Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merekonstruksi konsep supervisi pendidikan Islam berdasarkan perspektif Al-Qur'an dan Hadis dalam konteks era modern. Supervisi pendidikan Islam selama ini lebih banyak mengadopsi model konvensional Barat yang belum sepenuhnya berlandaskan nilai-nilai Islam. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode library research dan analisis konten terhadap sumber-sumber primer Al-Qur'an, Hadis, serta literatur pendidikan Islam kontemporer, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa: (1) Al-Qur'an dan Hadis mengandung prinsip-prinsip supervisi yang komprehensif, mencakup dimensi amar ma'ruf nahi munkar, tawashau bil haqq, muraqabah, muhasabah, dan ishlah; (2) Rekonstruksi konsep supervisi Islam menghendaki integrasi nilai tauhid sebagai landasan ontologis, nilai keadilan ('adl) sebagai landasan aksiologis, dan nilai kemaslahatan sebagai orientasi teleologis; (3) Model supervisi pendidikan Islam berbasis Al-Qur'an dan Hadis di era modern menekankan aspek transformatif, kolaboratif, dan berbasis nilai-nilai profetik. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah perlunya reformulasi kebijakan supervisi pendidikan Islam yang lebih autentik secara teologis dan relevan secara sosiologis di era digital.

Abstract

The main issue addressed in this study is the limited involvement of teachers in decision-making and the low level of appreciation, which impacts organisational loyalty. This study aims to analyse the influence of female transformational leadership on teacher loyalty at SMAN 4 Sijunjung. A qualitative method with a case study design was employed. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis, and were subsequently analysed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that female transformational leadership is implemented through moral exemplarity, participatory communication, and Islamic values such as amanah, musyawarah, and rahmah. These practices build trust and strengthen teachers’ emotional loyalty to the organisation. These findings confirm that a humanistic-religious leadership approach contributes to strengthening the school’s organisational culture. This study is limited to a single location with a limited number of informants and therefore cannot yet be widely generalised. Further research is recommended to involve more schools and employ a mixed-methods approach to obtain a more comprehensive picture

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of increasing teacher professional competence, which is suspected to be influenced by the transformational leadership of the principal and the learning community (kombel). The purpose of this study is to determine the positive and significant influence of the transformational leadership of the principal and the learning community (kombel) on teacher professional competence. This study uses a quantitative correlation approach with a population of 970 teachers. A sample of 283 teachers was taken using a probability sampling technique through proportional cluster sampling in each school. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire. Instrument development was carried out through several stages, namely the preparation of the instrument grid, validity testing, and reliability testing. The questionnaire was distributed to respondents using Google Forms. Data analysis techniques were carried out using the classical assumption test as a prerequisite, followed by hypothesis testing using simple linear regression and multiple linear regression. The results of the study indicate that the transformational leadership of the principal influences the professional competence of junior high school teachers in Limapuluh Kota Regency, the learning community (kombel) influences the professional competence of junior high school teachers in Limapuluh Kota Regency, and the transformational leadership of the principal and the learning community (kombel) jointly influences the professional competence of junior high school teachers. Therefore, school principals need to optimize the implementation of transformational leadership and increase learning community (kombel) activities on an ongoing basis to support the improvement of teachers' professionalism.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas integrasi nilai Qurani dan Nabawi dalam supervisi pendidikan Islam kontemporer. Supervisi pendidikan Islam tidak hanya dipahami sebagai proses pengawasan administratif, tetapi juga sebagai bentuk pembinaan yang menekankan nilai amanah, keteladanan, musyawarah, dan profesionalisme. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kepustakaan (library research). Data dikumpulkan melalui berbagai sumber berupa jurnal ilmiah, buku, artikel nasional dan internasional, serta ayat Al-Qur’an dan hadis yang relevan dengan supervisi pendidikan Islam. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif-analitis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa supervisi pendidikan Islam yang berlandaskan nilai Qurani dan Nabawi mampu menciptakan proses pembinaan yang humanis, kolaboratif, dan berorientasi pada peningkatan mutu pendidikan. Integrasi nilai spiritual dalam supervisi dinilai relevan dalam menghadapi tantangan pendidikan modern, terutama dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme guru dan kualitas pembelajaran di lembaga pendidikan Islam.

Abstract

Educational supervision is a critical institutional mechanism for improving teacher professionalism and learning quality, yet it has long been dominated by administrative control rather than professional mentoring. This library research study analyzes the transformation of the educational supervision paradigm across three conceptual dimensions: (1) the limitations of the administrative-control paradigm, which positions teachers as evaluation objects and perpetuates top-down, compliance-oriented relationships; (2) the shift toward humanistic, collaborative, and coaching-based supervision that reconstitutes teachers as professional partners; and (3) the emergence of modern supervision as continuous professional mentoring integrating coaching, clinical supervision, peer learning, and digital tools within the framework of instructional leadership. Drawing on a systematic analysis of international and national literature from Scopus-indexed journals, policy documents, and academic texts, this study argues that supervision must be reconstructed as a process of professional humanization, empowerment, and learning quality enhancement. Practical implications are offered for school principals, supervisors, and policymakers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi perencanaan karir dalam pendidikan Islam. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur. Sumber utama data penelitian adalah artikel hasil penelitian yang dipublikasi melalui berbagai jurnal dan terindeks google scholar. Artikel yang digunakan sebagai sumber data utama adalah artikel yang dipublikasikan maksimal 10 tahun terakhir. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data kualitatif yang terdiri dari reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Temuan penelitian ini yaitu perencanaan karir dalam pendidikan Islam dimulai dengan pemahaman yang mendalam tentang diri sendiri. Individu didorong untuk memahami potensi, minat, bakat, serta nilai- nilai yang dimilikinya, sejalan dengan ajaran Islam yang menekankan pentingnya introspeksi dan penemuan diri. Dengan pemahaman yang mendalam tentang diri sendiri, individu dapat mengidentifikasi tujuan karir yang sesuai dengan nilai- nilai agama dan aspirasi pribadi yang berkualitas

