunaan metode-metode dan model-model pembelajaran yang merujuk pada teori-teori belajar yang relevan dengan pendidikan biologi. Strategi tertuang ke dalam rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang kemudian diturunkan pada beberapa model. Model Pembelajaran kooperatif adalah kegiatan belajar mengajar kelompok kecil di mana siswa belajar dan bekerja sama untuk mencapai pengalaman belajar yang optimal baik untuk pengalaman individu maupun kelompok.. Media pembelajaran yang digunakan dosen dalam proses pembelajaran salah satunya media video. Media video mengenai model-model pembelajaran masih belum didesain secara khusus yang terkadang tidak sesuai dengan teori. Akibatnya mahasiswa kurang paham tentang langkah-langkah model pembelajaran tersebut. Untuk perlu dikembangkan media video yang didesain secara khusus pada materi model pembelajaran kooperatif berdasarkan kebutuhan mahasiswa. Tujuan penelitian ini menghasilkan media video pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan mahasiswa. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan model 4-D dan terbatas pada tahap define yaitu analisis kebutuhan siswa. Data diperoleh dari kuesioner dan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Kuesioner diperoleh rata-rata sebesar 88,12%. Sehingga kebutuhan mahasiswa akan media video pembelajaran baik untuk dikembangkan.

Abstract

In this experimental research to see the application of mind mapping media to student learning outcomes. This type of research is quantitative with experimental nature (Randomized Control Group Only Design). There are 2 classes of samples, namely class XI Mia 2 and XI Mia 3. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The instrument is in the form of objective questions that have been validated. The average result of the sample class has increased. In the cognitive aspect, it has increased from previous learning outcomes but still has not reached KKM. Because in the application of the technique there are advantages and disadvantages.

Abstract

The learning process requires a medium to achieve learning objectives. One of the learning media used in schools is LKPD. LKPD (Student Worksheets) are needed to support the material in the learning process. The LKPD available in schools is still in the form of sheets like books making students' low interest in reading and working on them. These learning media cannot be used at any time by students (less practical). Student worksheets that exist today need innovation so that they can keep up with the times and will make it easier for students to learn. One of the innovations in learning media that is used in learning is the Android-based LKPD. At SMAN 1 Lunang teachers use LKPD which is still in the form of sheets like books and there is no innovation in learning media. For this reason, it is necessary to develop teaching materials in the form of Android-based worksheets. The research aims to produce Android-based LKPD on cell material that is valid and practical. This Android-based LKPD development research uses a 4-D model. This model has four stages of development, namely define, design, develop and disseminate. This research was carried out until the develop stage, namely the validity test and practicality test. The validity test was tested by a validator consisting of 2 lecturers and 1 biology teacher. The practicality test was assessed by 1 biology teacher. The instrument used is a questionnaire. Data were analyzed descriptively using the percentage formula. The results of the Android-based LKPD validity test with a result of 84.88% with very valid criteria. Practicality test results with a result of 81.11% with very valid criteria. Based on the results of the validity test and practicality test, it can be concluded that this LKPD is very valid and very practical.

Abstract

Biology laboratory has an important role in the learning process. One of them is to train students' skills in understanding the biological material they have learned in class. STKIP biology laboratory PGRI West Sumatra consists of basic laboratories, botanical laboratories and zoology laboratories and hospitals. Where each laboratory has different specifics, basic laboratories that lead more to general subjects are mediocre in general biology, basic chemistry and others. While in the botany laboratory it is more directed to the subject of plants such as plant morphology, plant anatomy, low plant taxonomy and others. While the zoology laboratory is more focused on subjects such as, animal structure, animal physiology, animal development, animal taxonomy and others. While the wire house is often used for courses in agricultural cultivation, plant physiology, plant ecology and others. MAN I Padang Pariaman School is a school that works closely with biological study programs. One form of collaboration carried out with learning to laboratories in biology study programs with the guidance of lecturers and teaching assistants. The results obtained after the learning students receive a lot of what they learn from what they have seen and they get from the lecturer.

Abstract

The purpose of this activity is that the teacher has knowledge about making modules that will be used as teaching materials in the learning process. This activity is a dissemination of the research that has been carried out by the team, namely the development of Project Based Learning modules in Biology Learning Media Lectures. This service consists of several stages. First, the lecturer team as resource persons conveyed material related to teaching materials in general first, then followed by various learning resources and modules in particular. The second was followed by discussion and question and answer.

Abstract

Proses pembelajaran hendaknya berpusat pada siswa namun pada pelaksanaannya masih berpusat pada guru. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat penerapan model discovery learning dengan media gambar terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian eksperimen. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII MTsN 7 Pesisir Selatan pada tahun akademik 2018/2019. Kelas eksperimen adalah VIII. 5 dan kelas kontrol adalah VIII. 3 yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Desain penelitian ini adalah Randomized Control Posttest Only Design. Penilaian kognitif dapat dilihat dari tes akhir siswa. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji-t, dengan kriteria t hitung> t tabel. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan rata-rata tes hasil belajar siswa di kelas eksperimen adalah 80,70, di lain pihak rata-rata tes hasil belajar siswa di kelas kontrol adalah 69, 37. Setelah uji coba dilakukan, peneliti menemukan jika harga t hitung 6,59 dan t tabel 1,67 itu berarti t hitung> t tabel, sehingga hipotesis penelitian diterima. Dari hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan jika penerapan Discovery Learning Model dengan media gambar dapat meningkatkan skor siswa dalam mata pelajaran biologi dalam domain kognitif di kelas VIII MTsN 7 Pesisir Selatan.

Abstract

Propose the research is determine the relationship of learning motivation and student learning outcomes in biology learning media courses at STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of learning motivation and student learning outcomes in biology learning media courses at STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat. This research is a descriptive study. The sample are students at biology learning media course. Sample method using total sampling techniques and the research instrument was a student questionnaire. The results of this study, namely r count = 0.07 and r table = 0.266. This shows that the value of rcount < ttable which means there is no significant relationship. Thus, this research states that there is a very low and insignificant relationship between motivation and student learning outcomes in biology learning media courses at STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat academic year 2018/2019.

Abstract

Microlearning is small-scale learning containing content designed into small segments through various media formats, so that the available information becomes "short content" which allows someone to quickly understand the material in the content and can learn anywhere and at any time through technology, information and communication devices. . Microlearning is created in various formats such as podcasts, PowerPoint slides, infographics, motion graphics, explainer videos, as well as interactive video conferences and gamification. Microlearning makes learning easier to understand, remembered for a long time, increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of PBM. The aim of the training in this community service activity is to provide knowledge and skills for teachers at SMP IT Attin West Sumatra to be able to produce more interesting media and increase students' interest in learning and achieve learning goals.The result of this service is an increase in teacher knowledge and skills in being able to produce microlearning that is appropriate to the subjects being taught.