Abstract

To improve library management in accordance with the National Library Standards (SNP), schools must comprehensively implement the Head of Library Regulation No. 11 of 2017. This study aims to examine the implementation of: (1) collection standards, (2) facilities and infrastructure standards, (3) service standards, and (4) library personnel standards at SMP N 5 Batusangkar based on the Head of Library Regulation No. 11 of 2017. This research employed a qualitative evaluation using the discrepancy model. The study was conducted at SMP N 5 Batusangkar, involving three key informants: the school principal, the head librarian, and a library staff. Research instruments consisted of interview guidelines, observation sheets, and documentation. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis. Data analysis was carried out using data triangulation, including source and technique triangulation. The results of the study show that: from the 12 library collection standards, only 1 standard has not been implemented. Second, from the 5 standards of library facilities and infrastructure, the 4 standards have not been implemented properly. Third, from the 10 library service standards, only 4 standards have been implemented, but the other 6 standards have not been implemented properly. Fourth, from the 6 standards of library staff, only 4 standards have been implemented, but the other 2 standards have not been implemented properly. In other words, the library of SMP N 5 Batusangkar has implemented the Head of Library Regulation No. 11 of 2017, but still needs improvement in several aspects.

Abstract

The development of teacher professionalism in elementary schools depends not only on pedagogical and cognitive competence but also on spiritual intelligence, which forms the foundation of integrity, work ethic, and teacher exemplarity in shaping students’ character. This study aims to describe the management of the peer coaching program at SDN 15 Koto Panjang Kota Solok as an effort to enhance teacher professionalism based on spiritual intelligence. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation and data reduction. The findings show that the management of the peer coaching program is carried out through several stages: planning, which involves identifying teachers’ spiritual needs and integrating character values into lesson modules; implementation, which consists of conducting peer coaching sessions twice a month in a safe environment that allows teachers to share challenges, receive technical guidance, and gain spiritual reinforcement from the principal; and supervision, conducted through academic and non-academic monitoring to ensure consistent application of spiritual values and teacher professionalism in teaching practices. This program has been proven to contribute to improving instructional quality, teachers’ emotional resilience, and the strengthening of students’ character. Thus, peer coaching based on spiritual intelligence becomes an effective program for building teacher professionalism while addressing the challenges of moral degradation.   Keywords: peer coaching management, teacher professionalism, and spiritual based

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of principals and supervisors in implementing supervision as an effort to improve teacher performance. The problem studied focuses on the suboptimal implementation of supervision, which results in low quality teacher performance. The method used in this study is a literature study using various sources, including books and scientific articles. The data collection process was carried out through searching, grouping, and analyzing various references related to educational supervision, the role of the principal, and the duties of supervisors. The results of the study indicate that principals have a strategic role in implementing academic supervision directly in the school environment, specifically in fostering and improving the quality of teacher learning. In addition, supervisors play a role as coaches who provide direction, assessment, and reinforcement in the implementation of supervision implemented by the principal. Good cooperation between the principal and supervisor is a crucial element in the progress of supervision. The implementation of supervision that is used in a planned, systematic, and sustainable manner has been proven to improve the professional and pedagogical competence of teachers. In addition, the success of supervision also depends on the understanding and supervisory skills of the implementers. Therefore, improving the capabilities of principals and supervisors in implementing optimal supervision is essential. Therefore, it can be formulated that supervision carried out optimally with the assistance of the principal and supervisor can optimize teacher performance in real terms.

Abstract

Educational supervision is a crucial strategy for improving the quality of learning through teacher coaching and mentoring. However, its implementation still faces several challenges, such as a lack of pedagogical competence, a lack of diversity in teaching methods, and a lack of evaluation. This results in suboptimal classroom learning. Therefore, this study aims to examine the application of educational supervision to address various obstacles experienced by teachers and improve the quality of learning. This study employed a literature study approach, utilizing relevant books and scientific articles as sources. Data collection techniques included searching, reviewing, and analyzing literature related to educational supervision and teacher performance. The data obtained were then analyzed descriptively to gain a deeper understanding of the role of supervision in education. These findings demonstrate that structured, systematic, and continuous implementation of educational supervision can help teachers improve the learning process, including planning, implementation, and evaluation. Furthermore, supervision contributes to improving teacher professionalism through the provision of valuable guidance and feedback. So with this, effective educational supervision can be the main solution in overcoming several obstacles, teacher problems as well as improving the quality of learning as a whole.
